The pile of books on the table had gradually grown as the day passed him by. University had turned out to be a bigger pain in the ass that he could have ever dreamed of… maybe he was better off staying a fisherman like his dad had been. Bruno groaned, highlighting a section of the book that he had read over ten times. It must be relevant, right?
“How about you take a break?” Leone’s voice called out from somewhere behind him.
Bruno shook his head. “I can’t… I have two tests tomorrow, plus that stupid presentation that keeps changing dates might be tomorrow too.”
Leone sighed, walking over to him with two cups of coffee. “Take a break. Your brain won’t work properly unless you give it some time to breathe.”
“Maybe… you’re right…” he muttered out, closing the book and looking up at his roommate. He took the cup from his hands, taking a sip with a small smile on his lips. “Thank you, Leone. I don’t know where I’d be without you.”
Leone huffed, though his cheeks were slighlty tinted pink at his words, as he took a sip from his cup. “You’d be doing just fine.”
