Chapter Text
Three Weeks Later, In Hexide's Cafeteria
"Food!"
Edric, standing on Amity's right, fed her a spoonful of slop from her lunch tray.
"Water!"
Emira, on Amity's left, lifted a glass of water to her sister's face so she could drink it.
"Thank you."
"So," Gus spoke from the opposite side of the table, "You're still pushing this, huh?"
"Whatever do you mean?" Amity asked with faux innocence, "I'm just a person who is incapable of doing anything herself. Meaning that I need others to do the simplest of things for me if I ever want to live."
"Ok, your point is painfully clear," said Willow, taking a seat next to Gus. "But I think even you have to admit that this is a little excessive."
"Do you want to be a part of this?"
"Nevermind."
"Yeah, I didn't think so."
"Actually, that's a good point," Edric responded, "Why aren't they doing this too? They helped!"
"They were pawns!" Amity exclaimed, "You two were the ringleaders, and therefore, you get punished...Also, Willow, Gus, I'm sorry for calling you both pawns. That wasn't nice."
"We get it."
"You're good."
"Yeah, but I wasn't the ringleader, though!" her brother argued, "Emira was in charge of the whole thing! I barely even contributed!"
"Hey, we're a package deal!" Emira told Edric, "We share birthdays, bedrooms, and punishments. It's twin law."
"Well, then I hate that law!"
"Plus , if someone hadn't opened their big mouth, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place!"
"Yeah, but--"
"Food!" Amity demanded, resulting in Edric shoveling another piece of slop into his master's mouth.
"Hiya, friends," Luz greeted as she slid into her seat right next to Amity. "And a very special hello to you, Hermosa."
Suddenly, Amity's frown got replaced by a sweet and serene smile.
"Hello to you too," she said, "Although I have no idea what 'hermosa' means."
"I'd tell you, but I don't know if your poor little heart could take it."
"Try me."
"As if the force-feeding isn't bad enough..." Emira grumbled.
"I can and will take away your speaking privileges again."
"..."
"...That's what I thought."
"So..." Luz gestured to the two troublemakers behind her, "I see that this is still happening."
"They meddled in our lives, and therefore they get punished," Amity reasoned. "And while I'm not complaining about the results, even you have to admit that you're upset about what they did."
"Not really," the human shrugged, "I'd probably do the same thing if it was any of them, to be honest. And besides, what is there to be angry about? Especially since it means that I have the most perfect witch in all the Isles as my girlfriend."
As Luz expected, a light blush appeared on Amity's cheeks.
"...Girlfriend?"
The reason, however, is what floored the human.
"Oh, um, uh, I mean, well," Luz began to stutter, "We have been dating for a while now. I j-just sort of assumed that...y'know...you know?"
"...Your punishment is now over," Amity told her siblings.
"Finally!"
"Thank you, Luz!"
"And as for you," Amity pointed at her girlfriend, "You got to stop being so perfect and cute all the time! I told you that I want to keep this relationship private with the rest of the school, and it's hard to do when I want to kiss you so badly for saying something so incredible."
"I can't help it," Luz chuckled, quickly bouncing back. "What can I say? I'm just so irresistible."
"That you are," the youngest Blight smiled, interlacing their fingers underneath the table.
"Ok, I might have to agree with Emira," Willow said, "While I'm happy for the both of you, I will admit that seeing you act all mushy is a bit..."
"Disgusting?" Gus supplied.
"Yeah, that."
"I don't care," Amity sighed wistfully.
"Me neither," Luz was quick to agree.
"Well, you probably should," Emira told them, "Because if the wrong person catches on to you lovebirds, I guarantee they won't be happy about it. Because if a group of friends joined forces to get you together, a group of enemies might want to tear you apart."
"Oh, please. Who would be that cruel?"

It all started on the same day, at 3:15 PM. School just ended, and Boscha walked into a cleared-out classroom with its club meeting canceled for the day. Or, at least, the room would have been cleared out aside from her lackeys.
They were all chatting amongst themselves right up until she shut the door to announce her arrival.
"Alright, everyone shut up and listen up," Boscha's tone was characteristically stern, "I brought you all here because Amity is clearly dating that human. Which is gross and disgusting. And I decided that we're all going to work together on breaking them up. Any questions?"
Skara raised her hand.
"Yes, Skara?"
"Is this a jealousy thing?"
"NO, IT IS NOT A JEALOUSY THING!"
