Chapter Text

It's Monday.

It's. Monday.

It's Monday!

Why does the time fly away this fast when you don't want it?!

Sure, Bill has successfully implemented his daily bases to Dipper but this idiot is stupidly not good at acting! Even though they come to prepare this all the weekend! Such a waste of time!

Bill is almost grateful at Shooting Star for being with them because he can't guarantee the safety of her brother. He had felt like Dipper did on purpose to act like an idiot and that pisses him off.

But now it's time for Dipper to prove that he can live his life. And honestly, Bill thinks he can't. It's obvious that the other teen is too honest and gentle to be a popular person.

“Come on Bill! My brother is very capable to do it!” Mabel tries to persuade him.

“No. He can't.”

“And why?” Ask a really annoyed Mabel. The pessimist of Bill starts to get on her nerves.

“Because he’s too him. He's too gentle and because of that he gonna be used. He gonna blow up all our efforts.”

“Pfff...as if! But what do you mean that he gonna be used?” That part worries her the most.

Bill looks at her as if she misses some neurons. “What do you think? That the popular guys are popular naturally? Don't be stupid Shooting Star. It's the law “don't give and take”. That why you aren't one. You're too kind which makes you a perfect tool too.”

“You saying nonsense…” she said but it’s more like she trying to convince herself. Besides, it’s too early to speak such a depressing thing. I mean, it’s morning! Mabel doesn’t want to bother such a thing right now.
Seeing that there nothing more to discuss Bill roll his eyes and follow her into the kitchen. Mabel has informed her Grunkle what happened which it’s explained why Stan is more grumpy than usual. But he can’t beat the bad mood of Bill.

Bill doesn’t sleep well. In fact, since he’s in this body he has some difficulty to sleep or even do core. Something, the body doesn’t respond at all. Like this time when Bill wanted to drink his glass of soda, the arm doesn’t move. He was fixing his glass for at last 2 whole minutes before the body starts to obey once again. He doesn’t know what sort of thing happens, it almost feels like he’s no longer in the body, like he separated from it. Able to see with but not to control.

Quite irritating if you ask him.

Luckily(?), when that happens he’s alone but it’s worried him. After school, he gonna see that old black bag of a witch and demand some explanation.

After some intense and bad vibes breakfast, Mabel drives them to the college.

The first thing he does was reaching his body but bad luck, can’t see it with this “giant” sea of students.
Bill has always thought that Dipper was cute because of his small size before. I mean, Dipper looks like a small rabbit in a forest of wolves which was high school. Bill wants to protect him but doesn’t understand why he does feel the need. That why he’s doing the contrary by bullying him. He hoped that the need to protect the cute small nerd will wash away by making this but no. It’s still here…
Which, let's say it, annoys Bill at the most point.

It’s always like that: when it’s come to Pine Tree he doesn’t know what to do.

But now that he’s in Dipper body he can see the flaw of being so little. Everything seems to be out of search. He feels weak. He feels insignificant. He feels like he’s an easy prey. He feels too small to be noticed as some beings. Now Bill understands.
Being small sucks!
He shoves those cursed glasses up again for only to put them in place again some minutes later.
Bill grumbles again.
He turns around to Mabel to only see her with her group of friends, leaving Bill deal his problem himself.
He huffed in irritation.
‘Hah! Pine Tree got a wonderful sister I see!’ Mumbles Bill under his breath as he made his way to Dipper’s locker to be comforted by another problem: he doesn’t know what was Pine Tree code.

He groaned.

All of this is just so stupid! If only that stupid magical bug doesn’t exist he won’t be here in this body! If only Pine Tree don’t go to this stupid party he won’t be in this situation! If only Pine Tree was normal like every stupid and boring people with that grey world he won’t even notice him!

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! STUPID! THIS IS SO STUPID-

He takes some hasty breaths. Bill seriously needs to calm down. It’s been a long time since he has to deals with the emotions and he was submerged by them way too easily… Maybe because he’s in Pine Tree body? Who knows?

He closes the eyes and breathes in then breathe out. He repeated the procedure multiple time until he calms down fully. There! Now Bill only has to focus on his role as Dipper Pines until the school is over. Easy as pie-

BAM!

The sound of his head hit the locker resounded in the hallway.

“Yo Dipshit! You have to come today too!” Exclaims a stupid nose-pinched voice of Trevor, an American Football that Bill picks to manhandle Pine Tree. And today too, he did a good job to ruin his victim day despite the fact that he actually bullying his boss… not that’s it in his honor! How did he suppose to know that his boss swap body?

Anyway, the efforts that Bill got to calm down was ruined by Trevor. He stays a moment with the face on the locker to get in orders to not just snapped at this poor soul. As he tries to turn around, Trevor grab him by the collar T-shirt, letting up to his face as spit some much harsh words.
But Bill doesn’t try to fight back. After all, he has a role to keep…
He also doesn’t try to ask help to the others as they certainly keep minded their business and if not, probably taking pics or videos of the scene. Those useless meatsacks.

However! Trevor is like a clock: he finally releases his prey before the ringing rings but not before giving a punch to the belly.

Although Bill except the pain to be more intense it was okay. Looks like Pine tree body is now used to this kind of treatment… somewhat.

But Bill is certain of one thing: class wasn’t any better. Despite that, there a test, people would find paper to throw at him and the teacher totally ignored what happens in their class, not wanting to mess with the director’s kid. After all, Bill as said of Dipper Pines, this kid future is already screwed up. There no helps.

Bill really does have done a magnificent work if he had to say. Too bad that he had to experience this.

He thought that Pine Tree will screw up his work and carrier but when Bill sees him surrounded by his usual groupies, he understands that Dipper takes his role better than he does which, heh, piss him off.

Then comes more bullying. Shooting Star wasn’t here to witness all this because once again, Bill does his job too well. Then comes more class. More people how to ignore his own existence. That was weird; one day you’re the center of attention and the next day you’re like dust. That’s really weird…

When the day was finally over, the first thing Bill does when he comes back to the Shack was to patch up his wounds. They’re...don’t really painful. Of course, he can feel the throbbing as blood is pumping in the damaged area but besides that, there’s nothing to say.

At one moment Mabel comes to takes his new of his day which he simply grunts. She took an offended face and say something about being unpleasant when someone is concerned about his well being.
That makes him smile. As if somebody will really worry about him, personally. Shooting Star sure has a lot of humor.

Souper passed in the familiar silence although it seems that the Pines looks nervous. Although Bill doesn’t understand why since when he ate with his mother, he’s actually kind grateful to have this silence since she won’t ask about school.

After this strange meal. Bill goes directly to bed, saying that he was way too tired to do anything else. Which doesn't bother the Pines at all. They want to help Dipper but only between them. Without Bill.

But the truth is Bill waited that every one of the Shack goes home or fall asleep so he can go see the witch and finally got any way to get his life back. Even if it though curses.

It was really late when he was sure that everyone has gone to sleep as the silent is present, he gets up and dresses quickly, all in black, and take a flashlight.

He remembers well the way up to the old sorceress so really, what's possibly go wrong?

The answer is the fact that this is the Gravity Falls forest that we speak about. And everybody knows that it’s a really bad idea to navigate through a forest at night, well mostly thank the video games.

In no time, Bill was utterly lost.

“Dammit…” He whispered under his breath. The built up of his frustration is more than palpable and need a loophole to let out some steam. And it was directed to the one Bill always blame: Dipper Pines.

Everything was truly his fault.

If only this guy was gray just like everybody else. If only he stops make Bill feel all weird. If only he was more well built Bill wouldn't want to protect bully him this much.

If only…

This damn…

Adorkable-

His inner-monologue was cut short as his ear focus on his surroundings.

The forest was oddly quiet.

Until he hears silent heavy footsteps.

He turns off the flashlight as his instinct commands. At first, he wanted to call out to the other person but this body says the contrary. The inside twisted, the palms start to enormously sweat as the legs tenses up so they are ready to run at sight. The body alarmed Bill there is a danger. Like their life are in the line. The body knows what kind of danger but Bill was deeply confused by it.

Bill has a perfect knowledge of the wild animals that the forest keeps in and how to defend himself for them but he felt like the body are trying to say it something else.

Bill was still trying to decrypt the messages that the body sends to him when a dark silhouette emerges behind the trees.

At first, he thought that was a bear from the sounds that it made but he quickly realized that… “thing” is way too big, even if it was a grizzly and way, way, way too misshapen. Too many limbs. It also had too many eyes as proven the rare light reflected on them. And Bill becomes terrified as he sees multiple mouths with sharp teeth as many voices speak up:

“Dipper? Is that you?”

But the human was already gone in a wild run.
