Chapter Text

Even as he got tucked into bed, part of Izuku couldn’t sleep. He remembered that nightmare from the night before and felt scared that the mean purple Pokemon would go after him again. So when his daddy left his room after making sure Izuku was asleep, he carefully got out of bed and quietly moved to follow his daddy who also made sure Mommy was also asleep.

Curious, Izuku followed his daddy down the hall and stairs until he saw the friendly man with bright blue hair that made him think of clouds standing there. Though he seemed to have the same serious and stern face from when they first met, maybe it’s because he’s working right now and not watching over Izuku?

“Kurogiri, is Alakazam ready to bring us to Cinnabar?” His daddy asked.

“He is,” Shira- No. Kurogiri is his work name. Kurogiri said, motioning for his Alakazam to come forward and prepare a Teleport. “Will you only be checking on the Doctor or will you also wish to check on Tomura’s progress?” He asked.

Tomura? Who is that?

“Just the Doctor for tonight, I’ll check on Tomura at a later time.”

Kurogiri gave a bow. “Of course, and what of your family?” he asked.

“They’re fast asleep, I will be back long before they wake up.”

Izuku could see Kurogiri look into his direction with bright yellow eyes, but Izuku quickly hid and shook his head. He even gave a pleading look towards the man until he saw his eyes go blue and he gave a smile before standing up straight and pretending Izuku wasn’t even there.

“Of course, shall we go now?”

Izuku moved a little closer, smiling wide as he was pulled into the Teleport with the other two. He tried not to gasp with amazement at the unfamiliar surroundings, especially since he was never allowed to see all the stuff his daddy works on outside of Gym Battles.

Sure he loved watching the battles, even going as far as to cheer his daddy on, but he also wanted to know what else his daddy worked on. So he quietly slipped through a door, seeing that Kurogiri had sent one of his two Ghastly’s out to follow Izuku. This one having blue smoke instead of purple as it gave a far friendlier and more playful air to it.

Holding back his laughter of excitement, Izuku ran down the stairs and past all kinds of locked doors. Some were open and allowed him to see people wearing lab coats looking over various rocks and bones, some checking on Pokemon like doctors would look over Izuku.

Still, he kept moving. Going down all the stairs and through strangely empty hallways until he came to the bottom with a hallway that led to a single metal door. Something told him he really needed to go see what was beyond that door, and who was he to not listen to his own curiosity? Daddy always said it was good to be curious, it allowed for him to learn so many things and make a lot of discoveries!

-

“It appears your brother’s DNA works wonders as a stabilizing agent for the clones, Mewtwo being perhaps the most powerful of such! I suspect that we could easily use the Mew fossil we found and your brother’s DNA plus the DNA of an Audino with the Regenerator Ability to perfect Project Revival!”

All for One could only grin at what his old friend was saying. With how well things were progressing he knew his goal would be achieved, though he also knew there would be at least one glaring issue. “And what do you have for memories? If we want this to work how I want it to, then it’s best if we remove anything that relates to my organization.”

“Naturally I have been working on that as well, it seems Dream Eater could be a key to that process though further experiments will need to be done before I can say it’s fully effective,” His doctor continued, walking towards a stack of documents. Right as he pulled one out, the lights suddenly flashed a bright red as an alarm went off.

All for One grit his teeth, turning towards his doctor and narrowing his eyes. “Did someone break in?”

His doctor sweated, turning towards a bunch of monitors and checking the feed before putting the camera focused on the room that held Mewtwo’s tank. So far it seemed nothing was out of the ordinary until he saw three figures that weren’t supposed to be in that room.

First was a man wearing a Spritzee mask. He approached the tank while holding a syringe.
Next was a blue Ghastly, one that he knew belonged to Kurogiri.
Finally, staring horrified from behind the Ghastly was…

“Why is Izuku here!?” All for One shouted, immediately turning to where Kurogiri stood completely still and avoided eye-contact with blue eyes.

Blue.

Not yellow.

All for One slowly stalked towards the young man, looking down at him as he saw the fear start to grow more and more obvious until he grabbed at his throat. “Shirakumo. Why did you bring my son here?” He asked, voice going into very dangerous territory.

Shirakumo gulped. “I- I saw him before we left and it seemed like he couldn’t sleep, I sent Ghastly out to keep him safe and normally all the more dangerous and traumatizing stuff here remains behind locked doors that he wouldn’t be able to get into,” he quickly explained.

“And yet, he somehow found his way to Mewtwo’s chamber. The very same Pokemon that seems to have somehow made a psychic link with Izuku and has nothing but murderous intentions towards my son,” All for One explained, voice going slow as he relished in the look of genuine horror in Shirakumo’s eyes. “So if he dies then you will take the sole blame for all of this.”

His doctor suddenly gasped at that. “No wonder Mewtwo’s brain waves were getting more active all of a sudden! A psychic link is a phenomenal and incredibly rare thing to happen, only the most powerful of psychic types are able to create such a link! I wish to study this and see if-”

All for One immediately turned his glare onto the Doctor. “No.”

That was all he had to say as he turned to make his way out of the room. He called out his Charizard and Hydreigon, nodding for them to be on guard as he made his way down to retrieve his son before anything bad could happen. Though the trembles surrounding him wasn’t a good sign.

-

When he came into the room, Izuku went wide eyed at how there seemed to be no one in there. He ran inside, looking at all of the bright lights with wide eyes as he grinned at how pretty they were. He wondered what each button and switch did, but he didn’t touch them because it might ruin his daddy’s hard work on whatever it was he was working on.

He looked more around the room before stopping when he saw a tank filled with a glowing green liquid. In that tank, curled up and with various wires attached to it, was the Pokemon from his dream. Izuku stared with wide terrified eyes at the Pokemon, though it appeared to be sleeping and as he stepped closer he found that it looked like it might be dreaming?

Somehow it didn’t seem nearly as scary as his dreams, especially as he brought a hand to rest against the glass- though he quickly pulled it away and dove into a hiding space when he heard footsteps tapping against the metal flooring.

He peaked out, blinking at the sight of a man wearing a labcoat like the other people working here. Though something seemed off about him, was it the black gloves instead of white? Or maybe it was the mask he wore and the way he scratched at himself?

Though his eyes soon landed on the button he was holding and a small green Pokemon that was flying right next to him, wearing some sort of weird collar as it gave a look of pure pain. It was at that moment Izuku knew this was a bad man, so he turned towards Ghastly before nodding and stepping out of hiding.

“You! Let that Pokemon go and leave!” Izuku shouted.

The man looked at him with gold eyes that sent chills down his spine. He then seemed to smile from the way his eyes read as he pulled out a syringe and moved closer to the tank holding the Pokemon from Izuku’s nightmare.

“It seems I have a chance to stop you from foiling my plans fourteen years from now,” the man said, sticking the needle into one of the tubes and pressing down until the liquid emptied into the tank. “Farewell, brat.”

The room suddenly went cold as the Pokemon in the tank opened its eyes suddenly, the tank’s glass cracking until it shattered and the liquid spilled all over the floor with the Pokemon standing and breaking the wires. It soon looked right at Izuku and Izuku swore he could feel his heart freeze at the glare he received.

Ghastly moved forward, glowing a purple color before sending a nail right in the strange Pokemon’s direction. Though it didn’t seem to flinch as it held a three fingered hand up and simply tossed Ghastly to the side- knocking it out instantly.

Izuku took a step back as it floated towards him, glaring with hatred.

It then moved its hand towards Izuku and he could feel himself lift high from the ground. He tried to kick his legs, but his body wouldn’t move. He couldn’t even scream for help as the Pokemon spoke in a deep voice.

“I will not allow for two versions of that monster to exist in this world,” it spoke, reeling an arm back to pull Izuku closer to it.

Izuku closed his eyes, waiting as he realized that his nightmare would come true. That he would never get to see his daddy’s smile again, nor taste his mommy’s cooking, be able to nap on Charizard’s belly, watch more gym battles. He wouldn’t be able to get his own Pokemon and then travel all around to be the best trainer ever.

“Mewtwo! Shadow Ball!” A voice suddenly shouted right as Izuku was slammed back towards the wall. Even still, he opened his eyes to see a Pokemon that looked similar to the one that was attacking him. Though it lacked the long tail and had what looked like a weird crown on its head.

His back slammed against the wall and his head suddenly felt fuzzy as he slid to the ground before falling forward. He tried to keep his eyes open, craning his head to look and see bright red shoes in his vision followed by the tails of a coat.

The trainer turned to him, crouching down before getting a shocked look in his green eyes. Even as Izuku looked at this trainer, his final thoughts before he fell into unconsciousness was that this trainer looked a lot like his daddy.

-

The quaking got worse the closer All for One got to Mewtwo’s chambers, but he didn’t let that stop himself as he pushed forward until he came across the door that had been blasted open. The entire lab completely trashed with a gaping hole in the wall leading outside. A figure stood in the center of the hole, the tails of his coat flapping in the wind as he watched two Pokemon in the air fighting.

All for One clenched his hand into a fist, walking over as he prepared to have his Hydreigon attack the intruder who very well could have set Mewtwo free. Maybe in an attempt to take Mewtwo for himself, not even caring that All for One’s innocent son could have gotten caught in the crossfire.

Though the figure seemed to have noticed All for One was there as he pointed towards his left. “Your son is over there, but you’re going to have to get him out of here before Mewtwo slips past my Mewtwo and destroys the building,” he said, not even looking back at All for One as he was more focused on the fight in the air.

He turned, seeing that his son was indeed laying on the floor. Unconscious and still breathing when he ran over to the child, though he could also see a lot of blood. Still he picked up his child and stood up, hoping that any injuries sustained weren't severe. He then looked towards the large hole in the wall when he remembered what the figure said about there being two Mewtwos.

That should be impossible, and yet-

As he stared to the sky, he could see the Mewtwo that he has seen countless times on his visits here of course. It was locked into battle against what looked like Mewtwo, and yet it had a completely different form. Something that exuded a power that reminded him so much of when his Charizard would Mega Evolve, same for when his wife’s Gardevoir would also Mega Evolve.

Perhaps...Mewtwo held the capability to Mega Evolve as well?

“What are you waiting for? Get out of here!” The figure shouted, quickly running through the hole in the wall before All for One could get a clear look at his face.

Even still, he looked once more to the two Mewtwos who were fighting one last time. Seeing the one he created looking right at him with hatred as it held its arms up and created a large ball of pure psychic power that lit up the entire night sky before sending it right towards the lab.

Shirakumo’s Alakazam suddenly appeared right next to All for One, grabbing him and the unconscious Ghastly before teleporting seconds before the entire lab was destroyed.

He turned towards his old friend, to the Blastoise that has been with his friend since the beginning, and then to a guilty looking Shirakumo. He could see that the normally cheerful young man looked far more subdued, his head lowered in an apologetic bow.

“Doctor,” he addressed his friend first, deciding he would save Shirakumo for later. “Give Izuku some treatment, and this might be your chance to test your theory about Dream Eater,” he said.

“My Lord?”

“I don’t want Izuku remembering anything from the lab, I especially don’t want him to remember ever seeing Mewtwo. Understand?”

His doctor nodded with understanding as he carefully took the child from All for One’s arms. “Of course, but what if he gets curious about your work again?” He asked.

“He won’t. I think it’s for the best if he and Inko lived away from Viridian City, perhaps even out of Kanto. If Izuku got caught up in this then there’s no telling if he and Inko will both get caught up in my work at a later time. This time we got lucky, but I expect my luck will run out eventually,” he said, turning towards Shirakumo next only to be greeted with yellow eyes instead of blue.

“My Lord?” Kurogiri asked.

All for One simply gave a sigh. “Be ready to go back to Tomura as soon as we’re returned home. Hopefully Inko won’t be awake until we’ve been back for a good while.”

No matter what, he refuses to allow for the monster he created to come that close to hurting Izuku again. How ironic, coming from a monster in human form.

-

Donning a new pair of bright red shoes, Izuku looked down at the box he was supposed to unpack. They had just arrived at New Bark Town, and yet he already missed Daddy’s gym. He missed going into the greenhouse where some of Daddy’s Pokemon would play with his Uncle’s. He especially loved his Uncle’s Venusaur, always telling his daddy that when he gets big he wants to have a Bulbasaur as his very first Pokemon.

“Oh Izuku, why don’t you go outside and play with the other kids? I can finish unpacking everything else,” his mommy suggested.

Nodding quietly at that, Izuku peeked out the door to see a boy with spiky blonde hair riding on top of a Typhlosion and laughing as a pudgy boy with a Noibat clapped alongside a boy who had a Tangrowth watching over him. Gulping, Izuku turned towards his mommy.

“Do you...do you think Daddy will come see us?” He asked, knowing that they aren’t too far from Viridian.

His mommy quietly shook her head. “Oh, you know how busy he gets. I’m sure he will try though,” she said, giving him an encouraging squeeze on the shoulder before gently pushing him outside.

Gulping, Izuku smiled as he walked up to the three boys and gave a shy wave. Pretty soon forgetting all about his daddy as he became enamoured with the boy riding the Typhlosion, Kacchan as he demanded Izuku call him, who held such an air of confidence that Izuku couldn’t help but admire him in a way that made him think and hope that they would always be friends.

-

“Izuku?”

“Yeah?”

Mewtwo gave a sigh, knowing what his past self had nearly done. What he almost did all that time ago, to the one that would become a great partner and friend to him.

“I’m sorry for almost killing you.”

“I don’t blame you. You were going through so much, and those feelings were amplified when that monster injected those hormones into your tank. Besides, it doesn’t change the fact that we’re friends now.”

Mewtwo blinked in shock at that before giving a smile. “You are definitely not your father. That is something I’m forever grateful for,” he said, watching as investigators examined the ruined lab that he destroyed...even if it was the him of the past, it was still him and it would always feel cathartic for some reason.

Izuku smiled as he stood and stretched before holding out a hand. “Come on, we should save Celebi from Overhaul and then head home. Hopefully we’ll be on time for Mom annihilating Dad in yet another Pokemon Battle.”

“That’s something I wouldn’t miss for the world.”

Notes:

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR READING THIS!

I enjoyed writing it immensely and even hosting DfO Week
It may be a short when before I host another one, because in May I'm going to host a Star Wars event lol

Also if anyone wanted to know a little of the last bit-
Toshinori/All Might originally had Mewtwo and would Mega Evolve him into the X Form. Though sometime after Izuku goes to Sinnoh and puts a stop to Overhaul's plan, Toshinori finally notices that Mewtwo has a link to Izuku and decides it would be for the best that Izuku and Mewtwo are together.
Izuku Mega Evolves Mewtwo into the Y Form, which is what you see here. The Izuku from the future that you see here is actually around 17/18 and a more seasoned trainer.

Also Overhaul is a bastard.

Thanks again for reading this!
