    Summary

Drake rubbed his face as he approached the screen. “Okay. Due to persistent, aggravating, relentless nagging—” he cut a pointed look at Kon, “—I will now be walking you through the events surrounding my retrieval of Bruce Wayne from a temporal displacement, why Ra’s al Ghul keeps sending me flowers as part of a murder-proposal pact, and why I am, as of last quarter, the CEO of Wayne Enterprises.”

There was a beat of stunned silence.

“All of which,” Drake added dryly, “are, somehow, related.”

    “Wait—flowers?” Richard said. “From Ra’s?”

“What the hell is this timeline?” Stephanie mumbled.

Kon said nothing, just gave Timothy a supportive nudge and plugged in the drive.

    The screen blinked to life.

Oh I love this so so much.... I can feel myself tearing up over Damian and Tim bonding.
I feel like they would be so good!! And this fic fuels my belief, heals a side of me that wants these two to get along. Both of them had demanding yet detached childhoods and left with doubts about their place within the family and to see them going past that and bonding melts my heart.

    Also the TimKon is delectable

    Summary

Maybe it’s Red’s bad influence, maybe it’s the Frank Jr in his head that’s switched tracks from ‘kill ‘em Daddy’ to ‘save him, save me', but Frank hesitates on his walk out of Fisk’s prison.

“I’m just a photographer, promise. Nothing to do with the vigilantes or the attacks or any of Fisk’s work. I’m nobody, I just take photos,” a kid, barely past drinking age, rambles behind his own bars.

Tonight’s been a night of bad, reckless, half-cocked decisions—so screw it to hell. One more wasn’t going to kill him.

Or: Frank Castle helps Peter Parker, investigative journalist and photographer (and Spider-Man), make a jailbreak from Fisk’s personal prison.

    Summary

Stumbling blindly through Gotham's night was not how Danny expected his evening to go -- but to be fair, Vlad injecting him with blood blossom extract was also NOT how he was expecting his evening to go. So it's a night of new surprises, and really Danny just wants to get away from his godfather as soon as possible before the man catches up to him, or before the blood blossom currently coursing through his veins and eating him raw killed him.

Vlad is a man that likes to hide in the dark, it's unfortunate for him that Danny's learned to be a thing that hides in there too. From the corner of his unfocused eye he spots a man with horns dripping in shadows, hiding in an alleyway. Danny knows a kindred spirit when he sees one.

My goodness I love this so so much
It's devastating, with additional lore to add to the beautiful storytelling and really make you hate Vlad, yet also such an emotional piece when it comes to Battison Bruce and Alfred with Danny

I hope Battison gets to rip out Vlad's spinal column one day

    Summary

Finally Bruce looks at him, one hand slaps the space button on the keyboard, and the video pauses. His expression doesn't shift, but there's a weight in the lines of his face that reminds Danny of a set of weights sagging.

He looks quite like he's grieving something.

Bruce opens his mouth, his voice comes out terribly soft and heartbroken: "He looks like you."

Which is— a terrifying sentence in and of itself. One that makes Danny's legs shake and ignite his ragged, poison-chewed nerves alight with the need to run. An instinctive urge to deny, deny, deny.

How could he? He could say, that's a ghost, Bruce. I'm not a ghost. He could crack a joke, and ask, 'do I look dead to you?' or say something about how he knows that his parents studied ghosts, but that didn't make him one.

He could say that, and he could say it knowing full well that Bruce would see right through it. He'd probably let Danny too.

    Summary

Not all deaths are created equal.

Sometimes, they are beautiful and sensitive. The passing on of a life when it was time for them to go. An easy, restful slumber for them to sink into.

Sometimes, they are abrupt and cruel. The theft of a life before their time. Their string cut short like a puppet. A robbed existence with no chance of goodbye.

But... most times, they are just unremarkable. Unexpected. Clumsy.

All it takes is just one night. One hour. One moment. One mistake. And a life can quickly be turned upside down, can become quickly unrecognizable and unsaved. Just one night. Just one moment. And things will never be the same.

Danny Fenton is just thirteen when the water heater breaks inside his house, and nobody knows but his father.

Devastatingly beautiful, I love the description and how this focuses on how unforgettable and unintentional death can be
