Chapter Text
_______________________________________
A few days have passed since the accident.
Spoke was confused, where was Vortex? It's been days since he last saw him.. Was Vortex ok? Was he hurt? Where was he? Even his parents said that they haven't seen Vortex anywhere.. Where could Vortex be?
Spoke wanted to ask his younger brother who seemed eerily calm despite knowing the news that Vortex went missing. But, Spoke didn't go through with it, he knew his younger brother as a very calm person. No matter the situation, Parrot would always try to stay calm and think.
So Spoke left his brother alone. Oblivious to the fact that the very reason Vortex was missing, is because of his younger brother..

Parrot was just staring at the wall. He just killed one of his best friends, but for some reason… he was not sad or anything. In fact, he didn't feel guilty at all! Parrot looked at the bracelet on his wrist, hidden by his long sleeved shirt. A smirk appeared on his face.
“...I wonder… what can I do with this..?”
And with that, Parrot stood up from his bed and sneaked out of the house. Wemmbu and Flame we're out anyway and Spoke is probably in his room with Mapicc.
Parrot walked towards the forest, a place where no one would wander in the middle of the day.
Parrot rolled up his sleeves, looking at the sparkling bracelet.
“Was it always sparkly and bright like this..?”
Parrot shook his head, focusing on the bracelet now. He tried his best to use the bracelet but he failed, over and over again. A few minutes passed then suddenly..
A chat box appeared in front of Parrot. He couldn't believe his eyes. Finally, he got it to work! Parrot was smart. Incredibly smart. He knew a command or two where he learned from the books he read.
“I knew those books were not useless! Hah, take that Spoke!” Parrot gleamed with excitement.
Parrot typed in “/fly” in the chat box. He could already fly using his wings but it doesn't hurt to try this, right?
The moment he pressed send, he felt his feet levitate a bit from the ground, like all gravity has left his body. “Oh this is going to be fun..” Parrot said with a mischievous grin.

“I'm really worried for Vortex… it's not like him to just.. Disappear like that.” Spoke said, laying on his bed.
“Maybe he went somewhere and just didn't tell anyone..?” Mapicc tried cheering his voidling friend up despite knowing that it probably won't work.
“But he would've told someone! From what I was able to pin down, Me and Parrot were the last people to see Vortex…” Spoke took a pillow and buried his face on it.
“Oh yeah, how's Parrot doing? From what I know, he and Vortex we're best friends.”
Mapicc asked.
“Parrot has been… oddly calm.. But I mean- Parrot is always calm even if the situation is dire…” Spoke said confidently. He knew his little brother more than anyone else. (Did he really?)
“Oh. Well, I hope we find Vortex soon..” Mapicc reassured the voidling on the bed.
“Yeah.. I hope so too..” Spoke smiled a little. There was a part of him that was happy that it was Vortex that went missing instead of Mapicc. He felt quite bad for that..

“Crap!” Parrot shouted as he flew straight into a tree. Flying without using his wings was weird and very hard to adjust to. He would lose control and bump into branches and logs.
Parrot tried to fly straight but then suddenly, he got caught up in a bunch of leaves and eventually fell down to the ground.
Parrot winced as he tried to stand up, his head was bleeding slightly. He looked straight ahead of him and realized that someone was there, staring at him.
A young human with a purple bandana and gray sweater with a yin-yang symbol on it was staring at him, eyes wide in shock.
“.... W-who… ?” Parrot murmured weakly before his vision started to blur and black out.
