So this is a little one shot, meant to be slotted between chapters 21 and 22 of my main Grey x Gauche fic, as a little bonus chapter. This can be read by itself, if you have not read that one.
For context, the day begins after they just had their first kiss the night before. It's awkward but steamy. Grey is trying to figure it all out. Gauche kind of has it figured out, but he's a mess, as usual.
He's in the stages of realizing he has actual feelings for her, and it's more than just some random fixation. Grey is...kind of aware of her feelings, but not really. All she is aware of at this point is that she finds comfort in him, she likes being around him, and she trusts him. But romance is a word that neither of them even understand at this point.
They are ridiculous and sweet. Barely able to behave like humans, but trying.

A 19 year old Yami adopted 7 year olds Asta and Yuno, and William helps take care of them. Charlotte is getting to know and figuring out how to take care of her 10 year old half-brother Luck. A 16 year old Zora works for Julius as a magic knight working in the shadows. A 15 year old Vanessa was taken in by Dorothy after getting her grimoire and escaping her cage. A 15 year old Grey is trying to deal with the loss of her father. A 13 year old Gauche is helping his father and mother set everything up for the arrival of his new sister Marie. A 12 year old Finral is forced to change his last name from Vaude to Roulacase by his stepmother and is currently being pushed out of the position of heir to house Vaude by her. All of them end up at a party hosted by the new Wizard King Julius at the Wizard King’s castle, where 11 year old Charmy, 10 year old Magna and a 17 year old Gordon work. The same party where a 17 year old Henry is being abandoned by his parents for good. And a 7 year Noelle and 20 year old Nacht are being dragged to by their siblings. All being watched over by a single anti-magic bird named Secre, who seems to act as though she knows them already.
What chaos will ensue from meeting this early??

Clarissa Moriston has never watched Black Clover. She’s never watched any anime, really. It’s not that she has anything against anime, she just has a long enough watchlist already that she’s just never gotten around to it. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t know about Black Clover, though. Clarissa’s best friend, Josie, knows every second of the show and every page of the manga by heart and has ranted about it at length many times.
On what should have been a normal trip to Europe, Clarissa and Josie find their way to a castle which looks almost exactly like one of the grimoire towers from Black Clover. In fact, the only reason they’re there at all is because Josie says it’s the one they based that grimoire tower off of— not that Clarissa really knows what that means. While inside, Clarissa picks up an old book with a clover on the front and almost immediately passes out.
When she opens her eyes, the tower and Josie are gone, but the book is still in her hand. It only takes a few moments for Clarissa to realize what’s happened. She’s somehow in Black Clover. Now she must rely only on what Josie has told her to try and survive in this brave new world until she can find a way home. If she even wants to go home…
