Chapter Text

It was time. The four friends peaked behind the stage curtain and saw a wave of students, teachers, parents, and civilians.

Giorno spotted his father Dio, “Oh great. How did he know about this?”

Trish laughed, “He knows everything Giorno,” then her laughing ceased immediately, “Oh shit, my dad is here too.”

Mista spotted Abbacchio and Bruno in the crowd too, “Oh, there are the love birds. Ew, holding hands of course.”

The four friends fake gagged.

Narancia looked closer and noticed right in the middle of the crowd, Sheila E and Pannacotta Fugo. Narancia just looked at them for a few seconds.

Mista broke the silence, “You found him, huh?”

Narancia shook his head, “Wow, now it all feels real.”

Everyone took hands and squeezed each other. Trish spoke up, “We got this, guys. We are going to blow everyone’s minds.”

Giorno spoke next, “Narancia, we’re here for you. Whatever you need.”

Mista followed, “Yeah man, look back whenever you need our support.”

Narancia took a deep breath, “Guys, I think I’m ready.”

They all smiled and patted Narancia’s back. Then they all dispersed and went to their assigned instruments for Love Electricity. Narancia felt good on his drums, he felt safe. He knew it wouldn’t feel the same when he went to sing, but that was okay. As Narancia took a big deep breath, a student helping out opened the curtains for them. The lights flashing up at them made it so they could see the audience less (thank God).

Narancia raised his drumsticks and counted aloud, “1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4!”

And they began with ‘Love Electricity.’ Trish’s voice sounded more powerful than ever on that stage. She was really shining. Mista looked cooler than ever with his bass, and he brought his bass down a bit more to be extra impressive. Giorno was truly shredding on the electric guitar, even though he wasn’t one for facial stage presence, his playing got people looking his way. And Narancia was the source of energy the band needed. He was loud and confident on the drums. He was just the way he always was.

Fugo was in shock. He had heard the band play before on that Saturday a few days ago, but this was different. On stage they had quite the presence. They could honestly play out to other gigs if they really wanted to. The first song ended and everyone cheered. It was a massive applause. The band members high fived and Trish went back up to the microphone.

“Hello everyone! We are Passion! Thanks for listening to us tonight. That was ‘Love Electricity’ written by myself. We have 2 more songs to play for you. We hope you have a great time at the fair tonight! Here is ‘Dreams We’ll Make’ written by Giorno Giovanna,” Trish said before they went right into their next song ‘Dreams We’ll Make.”

Giorno rolled his eyes when he heard his father yell, “That’s my boy!”

This song was a bit more on the technical and advanced side, since Giorno wrote it. But even with that said, it was still their best performance of the song to date. Giorno really shined in his guitar solos. Trish hyped the crowd up with her high notes. Mista could swear he saw some cute girls in the audience trying to get his attention. Narancia never felt better. He even stood up for some of his drum solo.

Sheila E leaned over to Fugo, “Wow, they’re really good.”

Fugo kept his eyes on the band (Narancia), but still answered, “No kidding.”

Finally, the song ended. Everyone clapped and whistled. It was going really well. And then, Narancia knew it was time. He took a deep breath and started walking towards the microphone.

Sheila E turned back to Fugo, “Oh wait. I have to tell you something before they announce this last song.”

Fugo looked at her with confusion, “Is something wrong?”

Sheila E shook her head, “No, quite the opposite. Narancia wanted me to tell you that this next song is for you.”

Fugo blushed, “F-for me? What do you mean for me?”

“Narancia wrote it for you. It’s about you. It’s about you and him. Just, just listen to the lyrics, okay?” Sheila E sounded serious.

Fugo was truly confused and embarrassed, but he got ready for whatever was about to happen.

Narancia was at the microphone. He took a deep breath. The audience was silent. He finally spoke, “This is our last song for the night. It’s called ‘Like or Like Like.’ It was written by me. I hope you like it.” When he said those last words, he made eye contact with Fugo. Both of the boys had obvious blush on their faces.

The band members got ready. Narancia turned around to look at each of his friends individually. They all shared a smile and Narancia mouthed, ‘I’m ready.’

Narancia turned towards the front and Trish started with the drum part. Giorno came in with the guitar.

Narancia started singing, “I watched you through your window. I was wearing that dumb sweatshirt. I looked like a goon, I was dressed for winter, even though it was the middle of June.”

Mista came in with his bass part during Narancia’s first part of the chorus. Narancia was feeling pretty good. He didn’t have any voice cracks yet. He continued, “I watched you get undressed. I must have turned bright red, ‘cause I couldn't stand to face you. ‘Cause I liked what I saw and maybe we should just be friends.”

Fugo cringed, “When did that happen?” Sheila E laughed.

Narancia was at the first chorus now, “Tell me how you feel about me. Do you like or like, like me? Tell me what you really feel. Do you like me? Just say you do,”

At this point Fugo was blushing a lot. Sheila E looked at him with a sly grin, “You get it now Panna?” Fugo shook his head. He completely understood.

Narancia sang the second verse, “I climbed up your front porch, and I doorbell ditched you, and I felt so bad. Couldn't cope to what I did, so I laughed myself sick all the way to my car.”

Abbacchio cocked one eyebrow up, “That’s embarrassing.”

Bruno laughed, “This song is really good though right?”

“Probably because you helped them,” Abbacchio responded.

Bruno shook his head no, “Nope, this was all him. He put his heart and soul into this song. Hey Leone, you kept my poem, right?”

Abbacchio blushed, “U-uh, yeah I still have it…”

Bruno smiled and squeezed his hand tighter.

Narancia was on the second chorus and he was starting to feel more confident, “Tell me how you feel about me. Do you like or like, like me? Tell me what you really feel, do you like me? Just say you do.”

Finally, it was the instrumental bridge, so Narancia could take a few breaths. He watched his friends behind him as they got their moments to shine. All he felt in his heart was love. His friends helped kick the nervousness out of him. He was incredibly grateful for that.

It was time for the last chorus and Narancia sang it at full power, “Tell me how you feel about me. Do you like or like, like me? Tell me what you really feel. Do you like me? Just say you do…”

They finished and the crowd went insane. Everyone was clapping and whooping. Even the people still doing fair activities. Narancia was out of breath. He was about to lose his balance when Mista and Giorno caught him. They all laughed and hugged each other.

Sheila E peaked over at Fugo, “So, what do you think?”

Fugo’s face was still bright red, but he had a smile now, “I think I need to go see Narancia right now.” Then he ran off towards the stage.

People started making their way back towards the fair activities. Some people went towards the stage to tell the band members good job. Mista pointed out Fugo who was making his way over towards the stage. Narancia was incredibly nervous so Mista gave him a little push. Fugo finally made it and the two boys were staring at each other. For once, Narancia didn’t know what to say.

So, Fugo started the conversation, “You’re a really good singer.”

“Oh! Thank you Fugo,” Narancia replied obviously nervous.

Fugo scratched the back of his neck, “I want to answer your question.”

Narancia was confused, “My question?”

Fugo looked a bit irritated, “You know, your song?”

Narancia felt dumb, “OH! Oh. Right. Haha, sorry.”

Narancia didn’t want to be rejected, so his nervous tick (talking a lot) kicked in, “I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable or anything. I’m sorry if this was all too much-“

“I like like you,” Fugo said by cutting him off.

Narancia just stared. He couldn’t really register what just happened, “Y-you, what?”

Fugo face palmed, “Ugh, I am not going to say that again. That’s such a stupid way of phrasing it. Narancia, I like you. I like you in a more-than-friends way.”

Narancia was still speechless, “You…”

“I have feelings for you, you idiot!” Fugo raised his voice.

Narancia’s facial expression went from shocked to bashful to happy really quickly.

“Geez Fugo, I can’t tell you how happy I am to hear that,” Narancia said excitedly.

Fugo sighed and blushed, “Then don’t tell me, just kiss me, Narancia.”

Narancia didn’t need to hear anymore than that. He leaned in and kissed Fugo right on the lips. It was a quick kiss that last for only about 3 seconds, but it was perfect. For those two, it was perfect. Both boys looked at each other and smiled. They were still blushing, but they were used to it by now.

Narancia broke the silence, “Hey Fugo, let’s go on the Ferris wheel!”

Narancia started skipping towards the Ferris wheel and Fugo followed close-by, “Sure, Narancia.”

It was the best school fair either of them had ever been to.

Notes:

And that's a wrap! Thank you everyone for all the support on this fanfiction. Fugonara is a huge comfort ship for me, and this fanfiction has been so much fun to write. I'm glad I could introduce some of you to a new song as well. This song doesn't exactly have the meaning I used it for in the story (unfortunate), but I wanted to make it more positive and cute since this song has always given me good vibes. I love writing stories about the part 5 characters since they are my favorites. I'll be writing more about them in the future if you want to stick around. But once again, I appreciate all the support on the fanfic :)
Arrivederci!

Notes:

Here's a link to the song this fanfiction will be referencing. Every time I hear this song I think of Narancia confessing his feelings to Fugo. It just gives off his energy. Narancia definitely seems like the type to say he "like likes" someone before he reaches the love stage, haha.
