Chapter Text
They entered Meliodas’ large chamber. He took a long, deep breath and faced Zeldris who seemed agitated.
“You do realise that what you did was unnecessary?” He pointed out, facing a large wooden cabinet. “I’m not defending them, for what they did was completely stupid.”
There was a small moment of silence. Meliodas sat on the rim of one of his windows, lowering his head so he could see the floor. This queued Zeldris that he was not going to respond.
“Ever since you got Gelda back…” he changed the topic, making Zeldris gulp. “You have tried to defy me.”
“I’ve always been this way,” Zeldris corrected, crossing his arms. “I simply listened to you so I could see her again. You used me.”
“Yet I brought you who you love.”
“Yet you used me. I already have forgiven you about the first holy war drama. You know how I thought of you. Now look at me… having a discussion with the one who I admired for a while and then hated.” He gave a cold laugh, but Meliodas did not show any sign of pleasure. Zeldris looked away from Meliodas, staring at a painting that stood up high. It was a young man who was once the human King of the Kingdom that they currently inhabited.
“Just tell them that I apologize and go.”
Zeldris quietly groaned, but did not defy Meliodas’ words, walking up to the door and closing it shut.

After he did as he was told, he concluded to heading quickly to his chambers were Gelda was waiting for him, sitting on a small wooden chair, staring out at the window. The sunlight was not hitting her.
“Welcome back,” she said, quickly waving at her lover and placing her hands on legs. Her hair was messier than usual, not braided for once.
Zeldris could feel his cheeks slightly burn as he stared at Gelda who smiled at him, revealing her small fangs. He sat down in front of her, slowly placing his hands on the small table that laid in between them.
“How was your day?” She asked, holding Zeldris’s hands. He stared at her violet eyes.
