"Clem, you ready?", Tommy asks as he peeks into his daughter's room, crossing his arms over his chest. He leans against the doorframe and chuckles at the sight of Clementine trying and failing to stuff her stuff into shulker boxes.
"Dad, help me! It just won't fit!", she complains loudly and he laughs quietly. He kneels down next to her and takes out some stuff.
"We can put your backup armor in your Pops' Armor shulker. He's still got a lot of space left in there."
Clementine nods and closes the chest. They both stand up and Clementine looks around her room with a frown. "Do we really have to leave, Dad?"
Tommy nods solemnly. He puts an arm around her shoulders and pulls her close. She melts into his embrace and buries her face in his chest. "We have to go back eventually..."
Clementine whines. "But can't we wait for you guys' wedding?"
"We want to see if our friends care about us and want to attend the wedding, sweetie.", Ranboo chimes in from the door and Tommy turns to look at him with a small smile. Ranboo smiles back reassuringly and continues. "Maybe they regret what they put us through, you know? Mainly your dad."
Tommy hums and rubs Clem's back. She looks up at him. "Are you sure you're ready for that, Dad?"
Tommy blinks and shrugs after a moment. "I don't think I'll ever be ready, sweetie."
Clementine frowns at that and he kisses her on the forehead. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I'll have both of you right next to me, supporting me, after all."
She nods and Tommy smiles. "Great. Now, are you sure you packed everything?"
She nods and Ranboo hums. Tommy nods. "Well, I guess we can leave then."
The three pack everything up and leave the house. Ranboo closes the door and the three look at it one last time. Ranboo squeezes Tommy's hand and the younger of the two kisses the older one on the cheek. "This was nice."
Tommy opens the fence gate of Henry's stable and hugs the cow one last time. "You're free now, Henry. Go find yourself a woman or something."
He watches the cow walk away from the cottage and wipes away the single tear rolling down his cheek. He turns around, gets on his horse and looks at his family with a determined grin. "Let's do this."
The family of three travel for weeks, taking stops in villages or tents everyday. They spend those weeks mentally preparing themselves for what they might see back on SMP grounds.
After weeks of traveling, Tommy stops his horse and his breath hitches slightly. Spawn.
He warns the others and urges his horse to continue on. They ride through the SMP and don't see anyone. Ranboo takes the lead.
He stops at the sight of L'Manberg. He takes a deep breath at hearing Tommy come to a stop next to him. Clementine speaks up from behind them. "What is this place?"
"My L'Manberg...", Tommy whispers and gets off his horse, the rest of his family following his lead. They leave their horses under the L'Mantree and begin walking through the streets of the country.
"Why has it not changed at all?" Ranboo asks and the three stop at the sound of another voice.
"Phil, we've been over this-"
"No, Tubbo. Listen to me-"
Tommy's eyes widen and he turns to look at Ranboo, whose eyes are equally as wide. He tears up and Ranboo whines slightly, purple particles sparkling to life around the two. "Ranboo it's my dad and Tubbo-"
Tommy breaks down and Clementine hugs her dad tightly. Ranboo wipes the younger man's tears away and kisses him softly. "It's okay. You're doing so well, honey."
Tommy sniffs and nods. He turns to Clem and kneels down, kissing her on the forehead. "It's okay, sweetie. I'm fine-"
"Who are you?!"
The three whip around to face an angry looking Techno. Tommy whimpers and shoves Ranboo behind him. Techno's eyes widen. "Tommy?!"
The doors to a large building nearby open and the whole city rushes out, Tubbo in the lead. "Techno, not again-"
Tommy gulps at the sight of his best friend and feels his knees give out slightly. He tugs on Ranboo's arm and the older man warps a protective arm around him.
"Tommy, Ranboo?!"
The crowd rushes forwards and Tommy starts to back away, when Clementine suddenly steps in front of them.
"Oi, dickheads! Can you all just please shut up and let my dad and pops explain themselves?! Thank you!", she yells and everyone falls silent.
"Language, Clem.", Ranboo tuts, while Tommy just grins and gives her a fist-bump. She grins and crosses her arms over her chest.
Ranboo clears his throat. "Um, well, you see- we- ummm, well-"
Tommy groans and slaps a hand over his fiance's mouth. "For fucks sake. Yes, hello, it's Ranboo and Tommy and our daughter Clementine. Can you pricks just patiently ask one question at a time, or are you little shits too dumb to do that?"
Quackity hums and everyone turns to look at him. "Well, it's definatly Tommy."
Phil clears his throat and Tommy nods at him. "How- why are you- you're alive?"
Tommy snorts. "Ender, dad. Of course I am."
Clem huffs and Tommy and Ranboo look down at her. "He's my grandpa?"
Tommy bursts out laughing and Ranboo snorts. Techno snickers and raises an eyebrow at his niece. "I like you already, kid."
She raises an eyebrow at him. "Uncle Techno, right?"
He blinks for a second and then nods. "Hm I'm not sure if I like you. You did a lot of fucked up shit to my dad, but he also told me you used to be an amazing older brother that he looked up to, so I guess you'll just have to see if I end up liking you."
He hums. "You're awfully smart for your age."
"For my age? Shut up, old man."
He snorts and Tommy grins proudly. Techno huffs and opens his arms. "Wanna hug your favorite brother?"
Tommy hums. "I don't really think Wilbur's here, Techie."
Techno rolls his eyes and Tommy crashes into his arms with a laugh. Someone clears their throat from behind the two and Tommy let's go of Technoblade to see Wilbur standing behind him, alive and well. "Actually I am here."
Tommy gapes and TEchno just opens his arms a little ore. Wilbur laughs and joins the hug. "I'm so sorry for what I did to you in Pogtopia, Tommy." Tommy whimpers quietly and Techno hums. "yea, I'm sorry too, Toms. I shouldn't have killed Tubbo back then and said those awful things to you."
Tommy hums. "It's okay, I forgave you both a while ago."
They hug for a few more seconds and when they let go, Phil moves to stand in front of Tommy. Tommy tears up and Phil grabs his face carefully, examining him. "I'm so sorry, mate."
Tommy sniffs and quickly hugs him. Phil exhales softly and hold him close. Techno and Wilbur join the hug again and the family stays like that for a while. Once they break apart, Tommy nods at Ranboo and smiles at his family. "I'll leave you guys to get to know Clementine and Ranboo a bit better, I'll go speak to Tubbo."
The three nod and Tommy leaves them with a fond grin. He comes to a stop in front of Tubbo. Tubbo just stares at him and carefully presses a hand to his cheek. Tommy leans into the touch.Tubbo hugs him close and he chuckles, hugging back. "So many hugs today."
"Well, I missed out on 5 years of TommyInnit hugs, I have the right to retrieve them now.", Tubbo jokes and Tommy snorts. The two break apart and Tubbo notices the ring on his hand. Tommy chuckles awkwardly.
"Ranboo, who's the lucky lady?", he hears Quackity ask his fiance behind him and sees Tubbo's eyes slowly widen in understanding.
"Oh."
"Uh, well, lucky man actually..."
"Pops, I swear to Ender- Dad and Pops are getting married soon."
"What?!"
Tommy laughs loudly and pulls Tubbo back to his family by the hand. "Everyone, meet my fiance, Ranboo, and my daughter, Clementine. We're moving back here."
"What the fuck.", Fundy says and everyone agrees.
"Where's the green bitch, by the way?"
"Prison."
"Oh, poggers!"
"Dad, please...."
They all erupt into laughter and spend the rest of the day catching up. Tommy looks at Ranboo next to him and grins. Ranboo rolls his eyes and kisses him softly. They were back home. For real this time.
