Chapter Text

“Was it really a good idea to leave HamHam and SoDa to their own devices?” Yooyeon leaned back into the pillows, arms behind her head and still high enough to have a proper look at Nien who hadn’t come back to lay down yet.

“Otter boy is with them.” Nien now turned to face Yooyeon’s way with a cheeky smile on her face. “It might take 5 hours, a burned karaoke booth and some white hairs but they’ll be fine. They’ve got plot armor, unnie.”

She loved the ease Nien brought to everything, her open and wide smile becoming even brighter when she picked out Seoyeon and Yooyeon among other people.

“They better burn down that karaoke booth faster, I’m starving!” Nien said dramatically, arms thrown up in the air and then ruffling through her brown bob, Dahyun had cut for her in their bathroom after Seoyeon lost a pack of chewing gum. Kaede refused to tell her what happened on that weekend when Yooyeon visited her younger brother in Jakarta.

“Are you ever going to tell me what happened to your hair?”

“What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”

“Really?” Yooyeon snorted and couldn’t hold her laughter anymore, Nien grinning herself and slowly stepping up to the bed, crawling her way to Yooyeon and now straddling her legs. “Our bathroom equates to Vegas now.”

“The things we did in there during that weekend surely represent what tends to happen on Vegas weekends.”

“You filmed an illicit tape or something?” This drew a disbelieving laugh right out of Nien while Yooyeon waited for her to calm down. “Got secretly married and then annulled it so I wouldn’t get jealous for not witnessing it.” At this point Nien was struggling to stay upright and had to hold her stomach from laughing so much, crumbling on top of Yooyeon as she tried to calm down.

“Holy shit, SoDa and HamHam burned down your synapsis. I thought you were supposed to be normal.”

“I never claimed to be normal.” Yooyeon said cheekily.

“Fair enough that title belongs to Kaede.” Nien said casually while Yooyeon raised an eyebrow at her. “Yeah I know, in isolation she’d probably get thrown into jail after the shit she usually gets up to but in combo with us…” the raised eyebrow and conspiratorial look she gave Yooyeon could have been straight out of a sitcom, “she seems scarily normal.”

“Yo, you better not fuck in there!” Dahyun’s voice bellowed outside their room and then the door slammed right open. Kaede had her hands stuffed in her pockets while Dahyun’s leg was raised up to her knee and Seoyeon already held her hands out in case her childhood friend’s balance gave out. “Man, I thought I’d get good blackmail material on you two.” The look of disappointment on Dahyun’s face would have been more suited to be on Seoyeon’s face considering who was on the bed.

“I’d say I would be surprised but I expected nothing less.” Yooyeon exchanged a knowing look with Nien.

“Can we speed the romance and sex talk up and go back to that board restaurant, they have Wagyu beef.” Kaede’s statement had everyone’s eyes turned their way.

“Ya Jagiya, why didn’t you say something earlier?” Dahyun had her hands on Kaede’s shoulders while her girlfriend deadpanned at her.

“I had to keep you both from smashing up the bowling alley.” Kaede said dryly.

“Ah, that checks out.” Seoyeon nodded in understanding while Dahyun now hugged Kaede.

“That guy glued the pins on, justice needed to be served.”

“Serve justice on the guy who did it and not on the bowling alley that did nothing but be victim to that crime.” Dahyun actually looked like she was considering what Kaede was saying before going right back to hugging her girlfriend.

“Alright, get off each other.” Seoyeon frowned at Dahyun who was grinning now. “Or get each other off.” Kaede groaned while Seoyeon couldn’t even hide how impressed she was at Dahyun’s word play and gave her a high-five.

“Okay, party people, let's blow our money on Wagyu!” Nien declared and everyone yelled in agreement.

“CAN YOU CRAZY PEOPLE SHUT UP!!” Without missing a beat Dahyun yelled right back at their neighbour beyond the walls.

“Shut up yourself, we’re living our youth!”

“That’s our girl.” Yooyeon said warmly while nodding at an equally proud looking Seoyeon and Nien. Kaede looked both exhausted and very content at being hugged by Dahyun.

The way to the aforementioned board restaurant was actually quite idyllic for their standards. Nobody was suggesting any crimes or public displays of affection that resembled public displays that would lead to moral outrage by the ones who’d witness it.

“I can finally cross, blowing money on Wagyu steak, off my bucket list.” Nien said proudly as she leaned back into her seat.

“Any more points on your bucket list that need crossing off?” Seoyeon was leaning against Nien, situated right between her two girlfriends. Yooyeon was busy eating another portion of the steak.

“Well the threesome is taken care of.” Dahyun said casually, Kaede nearly choked on the piece of steak she was trying to chew.

“Were you there or something?” Kaede said after Dahyun had helped her get that piece of steak down.

“I was the wingwoman, without me this disaster wouldn’t be the multifunctional cheese of this sandwich.” Seoyeon frowned at Dahyun who had the biggest shit-eating grin on her face. “Thank me on your threeway wedding.”

“I don’t think we’ll be alive by the time that gets legalized.” Kaede frowned heavily. “Maybe we could blackmail them into it.”

“Ah, there is the Soju.” Yooyeon said as the waiter all handed them glasses and placed three bottles in the middle of the table. By the time the first round was over, Nien’s face was flushed and full of determination.

“Legal or not doesn’t matter, I’m marrying both of you and if the freaking officiator has to be a tatted up Yakuza who’s a parttime stripper. I am down for all of it just so I can say you’re both my wives.” Nien stood up, nearly toppling over the side and sloshing the rest of her Soju around. Seoyeon held her by the waist, her own face flushed but more because of her girlfriend than from the alcohol.

“That was the most romantic and ridiculously sexy monologue you ever made. Seoyeon-ah she’s a keeper, if you won’t marry her then I will.” Dahyun declared and raised her soju glass. “I call dibs on the Yakuza stripper though. No offence, Jagiya.”

“None taken, that wedding would be remembered for generations.” Kaede surrendered to the chaos and drank up the rest of her own Soju.

As more alcohol flowed and most of their vacation budget flew right out of their pockets over steak, none of them found it in themselves to regret it. The emotional whirlwind Nien began to cook up was interrupted. With their bills paid, they made their way over to their rooms but nobody cared which room belonged to whom and Yooyeon kicked open the first door in front of them.

Stumbling inside, Nien was the first to go down with Dahyun following right after her and both of them snoring immediately.

“Typical.” Kaede said with an amused smile.

“That’s how we love ‘em.” Yooyeon said wisely while Seoyeon nodded.

“Yeah, we do.”

While Nien and Dahyun were splayed over the mattress Kaede simply crawled into the space right between them and fell asleep right away.

Seoyeon and Yooyeon chuckled and looked at each other for a moment.

“Are we engaged now?” Seoyeon asked and raised her eyebrow amusedly.

“Who cares about what the government says, if you ask me we’ve been married since we stepped onto this ship.” Yooyeon said matter of factly. “Let’s get rings when we get off the ship, alright? But first Nien-ah needs to sleep off her hangover.”

“Oh god, we could buy a matching set with Kaede and Dahyun.” Seoyeon grinned and Yooyeon sighed warmly.

“I want to see the expression of the jeweler when we ask him for a matching set of five rings.”

“It’ll be for the history books.”

“Truly trailblazing.”

“Exactly as I want.” Now Seoyeon climbed on top of the mattress and laid down on Nien while Yooyeon was now laying right next to them. “I couldn’t imagine a better way for the rest of my life to go.”

Notes:

Welcome to the trivia corner of this chapter and genuinely this story is just straight up crack.

Anyway I have like a couple concepts for SunnyPpotoz lined up in my drafts somewhere... haven't checked on those WIPS for a while now. My whole brain is like taken up by writing Scars and the 03z Soulmate AU that is slowly mutating into 03z x TwoTenz. I accidentally kickstarted a whole polycule and I am running with it.

Completely off topic but recently I got hit by the very fact that Detroit Become Human came out in 2018... and that game played in 2038... we have 2026 now.

But yeah... we'll see what other things I'll kick up next. More Scars for sure and maybe for SunnyPpotoz and... maybe another ship I thought about that makes sense to me.

Anyway until next time...

Notes:

Welcome to the trivia corner of this fic.

I was initially (like 5 hours ago) debating on making this whole fic only 03z and adding another 03z fic into the wild. But I quickly changed that into SunnyPpotoz with a side of Blueroomz because of course.

But yeah while I am typing this note I am doing like some minimal editing on the fic. I already have a vision for chapter 2 which is just them all in their rooms and being soft and cute. You can never have enough fluff next to all that angst (looks at my other fic Scars).

Unless the second chapter like really explodes in length this fic should be wrapped up as a twoshot.

I don't have much else to say since this fic is kind of like the other two SunnyPpotoz fics I wrote more a writing exercise intended as downtime from writing the emotional behemoth that Scars is.

Anyway there might either be another chapter of Scars this weekend or the second chapter of this or both cuz that might as well happen.

Alright I yapped enough, until next time...
