Chapter Text
When James woke up the next morning, he was alone in mommy’s bed, but his phone had been left on the nightstand nearby, already playing a relaxing hypno track, probably to keep him soothed when mommy got out of bed to start her day. James lay there for a long while, letting himself wake up, nursing his binky and feeling the dampness of his night night diapey, which he’d definitely wet in his sleep again. He remembered mommy telling him he could potty train if he went a few nights without a wet diapey, and he giggled softly at the knowledge that he would probably never have a dry night again.
You’re right where you were always meant to be, the hypno track reassured him. In a wet diaper, needing your mommy to come change you, and feed you your breakfast bottle.
That did sound nice. He heard soft sounds coming from the kitchen, probably mommy making breakfast, but he laid under the blankets where she’d left him, knowing she would come get him when he needed to get up.
Not much later, she did, cooing to him as she crawled onto the bed next to him, stroking his hair and kissing his forehead.
“Morning, my sweet little bunny,” she said, smiling down at him, her beautiful dark curls tickling his face. “Time to start the day, okay? Let’s have a diapey change and some breakfast.”
He nodded eagerly, hugging his octopus to his chest as mommy slid down the bed, pulling away the blankets and unsnapping his footed onesie to reveal his wet diaper. Mommy didn’t even comment on it—it was just expected that his night night diapey would be wet in the morning, because he was a baby who couldn’t keep his diapers dry at night. He sighed happily around his binky, content to be mommy’s bedwetter and have his diapey changed every morning.
“Let’s take care of this today,” mommy said as she opened his diaper, nonchalantly taking a delicate chain from around her neck and unlocking his cock cage, the cool chain tickling his sac as she removed the cage and the attached ring. His cock had been so small and safe in its cage, but now it filled eagerly, excited for any attention from mommy.
But mommy left him, heading into the bathroom to wash his cage in the sink. He whined softly around his binky, knowing better than to touch, because mommy was supposed to take care of everything inside his diapers, including his hard pee-pee. He wiggled on the bed until she returned, listening to the hypno telling him he was a good little boy, letting mommy be in control, giving himself up to her completely, including his potty training.
When mommy returned, it was to a very flustered baby, hard and squirming on the mattress and waiting for her to give him direction. She smiled, kneeling once more on the bed next to his open diaper, admiring his erection and the flush that covered his cheeks and the top of his chest.
“Baby’s a little pent up, huh?” she asked, stroking the backs of her fingers against the underside of his erection, making him whine. “I bet you want to be a good boy and make cummies for mommy. Let mommy take care of her baby’s needs, just like always. Right, little bunny?”
James nodded, trying not to move but unable to stop himself from pushing up into mommy’s touch, whining for more. Mommy took his cock in her thumb and forefinger, like it was too tiny to hold in her hand, and began to stroke him lightly, making him let out another cry behind his binky, which he suckled harder as his body reacted to mommy’s touch.
“There you go, little one,” mommy cooed, smiling at him beatifically. “Just like you let go for your diapey training, I want you to let go for mommy. Let it all out, like you do in your diapey, okay my good boy?”
James cried out behind his binky, and his cock jumped in mommy’s fingers, letting out a pathetic little spurt onto his stomach. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to leave the baby trembling on the bed, flushed and panting from his little release. Without even realizing it was happening, his softening cock let out a spurt of pee, involuntary and brief, onto the open diaper beneath him. Mommy hummed her satisfaction, and James whined, hiding behind his octopus.
“There’s my good little bunny,” mommy cooed, cleaning him up with a baby wipe and gently putting his cage back on, re-locking it and testing the closure. “You’re such a good boy for mommy.” She applied cream and powder, taping him into a thick, well-fluffed diaper, and changing him out of his footed sleeper and into a white onesie. She picked out his work clothes and patiently got him dressed, his tan slacks barely disguising the lump of the diaper at his crotch.
“Okay! Breakfast, and then the baby’s off to work,” mommy cooed, pulling him up to sitting and gently taking his octopus to set him back in the crib, to wait for night time. James gave his sleeping friend a little wave as mommy carried him out into the living room to feed him his breakfast and give him a warm baba before sending him off.
James felt a little apprehensive on his way to work, wondering if he would be okay without his mommy today, seeing how he’d struggled without her the day before. He soothed himself on his commute by listening to his favorite hypno tracks while nursing his binky underneath a fresh medical mask. He wondered if anyone else on the train could see his mask moving while his binky bobbed in his mouth, and he looked down at a cute game on his phone to try to hide the movement.
When he got to work, he temporarily took out his binky in case he needed to say good morning to anyone, already missing the comfort of the rubber nipple on his tongue. Another thing he was dependent on, not knowing how he’d gotten through the day before he’d had it to soothe himself.
“Morning,” Emily said to him when she passed him, and he waved to her shyly, already flushing at the knowledge that he would probably need to ask for her help again today, if he needed a diaper change. And seeing how much progress he’d made in his diaper training, he definitely would.
It was a terrible task to get himself to focus on emails, and by the time lunch rolled around, he had almost nothing to show for his hours of effort. His mind kept drifting, and he wasted entire chunks of his time imagining himself at home in mommy’s arms, being woken up from a nap in his crib, getting a warm baba and relaxing in mommy’s lap while she read her book. His email inbox was still half-full when he went to pull his lunch out of the communal fridge, and he slunk back to eat at his desk so he wouldn’t have to talk to anyone.
It occurred to him as he ate to check his diaper, and he shifted in what he hoped was a subtle way on his chair, feeling the soft squish of his diaper beneath him—soggy, but not soaked. No doubt he’d been dribbling into it all morning, and he took a moment to bask in the warmth of his accomplishment. He’d learned not to hold it, just like Rossy. He was being such a good baby, and doing so well in his diaper training. He picked up his phone to text mommy, telling her he hadn’t held it all day.
“Mommy is so proud of you,” she texted back, with a long line of hug emojis and hearts. “You’re such a good baby for me, my little Jamesy. Do you need a diapey change, my love?”
“No mommy. I think I can go a bit longer.”
“Okay little bunny. Don’t be afraid to ask Miss Emily for help with your change when you need it. Mommy loves you so much!!”
“I love mommy so much,” he texted back, filling the box with his own hearts and little baba emojis, his favorite.
Encouraged by her pride in him, and knowing that he had to do a good job for her so she would call him a good boy when he got home, he went back to his work with a greater focus. Deciding to indulge in the interest of productivity, he put a hypno track on his headphones, and surreptitiously slipped his binky back into his mouth behind his mask, blocking out the rest of the office to focus on his work.
Before long, he’d successfully tackled his inbox, and was getting around to a few projects he’d been working on. He started to feel a cramp, but he ignored it, telling himself the gas would make its way out, and that he could wait to check his diapey until this next task was complete. He was so deep into his task that he didn’t notice the cramp getting worse, until it was sitting in his pelvis, making him wriggle in his chair, looking for relief.
Good boys don’t think, his hypno always said. They just push.
So he did.
He leaned forward against the edge of his desk, his eyes unfocusing from his screen slightly as he pushed, a soft grunt coming from behind his binky. Only when he looked back at his screen, still pushing, did he realize what he was doing.
In a panic, he flew from his desk chair, his headphones clattering onto his keyboard, and he ran to the bathroom, colliding with the swinging door and going straight for the handicap stall. He didn’t even have time to close the stall door behind him, though, because his poopy was coming whether he was ready or not, and he huddled into the corner of the stall to crouch down into his instinctive position, soft little noises of effort coming from his pacified mouth as he pushed, just like a good boy.
When he was done, he could feel how heavy his diapey was, and the way his mess was tenting the back, putting a strain even on his slacks. He suckled harder on his binky as he tried to think of what to do, only knowing he hated being in a poopy diapey, and he needed changies.
With a cold rush of dread, he realized he’d left his desk so fast that he hadn’t grabbed his backpack, which held all of his extra diapies and changing supplies. He couldn’t go back out, knowing the poopy lump in his diaper seat was way too obvious, and he felt himself wanting to cry, his chest tightening with the now-familiar feeling.
When he went for his phone to text his mommy, he realized he’d left that too, and he suddenly let go of his control, releasing his fear and neediness into little cries, barely even trying to muffle them.
Eventually the familiar click of heels could be heard entering the bathroom, and Emily poked her head into the open stall, her face creasing with concern at the sight of him. “James?” she asked, tip toeing into the stall and bending over to be closer to his height.
“Do you need to change your diaper?” she asked, so gently, and of course the answer was yes, but he was messy, and he hated being messy, and he was scared, and he just wanted—
“Wan’ my mommy,” he mewled, wiping his eyes with a clumsy fist.
“Your mommy?” Emily asked gently. “Do you want to call her?”
“No phone,” James hiccuped, sobbing around the nipple of his binky. “Wan’ my mommy…”
“Oh,” Emily said. “Let me just get your phone, and we can call her!” She clicked back out of the bathroom, and James cried to himself in her absence, feeling so small and helpless and wanting to be in his mommy’s arms more than anything in the world.
“Yes, he’s fine,” he heard someone say, and then Emily was there again, already talking to someone on James’ phone. He must have left his text to mommy open to gaze at her encouraging words, and Emily had simply pressed the call button.
“No,” Emily said, “nothing like that! Usually when he comes into the bathroom he just needs a diaper change. But he seems very upset, and he’s asking for you.”
After another moment, Emily held the phone out to James, a soft smile on her face. “It’s your mommy, sweetheart,” she said, and James took the phone eagerly, pressing it to his ear.
“Momma?” he asked, his voice soft and wet and pathetic from crying.
“I’m on my way, baby,” mommy said, the sounds of her car clearly audible over the line as she backed out of his apartment’s parking lot. “I’m only fifteen minutes away. Do you think you can hang on until mommy gets there?”
“Mm-hmm,” James agreed reluctantly, wishing mommy could get here faster. His poopy diaper was uncomfortable, and his legs were starting to hurt from crouching, but he didn’t want to sit and make the mess worse.
“Do you think you can let Miss Emily change your diapey, my love?”
“N-no, mommy,” he whined, feeling too little and vulnerable to tell Miss Emily that he had gone poopy. He only wanted his mommy to change his poopy diapies, and he was too scared to be a brave boy and ask someone else for help.
“That’s okay, little bunny,” mommy soothed, her voice as calm and reassuring as ever. “You just stay right there and be a good boy, and mommy will be there before you know it. Okay?”
“‘Kay,” he mumbled, his binky making him slur his words. “Hurry, mommy,” he added.
“I’m on my way, lovey,” she assured.
He let her hang up to focus on driving after a few more words of comfort and encouragement, and he clutched his phone once the line disconnected, the tears welling up in him again and making his chest tight.
“A little better?” Miss Emily said, and James nodded, though it was only a tiny bit true. His legs were getting tingly now from being in his pooping position for too long, but he didn’t know what to do to fix it, so he just let himself cry.
“Why don’t we sit on the toilet while we wait,” Miss Emily said, closing the toilet lid and patting it gently. She held out a hand to help him up, and he only stared at it for a moment, not wanting to sit in his messy diapey, but also not wanting his legs to fall asleep. Eventually he gave in, taking Miss Emily’s hand and letting her get him up, whining at the discomfort in his legs and in his seat as he finally sat on the closed toilet, feeling his mess spreading as it was mushed against his bum. Miss Emily didn’t hush his complaints, only rubbing his back comfortingly and keeping him company while he waited.
“Is there anything you need while we wait?” she asked, and James sniffled, suckling loudly on his binky as he tried to gather thoughts out of the foggy mess of his mind.
“Ba'pack,” he finally said, and Miss Emily looked around, before smiling. “Of course. You’re going to need your supplies! Let me grab it and I’ll be right back.”
He didn’t like being alone while Miss Emily was gone, but it was a relief when she returned with his backpack, and he hugged it to his chest, wishing it was his octopus sleepy-time friend with his soft fur.
“Your mommy’s almost here,” Miss Emily soothed, returning to rubbing his back, and he let himself be relaxed by the familiar motion as the time slipped by.
“Oh,” Miss Emily said suddenly, after what felt like an eternity. “Let me go let your mommy into the building. Stay right here, okay? I’ll be right back.”
She slipped out, closing the stall door behind her, even though she couldn’t latch it. James sniffled to himself in the silence for yet another eternity, before the door opened and soft female voices came in.
Mommy’s here, his body realized, as he heard her voice echoing off the bathroom tiles. Mommy will take care of the baby. Everything will be okay. Baby is safe now.
The stall door swung open, and mommy appeared, her face lined with worry. Ignoring the discomfort in his diapey, James stood, and flung himself into his mommy’s arms, letting out a soft, babyish cry of relief.
“Momma,” he sobbed, clinging to her coat, needing her to comfort away all of the bad feelings in his diapey and his chest and his mind.
“I’ll go wait outside, make sure no one bothers you,” Miss Emily said, and the two women murmured back and forth for just a moment before Miss Emily was leaving, and mommy was picking Jamesy up into her arms, cradling him against her chest.
“My poor little bunny,” mommy cooed, rubbing his back and kissing his cheeks as he burrowed against her. “Are you okay, my brave little boy? Tell mommy what happened.”
“Poopy diapey, mommy,” he whined helplessly, nuzzling into her neck to hide away in her comforting smell.
“Aww, my love,” mommy said, kissing his cheeks some more. “You went poopy, little one? Is that all?”
“Scawed me, mommy,” he admitted, clinging to her. “Went… wiffout my bag…”
“You forgot your diapey bag, love?” she asked, and he nodded, making her coo.
“You could have had Miss Emily change your diapey, little bunny,” she said gently. “She’s helped before, you know you can ask her.”
“Scawed,” James said again, slurred around his binky.
“Were you scared because you went poopy at work, my love?” she asked, gently probing.
“Scawed wiffout mommy,” James explained, his chest filling with emotion again, a choked sob escaping him. “Don’ wan’ be… wiffout mommy. Need my mommy...”
“Aww,” mommy said, her voice wavering with emotion. “Sweetheart… my little angel. My perfect boy. You need your mommy, huh? Is it hard to be at work without your mommy?”
James nodded hard, clinging to her, hoping to convey that she’d found the problem, that he needed her to fix it because he was too little to fix it himself.
“Mommy’s so sorry, little one,” she murmured, bouncing him gently and kissing him again. “I didn’t know you were having such a hard time. Mommy should have known, after yesterday. You’re such a good boy for telling mommy what’s wrong.”
James whined and cried against mommy, feeling safe enough in her arms to let it all out, to let the fuzziness take over and know that mommy would take care of everything.
“Okay,” mommy said. “Mommy’s going to fix it, my little bunny. Mommy will make everything okay. But let’s get this poopy diapey changed first, hm? I know mommy’s baby boy hates being poopy…”
“Mommy,” he said, the only word he could muster for how badly he needed everything she was offering.
Mommy pulled down the Koala Kare bench, spreading out his changing mat and letting him slide out of her arms so he could lay down for his change. He was weepy and needy and clutched his backpack like a comfort object, even as mommy rifled through it for a clean diapey, powder, and wipes.
“Let’s get my sweet little boy all fixed up,” mommy cooed, pulling down his slacks and unsnapping his onesie. James whined quietly at the gross feeling on his bum, and mommy shushed him soothingly, stroking his hair.
“Don’t worry, my love,” she said. “Mommy will fix it. You’re being such a brave boy for me, mommy’s so proud of you.”
Mommy pulled open his soaked, messy diapey, and James gave himself up to her care, letting her move his legs to wipe him clean, and replace his full diapey with a nice, fluffed, clean one, with extra stuffers to keep him nice and dry. When she pulled the dry diaper up and secured the tapes, James cooed, happy to be a clean baby, safe in his dry diapey.
“There’s my happy boy,” mommy cooed, leaning over to kiss his forehead. “You’ve been such a good boy with your diaper training, too,” she added, smiling at him knowingly. “Mommy thinks you went poopy today without realizing it, and that’s why you rushed into the bathroom. Just like when you hide behind the couch so mommy won’t watch you do your pushies, right?”
James flushed deeply, squirming as mommy chuckled at him, pulling his slacks back up over his diaper bulge.
“That’s what I thought,” mommy said teasingly. “My little baby did such a good job, he’s finally diaper trained. Aren’t you, my little baby boy?”
Mommy was right. He was a little baby boy, and one who was finally diaper trained, who’d given up all his continence and trusted his mommy to take care of him. She’d never let him down, always changing and feeding and comforting him, and these last couple of days had proven that he could trust her completely, and she would keep him utterly safe and protected, letting him be his littlest, neediest, most helpless self in her care.
“Yes, mommy,” he said around his binky, his eyes going half-lidded as he relaxed, finally content in the knowledge that mommy was here, and she wouldn’t let him be scared or alone in a full diapey ever again.
“That’s my boy,” she said, lifting him off the Koala Kare station and straightening his clothes. She stowed the changing supplies in the backpack he still clutched, before kissing his forehead, and then his nose, and then pulling down his mask to kiss the button of his binky.
“I think mommy needs to get her little baby home, get him out of his big boy clothes, and let him have a nice baba and a nap. How does that sound, little one?”
He utterly melted, feeling like she’d read his mind, and nearly tearing up again with how badly he wanted all of that. Mommy took him out of the stall, threw away his dirty diaper and washed her hands, before leading him out of the bathroom, where Miss Emily still waited.
“James,” mommy murmured. “Thank Miss Emily for giving you so much help today.”
“T’ank you, Miss Emiwy,” James said, flushing at how slurred his words were around the nipple of his binky.
“You’re so welcome,” Miss Emily said, her face warm with a genuine smile. “I’m glad I could help even a little.”
“It’s been such a comfort knowing you’re here if he needs you,” mommy said, and slipped a card into Miss Emily’s hands, with Miss Emily’s name drawn on the front of the envelope in mommy’s nice handwriting. “I think he’ll be starting his leave today, but I’ll let you know if I need anything.”
“Of course,” Miss Emily said. “Please don’t hesitate to email. We’ll get everything squared away.”
“You’re an angel,” mommy said, and the two women clasped hands for a moment. “Let’s head home, okay sweetheart?” mommy asked James, and he nodded, curling into mommy’s side, already wishing he was back in her arms and being carried.
“Talk to you later,” mommy said to Miss Emily. “Say bye, love.”
James waved goodbye, and Miss Emily waved back, as he and mommy got into the elevator.
“Weave, mommy?” James asked, cooing as mommy’s arm came around him and pulled him close to her.
“That’s right,” she said gently. “It’s clearly too hard for you to be at work without mommy, so we’re going to put you on a little leave while we figure out an alternative. How does that sound, my little bunny?”
“Good, mommy,” he said, trying not to bounce with the pure excitement and elation pouring into him.
“And mommy thinks we should talk about moving you to mommy’s house, instead of your apartment,” she said. “You’d have your own crib, and a nursery, with lots of baby toys.”
“Mommy house?” he said, hardly believing his ears.
Mommy smiled at him. “At least while you’re on leave,” she said. “We’ll give it a try, a couple weeks at mommy’s house, and then we’ll see how we feel after. How about that?”
James nodded eagerly, hugging his mommy around the waist and letting out a babyish whine of happiness. The elevator let them out into the parking garage, and mommy led them to her car, opening the passenger door for him to climb in and be buckled and settled in by mommy.
“I want you to be as happy as you can be, my little baby,” mommy said, her hand on his leg and a genuine look of love on her face. “Whether that’s at work, at home, with or without mommy. I’ll do whatever I can to make you feel safe. Mommy promises.”
“‘Kay mommy,” James sighed, floating on a cloud of happiness, his body lax and pliable with the onslaught of relief and relaxation.
Mommy closed the car door and climbed into the driver’s seat, immediately reaching over the console for his hand.
“Where’s my little baby?” mommy called, and James eagerly bounced up from the rug where he’d been playing and ran to the front door, eager to greet his mommy. He felt his pee pee dribble into his diapey with his excitement, like a puppy too eager to greet its master. But he was just a little baby, so it was to be expected.
“Momma,” he cried, and mommy laughed as she hugged him, kissing his cheeks and forehead and binky.
“There’s my little baby,” she said, smiling at him. “Were you a good boy while mommy was shopping?”
“Yes, mommy,” he said, picking up one of the bags full of groceries and waddling into the kitchen with it, eager to be a good and helpful baby.
She set him to the task of putting away the snacks, which were in a special drawer that he could open when mommy gave him permission. He was happily arranging the bags of chips and cookies and other treats mommy let him have when he was good, when he felt the slightest twinge in his tummy. He didn’t hesitate to crouch in front of the snack drawer, making soft little grunts and huffs behind his binky as he pushed, feeling his diapey tent out behind him as he went poopy.
When he was done, a rush of pee pee flowed out without him even realizing he’d had to pee, and he stared down at his diapey in satisfaction, ignoring the slight discomfort of his poopy bum in favor of admiring what a good baby he was.
“Mommy,” he whined, coming over to squat by her side and hug her leg, while she put the last of the perishables in the fridge.
“What is it, my little baby?” she cooed, clearly amused by his babyish neediness.
“Poopy diapey,” he whined, rubbing his face against her thigh. “Changies, momma.”
“My little baby went poopy in his diapey?” she asked, and he nodded, knowing she liked to repeat it back to him to embarrass him and force him to clarify.
“Poopy, mommy,” he agreed, huffing behind his binky.
She took pity on him, crouching down to lift him and heft him, with some effort, onto her hip, cradling him against her chest. “What a perfect little baby I have,” she praised, kissing his cheeks until he squealed. “So well diapey-trained. Mommy is so proud of her little boy for using his diapies.”
“Mommy,” he cooed, squirming under the praise.
“Is it time for a diapey change?” mommy asked, already carrying him toward the nursery and his full-sized changing table. “Or should mommy wait a little bit?”
“Noooo,” he whined, kicking his legs. “Changies, mommy.”
“That’s what I thought,” mommy chuckled. “Let’s go change this good little baby, get him all nice and clean.”
James snuggled into her, reluctant to let go when they got to the nursery but finally relenting to lay back on his changing table, surrounded by all the babyish decorations and pastel colors of his deepest, most babyish fantasies. He grabbed his changing buddy, a small bear that he could hug while mommy changed him, and mommy went about taking a clean diapey from the tall stack in the nearby closet, one of many diapies that Jamesy had now that he lived with mommy.
“Mommy is so proud of you,” mommy said again, as she opened his diapey, knowing that his poopy diapies made him more self-conscious and squirmy.
Jamesy squeezed his changing buddy and smiled, suckling his binky happily while mommy changed him. He was so glad he would be safe with her forever, cared for and loved and little.
