Chapter Text
“Wow Loid, you’re so good with hair!” Yor praised looking at Anya’s short French braids. Anya looked happy with the hairstyle, parading her braids in the mirror and turning on herself any time she stopped in front of someone. Loid gave a small chuckle. Yor was sat on the couch, a cup of tea in her hands. Anya was running after Bond in the living room, and Loid was washing dishes after the supper in the kitchen.
“Oh, thank you Yor. I just try my best for my daughter. Ive always done her hair since she was little, so Ive had a lot of practice.” Yor smiled.
“It shows!” Anya stopped and looked at her dad a moment, smiling.
‘Papa’s a big liar. He’s good with hair because sometimes papa’s a girl too with long hair and makeup; just like mama!’
“Papa, maybe you should have long hair too, then we could braid your hair and Mama’s, and all have pretty hair like me!” Anya smiled. Yor just chuckled, but Loid twitched at the proposition.
Being a man, a father, being Loid Forger all day long, was sometimes exhausting and sometimes even uncomfortable. Twilight said dressing as a woman was simply for the missions, but they’d be lying if they didn’t admit that they sometimes enjoyed it.
But Loid Forger could never. He was a perfectly normal, inconspicuous family man. Twilight was WISE’s best agent, it would be truly shameful to admit they ruined the mission and were caught by the SSS because being a man 24/7 made their skin crawl on some days.
“Don’t be ridiculous Anya.” Loid replied with a straight face.
“I don’t know, I think you could actually be quite good looking with long hair.” Yor added. Loid froze and looked at Yor a moment, but quickly looked back down at the dishes, and tried to forget the conversation.
Operation Strix was of high importance. And with people like Yuri always on his case, and trying to approach someone as careful as Donovan Desmond, the smallest slip up could put the entire operation in peril. They He just had to stay in character. Couldn’t be too hard, right?
