"No," deep seated brown eyes rolled, they were once fawn, with sprinkles of autumn around her pupils. But the lingering coils of black magick seeped into Esther's body with paler skin, darker eyes that slowly turned black like a porcelain doll, beady and glass-like. Her veins were blinking against abnormally pale skin, purple and red instead of a normal human-blue.
Abaddon noticed, as a demon is one to do. It would take time before the other humans noticed — Katherine, the negligent mother she was especially — Esther's slow corruption, how her soul, while still so young, would slowly become corrupted and never be the same, Esther would always follow the siren call of darkness. Even if parts of who she was now as her child-self remained.
When the time came and Esther passed, Abaddon thought she would be a fine demon in the birthing flames of hell.
