Chapter Text
Moon was interrupted from sleep she finally wished to catch up on, by none other than an all-powerful semi-immortal dragon they had an active manhunt for.
Darkstalker had been found near the Rainforest Kingdom by Glory. They’d sent Kinkajou, Moon, Turtle, and Peril near the edge of the rainforest where he’d been seen. A small town called Dango. The locals were hosting a small gathering of trade, and by the time they’d arrived Darkstalker was standing around them. His size slightly larger then when he’d come out of the mountain, and wings encircling most of the villagers.
Moon watched from where they were hovering, as Darkstalker pointed his sceptre at an older RainWing fruit merchant. Peril quickly landed in front of them, using their fiery scales to deflect the attack.
“Y’know,” Peril began. “Last time I watched an execution, I don’t remember the part with an old man with a scary stick.” She finished with her smug flare to make Darkstalker upset.
“Ah,” Darkstalker shrank himself to be the size of a larger adult dragon. “Queen Scarlet’s weapon, and you wish to talk to me about killing?”
“Oh, I’m not here to talk.” Peril said her prepared one-liner, just as the rest of them descended.

Darkstalker was genuinely unsurprised they hadn’t killed him, although he was expecting more security in his transport. It was simply four dragons carrying him in a vine-net with his talons tied beneath him. Obviously he wasn’t stupid enough to try and escape, his wings were bound, but teasing these colorfully-dressed dragons was becoming more and more tempting.
He was carried back to Jade Mountain swiftly, where they placed him in a small cave. A glass panel allowed people to observe him from outside, and small glowing orbs were placed in one of the corners, most likely a camera. Stalactites hang from the ceiling, threatening to impale him any second from now.
A deep blue SeaWing entered the room. He immediately recognized who.
“What did you mean when you said ‘all your power’.” Tsunami demanded.
“I don’t have to tell you anything.” Darkstalker smiled.
Tsunami turned around to face a small screen slanted into a wall. “You see those big, spooky spikes above you?” Darkstalker looked up as she said that. “Refuse to speak, shout, you so much as scratch that glass,” One smaller stalactite fell close to his tail. “Death by impalement. You understand how that works?”
“You remembered my corny villain speech. Can’t believe you believed me. I already have what I need.” Darkstalker responded.
“Then why’re you here?” Tsunami crossed her talons.
“To show you what real power is. Hate to tell you, but it’s not just the threat of death, but a threat even more powerful than life’s greatest mercy.”
Tsunami rolled her eyes. “Well let me know if Real Power wants a book or something.” Then she left, leaving the NightWing to think, and search, by himself.

Qibli had stolen the key to their stash of iridium from the large ignorant MudWing they call Clay. He’d been asleep with nothing more than a large rock from outside somewhere. The key- The key that guarded the most precious metal Qibli had ever heard of- on a table on the complete opposite side of the room.
The iridium was a grey, glassy cylinder that sat in a box he was carrying in his talons. Darkstalker was purposefully captured as the distraction Qibli requested, the key he stole for himself.
Winter was waiting at the top of JMA for the one thing Darkstalker needed them to do.
“Here.” he said, handing the glassy cylinder to Winter.
Winter nodded as Qibli shuffled away to where the rest of the NightWings sat.

The Bridge was lit by the sun shining through the glass above them. It reflects off the small memorial statue made for their lost agents.
Sunny saw a red light blink on her radar. She looked at Tsunami, and ushered her over. Tsunami pointed at her radio.
“I see you on the radar but not on our lists. What is your haul? Over.” Sunny placed her radio down.
“Arms and ammunition.” Came back through the radio.
Tsunami looked down at Sunny, genuinely confused.
