Aizawa interacted with the students less and less over the next few weeks. It was all over the news about present mic’s death and it was hurting Aizawa more every time he heard it. He was given time of work, he would mainly be found in one of the gyms doing some sort of training. Earphones in listening to playlists of music that lasted for many hours before repeating.
He would go back to the dorms occasionally for something to eat, saying the bare minimum but after a few days he didn’t talk to any of them at all. When he wasn’t training he was in his room, but most of the time he was training, his students would bring him food, they would leave breakfast, lunch and dinner for him which he would eat quickly and get back to training, not giving himself breaks.
the class ended up knocking Aizawa out at one point and dragging him to the dorms to make him sleep since he was sleeping less and less. He was only focused on taking his mind off of the world, forgetting to take care of himself like he promised hizashi he would start doing.
monoma and some other students who had no idea what was going on with aizawa made jokes about how Aizawa was over reacting, not needing to take so long off, and saying mic had more friends than just Aizawa...well 1A did not take that well. Everyone who dared to say one bad thing about Aizawa Sensei ended up in recovery girls office with something broken. And when she found out about what they were saying she just scolded them more and practically praised 1A.
It had been just over a week since the incident, the class hadn’t seen Aizawa in a few days apart from bringing him food. He was working himself to hard. But they weren’t expecting to see Aizawa walk through the front door, followed by two older women who whacked him on the back of the head for working to hard.
“please don’t hit aiza-Kun!!” Ashido and uraraka said as they saw that. The 3 adults looking at them
”he shouldn’t be working so hard, coping mechanism or not he needs to take care of himself” the taller of the women said
”may I ask who you both are? I am tenya iida, class president it is lovely to meet you”
“they are Ichika and Azumi Yamada. Hizashi’s mothers” Aizawa answers and both women nod
The class look at each other then back at them “we are sorry for the loss of your son” the whole class day together and bow a little
they Nod and they walk off. Aizawa grabbing snacks and coffee from the kitchen before following them up to his dorm
After a while or so Aizawa walks them out, the class soon found out it was about funeral arrangements.
When the day came, the whole class was allowed to attend if they wished, and they all did, other students attended and the whole UA staff was there. They didn’t see Aizawa much that morning beforehand, but they saw him in a black suit, his hair completely straight and tied back at the base of his neck.
they were all quiet during the service. Aizawa sitting in the family section next to hizashi’s parents. They saw Aizawa shaking a little but didn’t comment. A slideshow of photos and short video’s were shown, starting from when hizashi was a baby right up until recently, in the UA photo’s Aizawa was in most of the selfies hizashi took. And then Aizawa wasn’t in any for a while before appearing again in a few, and when hizashi was an adult, most photo’s he took was with Aizawa.
1A’s eyes widen a little when they see photo’s of Aizawa and Yamada smiling together followed by a few wedding photo’s. Which set Aizawa off.
after the burial, which was family only, 1A didn’t see Aizawa much until later. He was completely quiet, and wasn’t paying attention to the world around him
Aizawa got back to the dorms a few hours after the students, he went up to his room and the students follow him up there, they saw him getting out his training stuff but some walk in and stop him from taking it, making him just when he was them and he stared at them for a few seconds
”what are you all doing?” He questioned
”aiza-Kun, let us have another games night, but this time we want you to talk about him, memories you have with him and memories that make you smile. We will be here to give you hugs, at our last games night we noticed the ring, and seeing the wedding photo today we understand just how much he meant to you. And we want to be here for you, your hurting yourself and not taking care of yourself with training constantly, your not taking breaks and you need to relax. Even if you get hosted were here for you”
different people in the class said different parts of it, but it all meant the same, he nods and put his stuff down and grabs sweatpants and hoodie, making them leave before he got changed. He got the present mic hoodie and spreader it with the cologne again before going downstairs and sitting with the students. He was given food and he realises he really hadn’t been taking care of himself. They waited for him to be comfortable, he just ate and stayed quiet for a while. Gathering memories in his mind and stories to tell. They were all ready to listen. Pillows and blanket forts and looking at him as he started talking
He was quiet, but a small smile as he started talking about the memory ”my earliest memory with him was when we met at the UA sports festival in our first year”
