“They are the one who feed us. From torment and suffering under a false god.” Jester huffed out as they came to.
“As such they are to be revered and beloved. Kept safe from all harm~” Then Jester went on a delusional rant about how much they liked 1x which only served to weird 1x out.
“This guy’s a freak…” 1x whispered to Shedletsky.
“I think that’s the point.” Shedletsky says back with a chuckle.
“I’m going to strangle you…” 1x hissed, only earning a chuckle and side hug from Shedletsky.
“So wait, that doesn’t explain why you have this cube thing tho!” Bluudud exclaimed, pointing at the box.
“It’s been passed down through my family for generations. I was never a true witness to the great revolution however my parents were, they swore that one day I would show true appreciation to our savior.” Jester stopped the delusion to spit some facts.
TicketTaker nodded along knowingly. “I too know of the story of our savior. I may not be as taken as Jester however I too am very proud of keeping the cubes safe.”
Then silence came.

.
“There’s more?” 1x asks quietly. “Is there… one for happiness?” He asks.
“There is, it is the one I guard. We were going to present it to you once we guaranteed your safety.” TicketTaker explained.
1x immediately turned to look at Shedletsky expectantly.
“Dude, those boxes make it so I can’t feel them easily. It’s going to be harder to find them in those.” Shedletsky huffed.
“Pleaseeeee! I neeeed thisss! If you find the happiness one for me ill like i don’t know- be happy!” 1x pleaded while holding Shedletsky’s shoulders and shaking him.
“F-fine! Fine! Just stop!” Shedletsky was subsequently let go and when he gained his footing he immediately puked on the floor.
“Sorry… just like gimme a sec.”
“You need to not shake him like that.” 007n7 says with a wince.
“He’ll be fine, I've done worse.” 1x huffs impatiently.
“Happiness won’t work until you also obtain love. It will only bring momentary joy and satisfaction. It will wear off slowly until it is drained unless you collect them all.” TicketTaker explains loudly trying to regain attention.
It worked… 1x looked dejected, still having some sadness left from exposure to the blue cube they failed to stop themself from making a depressed sigh.
“Hey, look on the bright side, we have more adventures to go in this way! We still have to get Slasher and Bluudud’s moms or whatever~ this just means you still have something to look for during the journey!” Shedletsky cheerfully stated.
“I just want it to be over… I want to feel emotions other than hatred and now sadness!” 1x ranted with a growl.
“Perhaps you should move onto the next reality. We have no need for you to assist us here. We’d like to wait for your return, we can keep the happiness cube here so it is easier to find us.” Azure says while curling parts of their body around TwoTime lovingly.
“When you return we will be able to set up a true home for us all, perhaps this would be the best reality for us all to take as our own. After all we have built quite the life here~” TwoTime purred while snuggling back into Azure.
“You’d promise to return within our lifetimes, my dearest angel of destruction!” Jester called out with pure enthusiasm.
“You guys need to keep this guy on a leash, I genuinely can’t with this shit.” 1x grumbled putting more distance between himself and Jester.
“Well, maybe we should stay here over night, it’s best that we get some rest between worlds.” Shedletsky mimicked Dusekkar in his speech pattern in an attempt to sound cool but this only gained him a few tired grumbles from 1x and a thumbs up from Slasher.
Bluudud was too busy enjoying his time with C00lkidd to care. It was nice seeing him actually acting his age, being like an older sibling or cousin to the younger red boy.
It hurt Shedletsky’s heart to know his mother was missing, leaving this poor child without his only parent.
Papa bird to the rescue, he started to slowly mimic a parent by preening Bluudud when he got some dirt on him.
The kids built a whole pillow fort in 007n7’s room, leaving him without a space to sleep but Harlequin was quick to suggest he take this as a first time to sleep over at the circus with him. Something 007n7 agreed with.
In the end they all managed to find spaces to sleep, 1x and Shedletsky took the couch in the living room, both subsequently kicking one another in their sleep like twins in the womb fighting for space.
Slasher… doesn’t really sleep that often. But he was alright with watching the duo on the couch from his chair.
Bluudud and C00lkidd were having their first sleepover in forever inside of the pillow fort.
Calm and happiness fell over the group as they were allowed a full rest.
