Chapter Text
Pacifica crawled back through the vent. She wasn’t sure what the situation was, but she knew it was important. Soon, she found herself back within the hanger. There, she saw him. Bigfoot was caught within the centre. As she looked upon, she noticed that he had his hands over his head. The big yeti was speaking to him.
“Sal. How surprising. I should have known you’d be in the need to raid our facility.”
“This is not a raid.” Bigfoot replied. “I’m simply recollecting my property.”
“Property?!” it yelled, slamming its fists onto the ground. “This is our merchandise, our stuff! You can’t take our stuff!”
“Trust me, Dior, I don’t want to touch your stuff; there’s not much to grab.”
“Well, that’s good to- hey!”
Pacifica watched the two negotiate, or whatever this was. She felt somewhat tense, she had no idea how she would get out of this. Bigfoot was there, he was cornered; he’d never fit through the vent. There had to be something. It was then she looked down.
The remote.
She considered it for a moment, then sighed. Whatever it did, it would not end well if she activated it too early. Pacifica looked back down at the feud.
“It is useless, Sal.” The big yeti continued. “We’ve had enough of your dwindling across the planet. The more companies we bribe, the less those filthy dark-furs like yourself don’t steal our goods.”
“We’ll see, Dior. We’ll see.”
As Pacifica watched, she felt unease. At any moment, this could turn violent. She had to step in. Without really thinking, she screamed at the top of her lungs.
“Wait!”
The yetis as well as Bigfoot turned to look up at her as she slid down the stairs. Bigfoot gave her a look of annoyance and disappointment, but Pacifica ignored it. She knew what to do.
“We surrender!” she spoke, raising he hands.
Dior narrowed his eyes at her. “Human. You are with this excuse for our kind?”
“I am, yes.” She replied. “But I didn’t come here for whatever prejudice-based feud you two have, I have my own reasons here.”
“Do you? And yet you thought you could go mooching around our fortress? he laughed.
Pacifica sighed. “You’re right. This was a mistake. That’s why I’m surrendering. We both are.”
“We are?” asked Bigfoot before getting a swift elbow.
“Well then.” Dior started. “I suppose that does it. I shall take you both to our cages. We’ll make good use of you.”
His grin made Pacifica want to hurl. He looked at her, smugly. Then, the blonde human grinned back at him before suddenly reaching for the remote. She pressed the button when to her own surprise, explosions erupted from around them. Everyone dropped to the ground. Dior tried to push himself onto his feet, but Pacifica responded with a kick to his face, knocking him back down.
Her and Bigfoot quickly rose before she turned back to her crate. She scavenged it, taking as many pot noodles as she could fit in her pockets and bag.
Without warning, she felt her arm be grabbed by the brown-furred creature beside her. Bigfoot took her across the snowy fields. As flames erupted around her, it wasn’t long until Pacifica saw the plane they had arrive on appear in front.
She noticed Bigfoot press his keys. It was then that the plane flew towards them.
“Jump!” she heard Bigfoot yell.
Pacifica leaped when the plane dropped below her. She landed on its wings as it began to rise. Bigfoot turned his head to her as he opened the cockpit.
“That was impressive.” He spoke, fondly. “But, I think you might have committed a war crime.
Pacifica shook her head and smirked.
“It got us out, didn’t it?” she replied.
It was then that the two heard clattering sounds on the side of the plane. Those sounds were louder than what had been heard before. As Pacifica looked out, she saw the yetis fire away at them.
“What? They have guns?!” she yelled.
“Well… yes!” replied Bigfoot as he began to crawl into the plane.
At that moment, there was a thud and Pacifica felt herself bounce to the end of the plane. She slid to the point where she was hanging off the edge of the plane’s wings. At this point, Bigfoot was inside, but it seemed he was slowing the plane down.
Pacifica looked up. Above her stood Dior, staring at her grimacingly.
It was then that some of the noodle packs began to fall from the human’s pockets as she struggled to stay on. The yeti looked down and eyed the packets that fell from her clothing. Pacifica watched him put two and two together in his mind.
“Wait.” He spoke, puzzled. “You- you did all this… for the noodles?”
As Pacifica opened her mouth to answer, she felt the plane tilt before sliding to its side. She slid down its wing. The woman felt herself loose momentum yet somehow, she managed to keep her grip. Dior himself fell back but latched on to the other side of the wing. Soon, Pacifica heard the plane’s cockpit open. Bigfoot spun over to her before grabbing her hand and pulling her up. She soon found herself back on the wing, just keeping herself balanced. She saw Dior climb up himself. However, it was then her ears were met with a loud bang. She watched as a hole was formed in the yeti; blood shot out as he dropped from the plane.
Pacifica stood in shock, she then turned to her companion who was now holding a pistol that smoked.
“What the hell was that?!” she burst out.
“What?” Bigfoot replied.
“You just- you killed him!”
“Yes?”
“Wha- but- why?!”
“Why wouldn’t I?”
Pacifica couldn’t be bothered to argue.
“Alright.” She said, fed up. “Let’s get out of here.”
It wasn’t long before the plane departed from the mountains. As she looked out of the window, Pacifica saw the mountain itself collapse. She wondered if she may have gone a little too far.
Before they knew it, they were back at the apartment complex.
Pacifica slowly walked out of the plane, without looking back, she sighingly walked back to her room. Suddenly, she heard her name be called and stopped.
“Hey” Bigfoot began. “You did good today. With the yetis out of business, I should be able to get a lot of my orders back here soon.”
Pacifica only nodded. As she turned back, Bigfoot continued.
“Look… it was a little reckless what you did, but- it worked. I guess you’re that type.”
Pacifica sighed. “Not really. I just- I just wanted to actually make impact, you know? All the time now, Dipper will go off and find all his magical bullshit and I all get to do is stay indoors and look at my rising debt.”
“Dipper?”
“My boyfriend.”
“Oh. Well… now you have a story to tell him. At the end of it all, you showed you can do just as well.”
Yeah.” Pacifica formed a smile. “I guess… I guess I did. It’s just- I wish he’d let me go with him. It’s not the same anymore…”
Bigfoot shook his head. “Maybe… maybe you can change that. Now, I have tenancies to rewrite. What’s say you get your rent reduced this month ey?”
Pacifica rolled her eyes. “Make it a year.”
