Chapter Text
“uh george, i'm so sorry, i probably should've told you earlier but-” dream was cut off by the sound of the doorbell ringing. he groaned and stood up, george following behind.
“hi, honey! thank you so much for agreeing to watch your sister. it's only for today and i’ll be back to pick her up tonight!” dreams mother said, ushering her daughter in and waving goodbye to the three of them. drista stood there for a minute, staring up at the two adults.
“so can we do something? i'm already bored,” she complained, strutting into the house like she owned the place.
“yeah sure sis, how about we watch a movie?” dream offered, already heading in the direction of the living room.
“we can do that after i speak with dream. we’ll be back in a minute drista, get comfy!” george grabbed dream's arm, pulling him towards their bedroom. after shutting the door behind them, he spoke.
“so you're telling me that you forgot to mention that we would be watching your little sister today? i mean i don't have an issue, but i would have appreciated a little notice!” george said, trying to keep his voice down so drista didn't hear.
“george, i know i should've told you sooner, i just got so caught up with filming that it didn't cross my mind,” dream explained. george sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“well, there's nothing we can do about it now. let's just have fun with your sister, okay?”
dream nodded in response, following george out of the room.
“hey, drista do you want popcorn? i think we have some in the kitchen,” george asked.
“yeah that sounds good, could we order food for dinner though?”
“uh sis, isn't mom cooking tonight? you can just eat that later,” dream said, pulling the package of popcorn out of the cabinet.
“she is, and i love her food, but sometimes i just need some classic pizza y'know? i can't be eating gourmet every day,” drista said, leaning back on the couch.
“agreed, i mean i haven't eaten your mom's cooking that much but i think we all need some pizza in our lives,” george said.
“oh come on george! you're supposed to me on my side!” dream whined, bring the bowl out.
“see, i knew i could trust you! your boyfriend is way better than you, dream,” drista smirked while grabbing a handful of popcorn. george giggled and dream scoffed, reaching to grab the remote.
“whatever idiot, let's pick a movie.”

they ended up watching a random comedy, and later on, the pizza came.
“fuck this is so good!” drista exclaimed, biting into her slice.
“language! see this is why mom loves me more, because i don't curse when i'm not supposed to,” dream teased. drista’s jaw dropped in mock offense, rolling her eyes dramatically.
“language? seriously dream? you're starting to sound like bad,'' george said, attempting to hold in his laughter. drista however, let her laughs run loose, slapping a hand over her mouth.
“oh my god dream you just got destroyed! high five gogy!” drista raised her hand, instantly colliding it with georges.
“if you keep this up i’ll go dark on twitter,” dream threatened.
“oh no! whatever will we do! poor dweam, all sad on twitter dot com,” george mocked, making fake crying expressions.
“aw so sad, dream went dark over being totally owned by his sister and his boyfriend!” drista joined in on the joke, clutching her heart in pretend sadness.
“oh you little-” a knock at the door interrupted their banter. “one sec, i’ll get it,” dream said, standing up.
at the door was his mom, ready to take drista home.
“mom? but it's so early!” drista cried, coming up behind dream. george appeared a moment later, chewing on his pizza.
“it's only 8? this is when i said i would come to get you. but i'm hoping you had fun here!” her mom said. drista nodded, stepping outside.
“thanks for being cool, george. as for you dream… you suck!” before dream could react, she dashed to the car, yanking the handle and climbing in. george laughed and said goodbye to their mom.
“well, i like your sister.”
“of course you do. she just stroked your ego the whole time!”
“she didn't lie though, i am the coolest and way better than you,” george smirked, bopping dream on the nose.
“hey!”
