Chapter Text
its finally here the last chapter of doomsday
The Daleks land, trundling across the floor, exclaiming exterminates in the human's direction. Rose stands tall stepping in front of the men; she addresses the Daleks.
"Daleks! You're called Daleks. I know your name. Think about it how can I know that? A human who knows about the Daleks and the Time War. If you want to know how, then keep us alive. That's all I'm asking. Me and my friends."
Mikey and Rajesh follow suite, claiming knowledge, they didn't have.
The Daleks choose to keep the humans alive, dismissing them as no threat they discuss the Genesis Ark that appeared with them.
Mikey turns to Rose while they are in discussion asking how the Daleks can be there if they're supposed to be dead, shaking her head she chooses to focus on the ark, because she didn't know what it was, and if the Daleks need it, protected it, it was definitely something bad. She tentatively reaches for the Doctor's mind only to recoil, sensing his agitation she leaves him to deal with the Cybermen. She straightens her spine, standing tall. She's delt with Daleks before, she killed them, she killed their emperor. 'I've got this' she says mentally to herself. Feeling the Tardis's reassurance in her mind she calms instantly.
[Yvonne's Office]
Jackie is yelling at the Doctor, refusing to listen to reason until he grabs her by the shoulders.
"I don't know. I'll find her. I brought you here, I'll get you both out, you and your daughter. Jackie, look at me. Look at me. I promise you. I give you, my word."
The Cyberleader, takes control of the room once more, demanding to speak to a central world authority to order global surrender.
Yvonne in her snarkiest voice "Oh, do some research. We haven't got a central world authority."
"You have now. I will speak on all global wavelengths. This broadcast is for humankind." The Doctor puts his 3d glasses on again as the Cyberleader talks to the world using tv screens "Cybermen now occupy every land mass on this planet, but you need not fear. Cybermen will remove fear. Cybermen will remove sex and class and colour and creed. You will become identical. You will become like us."
The world falls into instant chaos.
"I ordered surrender." A fact the Cyberleader cannot understand will never be followed, the Doctor explains.
"They're not taking instructions. Don't you understand? You're on every street, you're in their homes, you've got their children! Of course they're going to fight."
[Sphere lab]
The leader of the Daleks questions which human is the least important, Rose starts to argue that's not how it works but Rajesh cuts her off telling the Daleks that he represented Torchwood, and he will be who they will be dealing with, the Daleks force him to kneel with his back to them, demanding Knowledges, he offers it freely but they decide taking it would be easier, and begin a brainwave extraction, Three Daleks sink their plungers enveloping his head. He screams offering them anything they want as Rose and Mikey watch on helpless.
[lever room]
The Cybermen have been scanning the building detecting unknown technology within the sphere chamber. The Cyberleader sends a few units to investigate.
[Sphere lab]
The mummified body of Rajesh hits the ground, already falling to pieces. Using his memories the Daleks have gained knowledge on the ghost invasion. Rose catches their attention yelling at them for killing Rajesh, they just point out that they didn't need him alive. Turning to another Dalek the leader demands he investigate outside.
[communications]
The Cyberleader and the leader of the Daleks both open communications, visual and verbal. They spend the first few minutes of the communications demanding the other identify themselves. Mikey makes a joke, but Rose hushes him. The idiotic communications come to an end when the Daleks accidentally identify themselves 'Daleks do not take orders.' they also deduce who the cybermen are from outlines 'Outline resembles the inferior species known as Cybermen.'
[Yvonne's office]
The humans in Yvonne's office try to keep themselves offscreen, so the Daleks don't see the Doctor, getting themselves worked up. Jackie turns fearfully to the Doctor expressing her horror at the thought of Rose down there, wondering out loud if she were even alive. The Doctor knows she's alive but can't get through to her, he can feel something stirring through the bond and chooses not to disturb it, should it be the wolf awakening. Feeling his fear her wolf rub up against his mind in a gentle caress to calm him.
'It's not yet time, it's too early.'
"Phone." The Doctor demands from Jackie as the cybermen explain how they followed the daleks through the void.
[Sphere lab]
The Daleks confirm via scans that crude cybernetic constructs are worldwide. As Rose answers her phone, the first thing she hears is the Doctors conversation with her mother.
'She's answered. She's alive. Why haven't they killed her?'
'Well, don't complain!'
'They must need her for something." Rose rolls her eyes listening to them bicker. As the daleks say.
"We must protect the Genesis Ark."
[Yvonne's Office]
At the phrase Genesis Ark the Doctor frowns miming the words. He puts his 3d glasses back on scowling at the scene on the laptop, all the while trying to keep himself from view of the daleks.
The Cyberleader makes a comment about the similarities of their species then calls the Daleks design inelegant. The Doctor catches Rose holding back a smile.
[Sphere lab]
Three cybermen and two daleks have congregated in the hall while the communications are happening,
"Daleks have no concept of elegance."
"This is obvious. But consider, our technologies are compatible. Cybermen plus Daleks."
"I'll give them this, cybermen know how to throw shade." Mikey whispers to Rose going unnoticed as the Cyberman continues, "Together, we could upgrade the Universe."
"You propose an alliance?"
Rose grips Mikey's bicep, if they form an alliance, it would be goodbye to not just the human race, but the universe. Her eyes search the screen trying to find the Doctor.
[Yvonne's Office]
At the Daleks rejection, the room seems to let out a collective sigh. In the corridor the Daleks kill the Cybermen, the Cyberleader is furious, reopening the visual, the Daleks had closed The Cybermen declare war.
"This is not war. This is pest control."
This time everyone can hear Mikey's 'Dammmmmn' The Doctor hits a hand to his forehead in exasperation.
[Sphere lab]
Mikey all but loses his composer when the Daleks say they can defeat the millions of cybermen with 1 single dalek because they are only superior at dying. His mirth is short lived as they realise the daleks have identified the Doctor as the communications are closed.
"The female's heartbeat has increased."
"Yeah, tell me about it." Mikey jokes.
Rose slaps his arm, stepping forwards she addresses the Daleks; "All right, then. If you really want to know, that's the Doctor." Watching with a smirk as the Dalek backs up in fear. "Five million Cybermen, easy. One Doctor? Now you're scared."
She taps her chin with a wolfish smile, "But the real question is do you know who I am?" Mikey frowns as the Daleks demand she make herself known in an agitated state.
Rose raises her left hand, letting it become encased in Time energy she looks the Dalek straight in its eyestalk. "Are you afraid of the big bad wolf." A howl resounds around the room making the Daleks uneasy.
[Yvonne's office]
Once the communications are cancelled the Cyberleader jumps to action, demanding the Sphere chamber be quarantined. Telling other Cybermen to begin an emergency upgrading starting with Jackie and Yvonne. Both women start to shout as they are dragged away. Yvonne at the cybermen not understanding why they would use her if she surrendered. Jackie on the other hand was shouting at the Doctor,
"Stop them! I don't want to go! You promised me! You gave me your word!"
The Cybermen choose to leave the Doctor as he is when they realise, he may have vital information on the daleks.
"I demand you leave that woman alone! I won't help you if you hurt her. Jackie don't fight. I'll think of something." He is helpless as both women are dragged from the room.
The Cybermen mock the Doctor for his show of emotions, pointing out how they destroy humanity.
"Yeah, I am. Mind you, I quite like hope. Hope's a good emotion. And here it comes."
He can feel them coming through. A group of black-clad commandoes pop into existence taking out the remaining Cybermen in the lever room. The Cyberleader marches in to engage but is shot down instantly.
"Doctor? Good to see you again." The mask is pulled back the Doctor is shocked to see Jake. "The Cybermen came through from one world to another, and so did we."
[Lever room]
The Doctor put on the 3d glasses again to look at Jake and his people, as Jake instructs them into position reminding them that the Cyberleader would just download into another. The men and woman rush to their assignments on his order.
"You can't just, just, just hop from one world to another. You can't." The whole situation is making the Doctor uneasy, Cybermen, Daleks and now dimensional travel all at once.
"We just did, With these." Jake throws a yellow medallion to the doctor identical to the one around his own neck. The Doctor looks between Jake and the medallion he knows when he is being lied to, most of the time.
"But that's impossible, you can't have this sort of technology." He says hoping Jake will give him the full truth.
Jake just shrugs, "We've got our own version of Torchwood. They developed it. Do you want to come and see?"
The Doctor shouts no as Jake hits the yellow button, they vanish.
[Parallel Torchwood]
It's a wreck, the only way the Doctor can describe it. He is pulled from his mussing as Jake explains Parallel earths, Parallel Torchwood. Cutting him off the Doctor stresses the importance of getting back telling Jake how much danger Rose and her mother are in.
"That'd be Jackie." Pete walks out of the shadows "My wife in a parallel universe. And as for you, Doctor, at least this time I know who you are."
"Right, yes, fine, hooray. But I've got to get back, right now." He stresses beginning to lose his temper with the man.
"No, you're not in charge here. This is our world, not yours. And you're going to listen for once."
[Sphere lab]
Mikey turns to Rose holding out his own yellow transporter, "I could transport out of here, but it only carries one and I'm not leaving you." they share a smile,
"You'd follow me anywhere. What did I do to you all those years ago?"
"You're my family Rose. No don't look at me like that, the only reason we dated as long as we did was because I was safe," he puts a hand on her arm to stop her interruption, "at the time you needed safe, but now you need adventure and danger he's good for you, always has been. I shouldn't have been so jealous, so petty. But I missed you." He lets out a huff of air. The words hanging between them.
"Well, I can't think what the Daleks need with me. I'm nothing to them." Mikey adds at last breaking the silence.
"You could be. Whatever's inside that Ark is waking up, and I've seen this happen before." Rose tells Mikey about the dying dalek she met, how touching it brought it back to life.
"As the Doctor said, when you travel in time in the Tardis, you soak up all this background radiation. It's harmless. It's just there. But in the Time War, the Daleks evolved so they could use it as a power supply."
"I love it when you talk technical." She punches him in the arm.
"Shut up. If the Daleks have got something inside that thing, and it needs waking up." Mikey's eyes widen.
"They need you."
"You've travelled in time. Either one of us would do."
Mikey is confused why they would build something they can't open. The Daleks interrupt their conversation,
"The technology is stolen. The Ark is not of Dalek design."
Stepping forwards she tries to take control but is ignored. "The Time Lords. This is all that survives of their Home World."
The Daleks call the ark their future. Rose is afraid, she tries to reach out to the Doctor to ask him about the ark and what it could do. But she can't reach him, it's like there is a wall between them, she batters against it not able to get through. Frustrated she slips out of her mind.
[Parallel world]
Pete is explaining to the Doctor how they sealed the Cybermen in the factories when he left world. Jake pipes in here and there with addition info. Pete explains how they infiltrated torchwood escaping into his world. The Doctor asks when.
"3 years."
"It's taken them three years to cross the void, but we can pop to and fro in a second. Must be the sheer mass of five million Cybermen crossing all at once."
"Yeah, Mickey said you'd rattle off that sort of stuff." He finally says after sharing a signification look with Jake. Before the Doctor can question it, Pete continues, " Mikey went ahead, figured he could scope it out and hopefully find you and Miss Tyler."
"She's your daughter. You do know that? Did Mickey explain?"
Pete walks away to stand at the window "She's not mine. She's the child of a dead man. Look at it, a world of peace. They're calling this The Golden Age."
Letting him change the topic he enquires about the president. Telling them to keep an eye on her when he finds out its Harriet Jones.
"But it's a lie. Temperatures have risen by two degrees in the past six months. The ice caps are melting. They're saying all this is going to be flooded. That's not just global warming, is it?"
The Doctor shakes his head Pete sighs running a hand over his face.
"It's the breach, isn't it?"
"I've been trying to tell you. Travel between parallel worlds is impossible. Then the Daleks break down the walls with a Sphere."
"Daleks?"
"Then the Cybermen travelled across, then you lot. Those discs. Every time you jump from one reality to another, you rip a hole in the universe. This planet is starting to boil. Keep going and both worlds will fall into the Void."
"But you can stop it? The famous Doctor. You can seal the breach?"
"Leaving five million Cybermen stranded on my Earth."
"That's your problem. I'm protecting this world, and this world only."
"Hmm. Pete Tyler. I knew you when you were dead. Now here you are, fighting the fight alone. There is a chance, back on my world, Jackie Tyler might still be alive."
"My wife died."
"Her husband died. Good match."
"There's more important things at stake. Doctor, help us."
"What, close the breach? Stop the Cybermen? Defeat the Daleks? Do you believe I can do that?"
Both men reply with a confident yes making the Doctor smile for the first time since they arrived at torchwood.
"Maybe that's all I need. Off we go, then!" He hits the teleport.
[Lever room]
The Doctor runs into Yvonne's office telling the men he needed to make a quick phone call. He calls Jackie's phone. She answers straight away, shouting for help, he cringes away from the phone slightly shushing her so he could speak, he asks where she is, but she doesn't know, a staircase. The Doctor rolls his eyes at her answer. He asks her to look for something to give him a clue, she answers a fire extinguisher, he pulls the phone away from his ear and just looks at it for a moment. "Yeah, that helps."
Finally Jackie finds a sign, the Doctor hangs up telling her to be careful.
He turns around to meet Pete's eye, "Jacqueline Andrea Suzette Tyler."
Pete just shakes his head, "She's not my wife."
"I was at the wedding. You got her name wrong. Now then, Jakey boy, if I can open up the bonding chamber on this thing, it'll work on polycarbite."
Before they leave the office, the doctor grabs a piece of paper attaching it to a pointer. Grinning at the men he races out of the room.
[Corridor]
The doctor waves the piece of paper as if it were a flag around the corner before making himself known.
"Sorry. No white flag. I only had a sheet of A4. Same difference."
"Do you surrender?"
"I surrender unto you. A very good idea."
[Sphere lab]
The Daleks finally disconnect from the ark. Demanding Rose use her hand print to open it. She refuses so they threaten Mikey's life. She moves forwards, Mikey reaches out grabbing her hand. "Don't do it Rose, just promise you'll tell Jake I love him ok." He takes a deep breath as if centring himself, for his death.
"Mikey they are going to kill us both either way." she pulls away from his grasp looking the leading Dalek in the eye stalk.
"If you escaped the Time War, don't you want to know what happened?" she taunts them. "What happened to the Emperor?"
That caused a commotion all the Daleks wanted to know what happened to the emperor if he survived the war.
"Me, I happened to your Emperor." She pauses making sure to look each dalek in the eyestalk. "I took the Time Vortex and I poured it into his head and turned him into dust. Do you get that? The God of all Daleks, and I destroyed him. Ha!"
"You will be Exterminated!"
"I will not!" Rose replies calmly as golden whisps escape her fingers.
"Oh now, hold on, wait a minute." The Doctor has arrived, wearing his 3d glasses again.
The Daleks fall into disarray, he smirks at the chaos, asking Rose if she is ok. He feels her tentatively brush up against his mind, realising she can feel him again, the barrier was gone she lets out a sigh of relief.
Calmed at the feeling of Rose in his mind he turns to Mikey greeting him.
Mikey gives him a nod; the Daleks try taking control of the situation. Demanding to know how the Doctor survived the Time war, Rose cringes wishing she could go to him, instead she surrounds his mind with her love at the feel of his self-loathing. His eyes meet her for a second, full of emotion. "By fighting. On the front line. I was there at the fall of Arcadia. Someday I might even come to terms with that. But you lot ran away!"
"We had to survive."
"The last four Daleks in existence. So what's so special about you?"
"Doctor, they've got names. I mean, Daleks don't have names, do they? One of them said they".
The Daleks introduce themselves, it's their names that give them away the Doctor knows instantly who they are, the cult of Skaro. He explains who they are and what they did to his companions.
Mikey interrupts him mid explanation, the Doctor huffs "But that thing, they said it was yours. I mean, Time Lords. They built it. What does it do?"
He shrugs mad at the interruption "I don't know. Never seen it before." Rose asks him whether it is time lord or not, he doesn't know how to answer because he doesn't have any answers to give her. "Both sides had secrets. What is it? What have you done?"
The Daleks demand the Doctor opens the ark. He refuses. The Daleks tell him he has no way to resist them. The Doctor pulls his sonic from his coat pocket with a flourish.
"A sonic probe?"
"That's screwdriver." The Doctor shouts with agitative energy. Rose studies him curiously, wondering what he had done. The daleks call it harmless. The Doctor gives them his signature grin.
"Oh, yes. Harmless is just the word. That's why I like it. Doesn't kill, doesn't wound, doesn't maim. But I'll tell you what it does do. It is very good at opening doors." He hits the button and the door to the lab blows in. Jake rolls in with several cybermen at his command all guns blazing, the cybermen are already shooting Rose makes a run for it stumbling when she realises, she is in the presence of one of her siblings, moving to turn back Pete grabs her dragging her to the door. Mikey grabs for his gun, not wanting to leave Jake alone with two waring species. The Daleks are struggling trying to get their fire power restored after using so much on the genesis ark. Finally their weapons are back online and they begin taking out the cybermen with ease, one of the Daleks nock into Mickey throwing him into the ark
Jake runs through the fray, grabbing Mikey by the arm hauling him towards the others at the emergency door. Closing the blast doors the Doctor sends Jake to check the stairwell, Mikey follows him without a though, telling Rose they would catch up with them.
[corridor]
They find Jackie being caged in by cybermen, Pete doesn't hesitate for a second shooting them down to save his wife's life.
"Pete?" She stares tears in her eyes.
"Hello, Jacks." He breathes, gun falling limply to his side.
"I said there were ghosts, but that's not fair. Why him?" She asks looking past him to the Doctor and Rose.
"I'm not a ghost."
"But you're dead. You died twenty years ago, Pete." The tears have gathered but refuses to fall. Stepping forwards the Doctor tries to explain,
"It's Pete from a different universe. There are parallel worlds, Jackie. Every single decision we make creates a parallel existence, a different dimension where".
"Oh, you can shut up. Oh, you look old." She doesn't want to talk to anyone else, because this is Pete her Pete, and he is stood in front of her and she wants as long as she can get with him before he is gone again too.
"You don't." He whispers taking her all in.
"How can you be standing there?"
"I just got lucky. Lived my life. You were left on your own. You didn't marry again, or" He trails off with hope.
Jackie shakes her head, "There was never anyone else. Twenty years, though. Look at me. I never left that flat. Did nothing with myself."
"You brought her up. Rose Tyler. That's not bad." He tilts his head in Rose's direction refusing to break eye contact with her.
"Yeah." She doesn't know what else to say, what else is there to say.
"In my world, it worked. All those daft little plans of mine, they worked. Made me rich."
"I don't care about that. How rich?" The Doctor snorts at that, Rose slaps his chest making sure he hasn't ruined their moment. Smiling as Pete says Very.
"I don't care about that. How very?"
"Thing is though, Jacks, you're not my wife. I'm sorry, but you're not. I mean, we both. You know, it's just sort of." He stops and just stares at her for a moment before dropping his gun. "Oh, come here." He is running to her, she's running too, they meet in the middle. Pete picks her up off the ground spinning her slightly as she wraps her legs around his waist trying to get as close as possible. Neither wanting to let go.
[Warehouse]
The Doctor sneaks into the warehouse as Cybermen, Daleks and soldier's fight. He crawls over to the crate from earlier grabbing a pair of magnaclamps. Dodging laser fire to get back. He pauses at the door Rose back at his side.
"What're they doing? Why do they need to get outside?"
"Time Lord science. What Time Lord science? What is it?"
[corridor]
The Doctor tells them they have to go back up so he can see what they are doing. Jackie protests point out that there are 45 floors, she would know she ran down them all. Jake and Mikey pop their heads round a door, "We could always take the lift." Jake says, they all rush in. Rose stares, she's found her brother. Feeling her gaze he meets her eye giving her a wink.
'Lupa,' She projects hopefully, The Doctors head snaps up hearing the message looking between the two. Rose just shakes her head, realising her need for privacy he draws Jackie and Mikey into conversation.
'Hello little sister, I can't believe it took this long to finally meet this body, I always hoped we would have been girls at the same time, but alas it wasn't meant to be.'
'Did you know, back on the parallel world, did you know?'
Jake shakes his head, 'No it wasn't until afterwards, I was killed by a cybermen, shot straight in the head, fell out of a window 50 stories up. There wasn't much left of me.' Rose cringes in sympathy, 'anyway as you can guess I came back, woke up to Mikey crying over me.' His eyes flicker over to the man in question a fond smile on his lips.
'You and Mikey?'
'Yeah, we got together before I knew who I was, before well, you don't hate me Do you?'
'Lupa, I love you and if he makes you happy, I'm happy, maybe that's why I met him, so he could find his way to you in that parallel world. I always knew my Mikey was special.'
"Yeah, he is" Jake says out loud. Jackie looks confused. Rose knows she should tell her what's going on, but it's just not the time. Mikey reaches around punching Jake in the shoulder telling him to shut up. Pete and the Doctor just laugh.
[Yvonne's office]
The Doctor gets to the window in time to see the Ark shooting out Daleks in all directions as it spins.
"Time lord science, its bigger on the inside." Rose whispers hand over mouth.
"It's a prison ship."
"How many?" Pete wants the facts.
"Millions." It's Jake who answers. The Daleks spread out over London as Cybermen clomp their way through the streets, stopping to shooting into the sky.
[Lever room]
"I'm sorry, but you've had it. This world's going to crash and burn. There's nothing we can do. We're going home." He walks over to one of his commandos taking a medallion placing it in Jackie's hand, "Jacks, take this. You're coming with us."
She protests, not wanting to leave while her home is being destroyed. Pete leans down pressing his forehead to hers for a second, pecking her lips gently. "I'd forgotten you could argue. It's not just London, it's the whole world. But there's another world just waiting for you, Jacks. And it's safe as long as the Doctor closes the breach. Doctor?"
The Doctor turns around 3d glasses back on. "Oh, I'm ready. I've got the equipment right here. Thank you, Torchwood." he turns to the computer terminal typing away, he keeps talking, "Slam it down and close off both universes."
"But we can't just leave. What about the Daleks? And the Cybermen?" He turns touching her elbows.
"They're part of the problem, and that makes them part of the solution. Oh yes! Well? Isn't anyone going to ask what is it with the glasses?" So she asks, "I can see, that's what. because we've got two separate worlds, but in between the two separate worlds, we've got the Void. That's where the Daleks were hiding. And the Cybermen travelled through the Void to get here. And you lot, one world to another, via the Void. Oh, I like that. Via the Void. Look." He gently places the glasses on her face. Explaining he has been through the void, Rose is confused she can't see anything different.
"I might be able to help with that." They turn to Jake who has his armed raised in the air, "Doctor we are of the void, my sister and I, we can see without those glasses, we always see. Sister look at Jackie she is the only person in the room,"
"Who hasn't been through the void, so hasn't got the background radiation." She finishes for him.
"Sister what do you mean sister, did you have a son in that world." Jackie shouts scared and confused.
Pete, tucks a lock of hair behind her ear, "No Jacks, but Jake and Mickey are as good as my boys." He stops looking over at Rose unsure what to say next. She flounders not sure how to tell her mother.
The Doctor deciding he has been ignored enough tells them the brilliant plan he has come up with. "The Daleks lived inside the Void. They're bristling with it. Cybermen, all of them. I just open the Void and reverse. The Void stuff gets sucked back inside."
Jake nods his head, "Pulling them all in."
"Pulling them all in." The Doctor repeats, a glint in his eye.
"what's the Void?"
"The dead space. Some people call it Hell." The Doctor explains ignoring the looks from the two eternals in the room.
"So you're sending the Daleks and Cybermen to Hell. Man, I told you he was good."
Jake moves to stand next to Rose nocking shoulders with her.
'our brother is not going to like that,' she laughs. 'speaking of our brother, does he know about you and the Time Lord.'
She just nods not offering any explanation. They can gossip later when her world is safe.
"But it's like you said. We've all got Void stuff. Me too because we went to that parallel world. We're all contaminated. We'll get pulled in."
"That's why you've got to go." Jake burst out laughing much to the confusion of the others in the room, clapping a hand on his shoulder wishing him luck he re-joins Mikey pressing his forehead to his shoulder, they share a whispered conversation. "Back to Pete's world. Hey, we should call it that. Pete's World. I'm opening the Void, but only on this side. You'll be safe on that side." The Doctor carries on as if he hadn't been interrupted.
"And then you close it, for good?" Pete verifies.
"The breach itself is soaked in Void stuff. In the end it'll close itself. And that's it. Kaput."
"But you stay on this side? No way mister, No how. I'm not leaving you."
"Yes, you are, there is no other choice."
"Errr, hate to break this up, but if you stay, either of you," Mikey adds at the look Rose sends him, "you'll get pulled in too."
"That's why I got these." He holds up the magnaclamps. "I'll just have to hold on tight. I've been doing it all my life."
"I'm supposed to go." Rose repeats fury in every word. "To another world, and then it gets sealed off."
Jake tries to interview sending her a gentle message but Rose snaps at him to shut up out loud.
The Doctor has so much he wants to say but can't not here, there isn't enough time he takes hold of her arms kissing her temple he just says yes. Pete interrupts,
"We haven't got time to argue. The plan works. We're going. You too. All of us." He points at Jackie and Rose, knowing the two will be a problem.
Rose shakes her head refusing to leave the Doctor behind. Jackie speaks for the first time in a while, placing the medallion back in Pete's hands she tells him with sorrow in every word she won't leave without her daughter.
"Oh, my God. We're going!" Pete's had enough he puts the medallion around her neck. Jackie shoves him away.
"I've had twenty years without you, so button it. I'm not leaving her."
Turning away from the Doctor Rose takes her mother into her arms hugging her tightly, telling her she must go, go and have a new life with Pete. She tries to refuse again, but Rose stops her. "I've had a life with you for nineteen years, but then I met the Doctor, and all the things I've seen him do for me, for you, for all of us. For the whole stupid planet and every planet out there. He does it alone, mum. But not anymore, because now he's got me." She pulls away from the hug taking a step back to properly look at her mum. "I married him mum, not human vows no, but still till death do we part. There are so many things I wanted to tell you mum, so much I wish you could understand, but I won't leave him, and you shouldn't throw this second chance away, please mum go be happy. I'll be ok."
Both women are crying clinging to each other, they pull away wiping at their eyes as they try to compose themself the Doctor comes up behind Rose meeting Pete's eye, he slips the medallion around her neck. Rose gives a shout as Pete hits the button.
[Parallel Torchwood]
Rose lets out a shriek of frustration. Her eyes meet Jakes, she sends him a quick telepathic message to tell her mother everything when it's all over as she hits the button transporting herself back into her world.
[Lever room]
She lands next to the Doctor with a cocky "I think this is the on switch." She turns to him fury in her eyes as she throws the medallion away from her body "How dare you!"
"Once the breach collapses, that's it. You will never be able to see her again. Your own mother!"
"I made my choice a long time ago, and I'm never going to leave you, so stop trying to make me you dumb Time Lord, you and me that's it, there is no one else." Her chest is heaving she is in his face so angry, so hurt. "Don't you know, you daft alien wolves mate for life, you are it for me and there is nowhere else I'd ever choose to be."
Eyes blown wide by her confession he grabs her face pulling her in for a bruising kiss. Regrettably pulling away far too soon, pressing their foreheads together he whispers against her skin "We don't have time for this." Pulling him back down to her mouth she murmurs against his lips,
"I'm the goddess of Time and Space we'll make time." Smiling he pulls her in for one, two chaste kisses pulling away only when the computer chimes ready.
He steps away turning from her trying to regain his bearing, he points at the computer telling her to reset the coordinates. The cybermen are getting closer they need to work faster, the levers become operational just in time. The Doctor hold a Magnaclamp out to rose telling her how to attach it to the wall.
"When it starts, just hold on tight. Shouldn't be too bad for us but the Daleks and the Cybermen are steeped in Void stuff. Are you ready?" She nods fierce determination in her eyes. The Doctor pause hand on the Lever, letting go he strides towards Rose, she frowns in confusion "Doctor, what'."
He is kissing her as if it is there last night together and it scares her. Pulling away he cups her cheek gently, "You know I love you." She opens her mouth "Rose, I only tried to send you away because I wanted you to be happy."
She presses a hand to his chest right in between his hearts. Leaning up to kiss his cheek. "You have always made me happy. Now let's piss off my brother by sending Daleks and cybermen into his domain, you are so lucky he loves me, or he would kill you." She laughs grabbing for her lever again.
Both standing in place they pull their levers up, bringing the system online. They grab their Magnaclamps just in time. A bright light comes out of the breach and a strong wind rushes into it, sucking the first Daleks through the windows and into itself. Cybermen all over the world are lifted off their feet and into the air. There is a steady stream of Daleks and Cybermen all being sucked through the one broken window into the Void. Even the Ark is sucked back into the void.
Rose's lever starts to move, and the computer goes offline. The suction starts to decrease. Rose has to let go of the Magnaclamp to grab the lever and pull it, but she and it are being dragged the wrong way, she manages to pull in upright. And suction builds up again, she is being pulled towards the void, the Doctor can't reach her, and she can't reach the magnaclamp anymore.
Roses fingers finally slip from the lever handle she flies through the room and straight into the void. Seconds later the void closes in on itself.
[Void]
Rose feels like her head is on fire, as she tries to pull herself up only to find she has paws, lifting one to her face in wonder at the golden glow coming from it. She feels an amused mind brush against hers, looking up she comes face to face with the shadow wolf from Krop Tor 'Ulric, where, what'
'Sister would you care to explain the vile creature that are currently waring in my void.'
Laughter another mind joins them Ulric signs 'Lupa.' He turns and pads out the room. Rose has no choice but to follow struggling to keep up not used to walking on four feet. They find Lupa sprawled on his pedestal in the throne room his ethereal glow lights up the room,
'You were supposed to hold on you know.'
Rose glares at him. 'I told your mum everything, was coming through to talk to you but I felt your signature in here what happened, never mind it's obvious, what else is obvious is you weren't ready, I'm sorry sister. But your mum says when you're ready and can travel between worlds you are to visit, or she will find a way back through.
Ulric looks bemused 'I think I shall have to meet this human woman. Now as you had a hand it this too Lupa you can deal with that."
He lifts a white paw toward his chest, 'Brother I am but Life, I cannot condemn creatures to death.' Ulric growls at him. With a roll of his eyes Lupa closes his eyes. Sending Ulric a glare 'done' and then he is gone.
'I much preferred him in his other body, less attitude.'
'You know that's not it don't you, he needs Rafe, before he becomes too unstable, he awoke too soon the balance is off.'
'The same can be said about you sister, you need chaos.' Ulric pads over to her side nuzzling her gently 'but for now let your bond with your Time Lord calm you,' she tilts her head looking up at him unsure. 'use your bond feel the pull and send yourself back to him.'
'But Ulric you'll be alone again.'
'Sister I have been on my own for eons, yet I fear your Time Lord lost without you. And sister our pack will be reunited again when heaven and hell collide the hybrid shall be revealed.
Sooooo
Last chapter of the season what do we think, this is where we are going to go kinda off the plot. Also, I've decided to do the next part of the story separately from this just so it doesn't end up hundreds of chapters it will be separated by season. so lookout for a Timeless Rose.
