Chapter Text
There’s light? You see a small child with a striped shirt running up to a Goat-like lady holding pie. The human child runs around the lady’s skirt while staring up at the pie. The Goat lady laughs and rubs the child's short brown hair before placing the pie on the table. You walk up to the child and see other creatures with scales, fur, horns and feathers all gathered in a huge crowd. Surprised you start heading towards the crowd but begin to panic as the monsters start to dance around you. Stumbling backwards you fall into the path of a blue fish monster stomping to the music. Paralyzed in shock you watch as their arm is about to hit your chest and close your eyes. Only for their arm to go through your chest!
Looking down at your chest you begin to rub at it. There seems to be nothing wrong with you. Then suddenly a giant dog begins to run towards you and leaps only to go through you and fall into the pool. You see the blue fish monster open their mouth and scream “Greater Dog no running around the pool”. Greater Dog? You turn around and see a small dog's body exit the pool where the giant dog had landed.
Nervous about going through another monster, you walk back to where the human child and goat lady were sitting. Only to see a skeleton monster wearing a thick blue jacket, black shorts and … fuzzy pink slippers? Alongside another skeleton monster about 2 feet taller wearing a red scarf and some sort of body armor?
You walk closer to them and see the small child jump up and begin swinging on the taller skeleton's arms. The skeleton seems joyful about this action and grabs the child by their sides to toss them up into the air. You continue to watch as the skeleton keeps playing with the child.
Time seems to have passed by quickly as you see monsters leaving the backyard and telling each other goodbye. Turning back to the child you see the tall skeleton tearfully waving the child goodbye and promising to come by some other time to play. The goat lady grabs the child's hand and leads them into the house. Following behind them you watch as they prepare themselves for bed and the goat lady kisses the child goodnight before leaving the room. Walking closer to the bed as you stare down at the child. Strangely enough you can’t help but find them familiar. The child quickly hops out of bed and opens up their window. Startled, you hop backwards and watch as a yellow flower slowly appears in the window opening. Walking behind the child you notice that there seems to be a face on the yellow flower. You watch as the child begins to quickly sign with their fingers. “I’m worried that the angel might be gone forever. Flowey”. You blanch as you realized you could perfectly understand the child despite not knowing ASL.
Flowey sighs and says “You know Frisk you could be back with the Angel if you reset”. Frisk? but isn’t that…
The child shakes their head “I don’t want to take away everyone's happiness on the surface”. Flowey laughs “Frisk you could always give them their happy ending all over again” on that last note the flower slides back through the window. Sighing the child closes the window and sits on the bed. They seemed to be arguing with themselves before they suddenly stood up and a red aura began shifting around their form. The words *CONTINUE and *RESET appeared in front of them.
Dread begins to form in your gut as you watch the chil- no Frisk’s hand hover over the RESET option. As their hand reaches for it you quickly grab their wrist and tell them to stop. Startled Frisk looks back at you. “Angel?” The child mouths at you before suddenly you feel as though your body is starting to drift away. The child continues to try and get your attention but all you could feel is yourself slowly falling backwards into the darkness. You couldn’t help but smile as you realize at least there’s no pain this time. Unaware of the child’s growing distress you slowly disappear from view.
