Oh.
It's the opposite of platonic, is it. Why didn't he realize it sooner? Derapchu has been avoiding his feelings like the plague, thinking it was just normal stuff and totally platonic.
All this time, he's been in denial with his feelings. It's even harder to deal with now. What if Wifies didn't like him back? What if he just thinks of him as a friend? He'd rather bare the pain of just being friends than- bing! A new notification.
…
Whatever, he'll just figure it out.
| Avery :
"Yo Derap wanna hang out? I'm lowk soooooooo bored rn it's critical"
Avery asking him to hang out? Feels kind of rare, but whatever that keeps him away from questioning his sexuality and having a crisis.
| Derapchu :
"Sure dude where tho??"
| Avery :
"Idk the park?"
| Derapchu :
"Aight"
They eventually meet up at the park, walking around the place as they talked about their day.
"Hey, Derap?" Avery suddenly asked. Snapping Derapchu out of his thoughts.
"Huh, yeah? What's up Avery?"
"How have you been with Wifies?"
Derapchu's mind short-circuit, how was he supposed to reply to her question? He doesn't even know how to tell her if he could be in love with her friend, this is a very hard question for him.
"Oh, Wifies? Yeah… Yeah! We're uh, alright." He stuttered, fidgeting the hen of his hoodie.
Avery laughed. Not just a giggle, but a full genuine laugh. Did he said something weird?
"PFFT! Oh c'mon Derap, I know you're lying."
"Listen dude. Whatever it is, don't be afraid to tell me. We're buddies after all, right? So tell me, what do you really feel about Wifies?" She pats his back, comforting the guy.
"It's just… I don't know man, I suddenly felt this way for him. I mean look at him! He's kind, kinda mysterious but still! You can't convince me that you don't think he's not good looking."
"I mean, yeah. He is good looking I'll agree on that." She admitted, noting something in her head.
Derapchu rants off about Wifies to Avery as she takes note. This is going according to plan, it feels a little too easy-
"Avery." Derapchu called out, snapping the blonde girl out of her thoughts.
"Huh, yeah? Whatchu need Derap?"
"I need to get his number, Avery."
