Chapter Text
Michael’s excited! He finally gets to go to one of his dad's special meetings!
Usually they would make him stay home with a babysitter but because this was an smp meeting no one was left to babysit him, they were all going as well.
“Okay Michael, you need to be on your best behavior alright. This is a very important meeting.” Ranboo says smoothly.
“Okay!”
“He’s fine Boo, stop being a worrywart,” Tubbo teases, “He won’t even be in the room.”
“I’m not-... It’s not Michael I’m worried about.” Ranboo sighs.
“The meeting?” Tubbo asks tentatively.
“Yes, there’s only ever been two ‘gatherings’ like this that everyone on the smp were required to go to. One when we put Dream in prison, and the one after he… got out.”
“...True,” Tubbo responds, “But it’s probably nothing that drastic.”
The three are nearly at the community house when they spot a familiar blonde.
“Tommy!” Tubbo yells, running over.
“Hey big man!” He responds with a grin.
“Tommy!” Michael echoes.
“Hey Michael, Ranboo.”
“Hi” Ranboo responds curtly.
“Someone doesn’t look too happy.” Tommy teases.
“He’s just nervous about the meeting,” Tubbo answers for him.
“Don't worry big man!” Tommy exclaims, “I’m pretty sure Techno called this meeting. So it’s probably about someone stealing his potatoes again.”
“Oi!” George yells to them, “The meeting’s starting, hurry up!”
They rush over to find the community house packed to the brim. Looking around, they spot Phil, Techno, and Niki on the other side of the room near the staircase.
“Come on,” Tommy beckons before shoving the people nearest him aside.
“Tommy!” Purpled yells as he’s pushed into Fundy.
“Sorry!” Ranboo apologizes for him, picking Michael up and quickly following.
“Hey guys!” Niki calls when they finally make it over to them.
“Hey Niki!” Tubbo responds energetically.
“There you all are. Come on, I set a room up for Michael upstairs.” Phil says, turning towards the stairs. Ranboo follows with Michael in his arms.
Michael starts squirming and pushing against Ranboos chest as they near the staircase.
“No! I wanna stay!”
“Michael, you can’t stay. This is an adult meeting.”
“But I wanna see” He wines dramatically.
“I know but it will be really boring.” Ranboo continues, walking up the stairs.
“You don’t know that!”
“Yes, I do”
“Here it is,” Phil interrupts, opening a large door.
“Thanks,” Ranboo responds, shuffling into the room and placing Michael softly on the floor. He kneels down so they’re eye level and gently puts his hands on his cheeks.
“Michael, I know you want to see the meeting, But it’s too grown up for you. I don’t want you to hear something bad. And besides, it’s going to be really boring, trust me.”
Michael looks down.
“Hey,” Ranboo says gently, moving to meet his eyes again, “It will only be a few minutes, Tubbo and I will be up here in no time. So please don’t leave this room unless it's an emergency, okay?”
Micheal’s lips twist into a frown, “...okay”
“Thank you,” Ranboo responds, smiling. He stands back up and walks to Phil, still waiting at the door.
“We’ll be back soon!” He calls before closing the door and walking back down the stairs.
Michael looks around the room slowly, taking it in. There were a few toys and snacks scattered about but overall the room was really empty and- “Ugh,” Michael groans aloud, laying down on the floor. “Really boring.”
~~~~~
“You know, you’re a really good dad.” Phil comments as they walk down the stairs.
“Thanks, I try.” Ranboo replies, grimacing.
“Tough love is hard, but he needs it.”
“Ya… I- he just-... he hates being alone… and bored.” Ranboo finishes curtly.
“Haha what?” Phil laughs.
“He hates being bored, and being alone makes him ansty and upset. And I just left him in a room by himself with like, three toys and a few crackers.”
“Who doesn’t love crackers?”
Ranboo shrugs in response as they step off the staircase.
“He’ll be fine, we’ll be done in no time. And besides, you’re doing a much better job at parenting than I did. I mean, look how Wil- Ghostbur turned out.” Phil says dryly.
“Hey!” Ghostbur protests.
“How’s Michael?” Tubbo interruptus.
“He’s okay,” Ranboo responds, walking up to him.
“By the way, where’s Dream?” Niki asks.
“I dunno, I haven’t seen him.” Ghostbur answers.
“Should we ask Sapnap or Bad?”
“Nah, he’s fine”
“How do you know?”
“Well he’s a ghost for starters.” Ghostbur says cheekily.
“Isn’t he supposed to be here though? It’s a server wide meeting.” Ranboo asks.
“I made sure he wouldn’t come.” Techno says ominously.
“What did you do?!” Phil demanded, smacking Techno’s arm.
“Ow! I just sent him to get wood and stone for a few hours!”
“Why can’t he be here?” Tommy butts in.
“I just don’t know how he’ll react... or how the others will.”
“What does that mea-?”
“Excuse me everyone! We need to begin.” Eret announces from a platform in the center of the room. “Is everyone here? ...Good. First I’d like to ask that everyone refrain from making irrational decisions after what I say and after this meeting.”
The occupants of the room shift uncomfortably, preparing for the worst.
“Alright, we believe that there have been sightings and evidence of Sam still on the smp.”
“What?!” Sapnap explodes, along with a few others.
“Wait, wait! Calm down! We think it’s Sam.” Eret rushes
“What do you mean?” Puffy asks.
“A few people found remnants of burned clothes that appear to be his warden attire and Techno believes he saw him in the woods a few weeks ago.”
“A few weeks ago?!”
“I wasn’t sure if it was really Sam at the time and didn’t want to cause unnecessary panic.” Techno answers.
“Well look what good that did!” George snaps.
“Hey calm down, we know now, and that’s what’s important.” Eret placated.
“So you don’t know for sure that it was Sam?” Skeppy asks Techno.
“No, not for sure , but I’m almost positive that it was.”
“But there’s still the chance that it could not be him?”
“...Yes”
“Excellent! So please, once again, calm down . I’m looking at you Sapnap.” Eret says, eyeing the seething man wearily. “We called this meeting to decide what we should do with this information.”
“We should go look for Sam! Where Techno saw him.” Sapnap demands.
“Where Techno might have seen him.” Jack corrects, “And I don’t think we should.”
“Why?” Karl asks, placing a calming hand on Sapnap’s shoulder.
“What I mean is, maybe we shouldn’t go scouring the forest right away looking for Sam who we don’t even know is really there.” Jack continues.
“But Techno said he’s almost positive he saw him.” Bad argues.
“But even if it was Sam… it’s been more than half a year since Techno killed him and he disappeared… he hasn’t done anything problematic since then, he’s completely left us alone. If he is out there, he isn’t doing anything bad to us, why should we go attack hi-” Puffy thinks out-loud.
“What are you talking about Puffy?! He killed Dream!” George cuts her off, outraged.
“... Quackity killed Dream.” She says quietly.
“Sam had just as much a hand in it! Puffy, What is with your mixed morals and ideologies?!” Sapnap yells.
“Guys, tone it dow-” Phil tries.
“I could say the same thing about you!” Puffy counters.
“Oh ya?!” Sapnap challenges.
“Ya! Want me to give you a list of all the contradictions and f**ed up decisions you’ve made?!
“Guys!”
“Sure! Throw ‘em at me!” Sapnap mocks.
“Okay! How about when you believed Tommy over your own ‘best friend’ and betrayed him?! How about when you threatened to kill said ‘best friend’? Huh?!”
“GUYS!” Phil screams, moving between the two, “This is not what we’re here to discuss!”
Sapnap and Puffy back away, looking seconds away from murdering the other. “We’ve all made mistakes, and now is not the time to broadcast them!” Phil continues, “Now, if you’re ready to act like adults and work together with all of us to come to a decision, great. If not, the door is open.”
That seemed to quell the argument, causing Puffy and Sapnap to look away embarrassedly.
“Lovely,” Eret sighs in relief, nodding thanks to Phil, “Does anyone have any…uh calmer ideas?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michael could hear shouting coming from downstairs.
Turning away from his crackers, he makes his way over to the door and puts his ear against it, trying to make out what the shouting voices were saying.
“‘The meeting will be boring’ my butt” Michael quotes bitterly under his breath.
No matter how hard he tries, he can't make out what the voices are saying. Sighing frustratedly, he turns away from the door and walks to the window.
Perfect weather to visit the creek. Or go frog hunting with dad . Michael thinks bitterly, staring longingly outside.
He sighs again, squishing his face against the window, gasping when the glass shifts. Pulling back he studies the window questioningly, lightly putting his hand against it and pushing. The glass immediately falls out of the frame and careens down to the earth, shattering on impact.
Michael flinches at the sound of breaking glass, sticking his head out to assess the damage.
“That wasn’t built very well.” He whispers.
After making sure the glass didn’t hit anyone he waits quietly for someone to come barging through the door, demanding to know what happened. He relaxes after a few minutes when no one does.
Michael sticks his head out the window again, this time to study the tree little more than a foot away.
It was sturdy looking, much taller than the community house. If he wanted to, Michael could jump onto the nearest branch and climb down the tree completely fine.
... if he wanted to… which he doesn’t....
He looks back at the big empty room then back at the tree.
“No. I can’t” Michael says to himself.
He sighs, turning away from the window but stops when something in the tree catches his eye.
A cat, staring right at him.
It holds his gaze for a moment before jumping down and out of the tree. When it touches the floor it looks back up at him, meowing loudly.
Michael bites his lip, debating his options. He could leave and play with the cat for a few minutes, then climb back up the tree and into the room before his parents found out. But what if the meeting ends early and they find out he climbed out the window?
The cat was obviously not patient enough to wait for him to come to a conclusion. With one last meowl it turns and begins to walk away.
“Wait!” Michael calls to it. He quickly runs into the room, grabs the rest of his crackers, and starts to climb out the window. He was never very good at climbing trees ‘cause his parents didn’t like it when he did, but luckily he got down with only a slightly bleeding scratch on his arm.
He smiles widely when his feet finally touch the ground.
Turning to the glass first, he walks over to inspect it for a moment but stops when he notices the small puddle of blood he was leaving on it from the scrape on his arm. Stepping away from the glass he looks up to find the cat a few feet away, waiting for him.
When he walks forward to pet it, it jerks and runs away.
“Hey, wait!” He yells, chasing after it.
It took Michael a minute to realize this was a game, but he understood once the cat darted under his legs, then half way up a tree, the back under his legs.
“I’m gonna get you!” He giggles.
The cat zips past him and Michael gives chase. But no matter how hard he tries or how fast he runs he cannot touch the cat for the life of him.
Finally after quite some time, he starts closing in until he’s only a foot away from it. He reaches his hand out to touch it, but right as he’s about to it sprints away, leaving him in the dust.
Face falling, he trips and lands hard, scraping his hands and knees.
Tears well up in his eyes from the pain and he sits down to inspect the damage.
Dad’s not going to be happy about this , He thinks miserably, I need to go back.
Standing up, he looks around for the community house or prime path, but can’t see it anywhere.
He studies his surroundings but doesn’t recognize a single thing. His breath begins to pick up when he realizes, he's lost.
“Oh no. Oh no no no.” Michael panics turning around in circles, “Where am I?”
His knees give out as the tears he tried to hold bay streak down his cheeks.
“Oh no.” He cries.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What do you want this time?” Dream asks dejectedly.
Hope just looks innocently up at him.
“What? Tell it to me straight! I’m not gonna just follow you into the woods again, you’ve lost that privilege.”
She hisses in response.
“Nope, not this time girly. Now come on, we still need to get more wood for Techno.” He says, walking away.
Hope begins pawing at his leg.
“No”
She winds around his feet, curling her tail around his calf.
“Nuh uh”
She then rushes in front of him and stops suddenly, causing him to trip.
“Ack Hey!”
She meows loudly, staring up at him.
“Hope! You’ve been gone for the last half hour! Did you come back just to annoy me?”
She stares him dead in the eye, not moving a muscle. Dream stares right back.
He sighs frustratedly when he blinks first and could’ve sworn he saw Hope smirk, knowing she won.
“Fine! But only for a few minutes. Techno bet I couldn’t get enough wood and stone to build a house in two hours and I’m not about to lose cuz you’re bored.”
She meows happily and starts to lead him away and Dream does what he usually does when walking through the woods: picking up random junk and weaving them together, this time it was dandelions and grass.
He’s adding the last few dandelions when Hope bats at his foot to get his attention. Looking up he sees her speed away.
“Ugh!” He complains before running after her.
When Dream finally catches up, he prepares to lecture her about always leaving him behind but stops suddenly when he hears something.
Taking a few quiet steps forward he realizes it’s crying. He quickly walks closer to Hope and finds a small child curled up on the ground alone.
His hands tighten around the dandelion crown and he cautiously takes a few steps closer to the child.
“Hello?” He calls quietly.
The kid's head jerks up at him, eyes wide.
“Are you okay?” Dream asks calmly.
The boy looks down and wipes the tears off his face, nodding slightly.
Dream pauses for a second before continuing, “Are you lost?”
The boy nods again.
Dream gives him a second to calm down before sitting next to him. “What’s your name?”
“... Michael.” He whispers.
“Hi Michael, I’m Dream. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of you, your dad’s are Tubbo and Ranboo right?”
Michael perks up at the mention of his parents, “Yes.”
“Oh cool,”
“I- I think I’ve heard of you too.”
“Really?”
“Ya”
“That makes sense, it’s kinda strange to be friends with a ghost.”
“What?”
“A ghost, I’m a ghost.”
“A ghost?”
“Yep, Look!” Dream says before floating off the ground a few inches.
“Like Ghostbur!”
“Ya! Like Ghostbur,” Dream says with a grin.
Hope bounds over and into Dreams lap when he lands back on the ground, shifting into a comfortable position.
Michael gasps when he sees her, eyeing her wearily.
“You know Hope?” Dream asks tentatively.
“Kinda, she- she led me here.”
“She did?”
“Yes”
“And left?!”
Michael nods.
“Wha- Hope! It’s one thing to lead me into the woods and get us lost, but a child?! Nuh uh.” He lifts one of his legs, knocking her to the side. She hisses and bats his leg in response.
“I’m so sorry Michael, please never follow or look at her again. She’s a nuisance.” Dream says. Hope claws his leg in response, “Ow! Hey!”
Michael giggles at their antics, tears long gone.
You know I’ve never met a zombie piglin before.” Dream comments.
“Ya…”
“It’s really cool, you look really bada- awesome” Dream corrects.
“Thanks,” Michael smiles.
...
“Do you like dandelions?” Dream asks randomly.
“Yes…”
“Great!” He exclaims before placing the flower crown on the piglins head.
Michael touches it lightly, “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome,” Dream smiles.
Michael continues to touch and inspect it for a few seconds.
“So why’d you follow Hope all the way out here?” Dream asks.
Michael shrugs, “I was… bored.”
“Bored?”
“Ya”
“Well… you still bored?”
“Eh- a little.”
Dream grins mischievously, “I can fix that.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So we agree to send a few people to look around the area in which Sam was thought to have been spotted?” Eret asks.
“Yes”
“Great, I’m going to go over our decision one last time,” Eret announces, “We send a few people to scout the area Techno might’ve seen Sam and where the burned warden clothes were found. If someone does find Sam they will not hurt or kill him unless he attacks them. We will put him in prison along with Quackity. If you think you see Sam or anything pertaining to him, tell me or Phil immediately. And please do not tell Dream about any of this, we are still not sure how his memories work and we don’t want to trigger him or something. Alright, I can’t believe it took us that long to get to this conclusion but whatever, the meetings adjourned.”
Ranboo sighs heavily. Eret was right, this meeting took way longer than it should have.
“Hey,” Niki says, touching his arm “Do you guys want to come to my house for dinner with Techno, Phil and Ghostbur?”
“Oh hell, yes please.” Tommy wines dramatically.
“That would be great Niki, thanks!” Tubbo grins.
“I need to get Michael real quick.” Ranboo says.
“Of course,” Niki responds.
Ranboo turns towards the stairs but stops when he feels a hand grab his. “I’ll go with you,” Tubbo says, walking up to him.
“Okay,” Ranboo smiles.
Tubbo skips up the stairs, dragging Ranboo behind him, “You know, I think we’ve got this platonic husbandry thing down to T!” Tubbo exclaims.
“You think?”
“Ya! We’re the best.”
Ranboo just laughs and lets Tubbo drag him to Michael's room.
They stop in front of it and knock a few times before entering, “Michael, we’re done! Sorry it took so … long.”
The room was completely empty save for the few toys left untouched around the room.
“Ranboo,” Tubbo says urgently, pointing to the open window. They rush over to find it not open, but broken with the glass shattered outside on the ground. “Ranboo” Tubbo squeals again, pointing to the small puddle of blood on the glass.
“Come on,” Ranboo says urgently, taking Tubbos hand again and running out the door and down the stairs.
“Ranboo wha-” Phil questions as the two push past him and out the door.
They rush over to the glass pile, The others hot on their heels.
“What? What happened?” Tommy asks.
“I don’t know but Michael’s not in his room and the window is broken and there’s blood!” Tubbo shrieks, eyes welling with tears.
“The window’s broken? Did he break out?” Techno asks Ranboo.
“I don’t know, I- I think he fell out! Look at the blood!” Ranboo panics.
“Hey, hey calm down. If Michael fell out of the window there would be a lot more blood and he would still be in the glass. I’m pretty sure he broke the window and climbed out.” Techno says calmly.
“Techno’s right. Look at this tree, there’s blood on it. Michael definitely climbed down it.” Phil commends.
“But he’s still injured in some way, we need to find him.” Ranboo argues.
“Yes we do. Tommy, go tell everyone who’s still around to look for Michael.” Phil commands.
“So the whole smp then?” Tommy asks rhetorically before zipping away.
“Don’t worry, Michael’s going to be fine. We’ll find him.” Ghostbur tells the panicking couple.
“We should’ve checked in on him. We shouldn’t have left him alone for so long.” Tubbo wails.
“You couldn’t have known the meeting would take that long, this isn’t your fault.” Niki says gently.
“Okay I told everyone, they’re looking.” Tommy says, pointing to a few people already walking around calling Michaels name.
“Great, let’s start looking,” Phil says, “Tubbo, Ranboo, Tommy, and Niki, you guys search together in a group. Ghostbur and I will fly around and Techno… can do whatever he wants.”
The group nods and splits off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“RUN RUN RUN!” Dream screams, grabbing Michaels hand and sprinting away.
“THAT WAS A BAD IDEA! BAD, BAD IDEA !!” Michael shrieks
Dream looks behind them to see the wave of angry bees closing in.
“HOLD ON!” Dream warns before picking Michael up and floating away faster then they could run. Michael, with a clear view of the angry bees behind them, screeches as they zoom through the air; Whereas Dream cackles in glee, watching as the bees disappear from view. He flies a bit farther just to be safe before touching down.
Michael falls to the ground as soon as Dream lets him go, panting heavily.
“That was awesome!” Dream yells.
“No… that was… so dumb! ...Not worth it.” Michael chokes out between breaths.
“Honey straight from the hive is so good Micheal, you have no idea. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity!” Dream exclaims.
“We nearly died!”
“Well, technically speaking
you
almost died. And you’re already kinda partly dead so- ya sorry.” Dream trails off when met with Michael’s unimpressed stare.
“Where’s Hope?” Michael asks as Dream sits down next to him.
“Eh somewhere.” He answers vaguely.
“Aren’t you worried?”
“Not in the slightest.”
“What?” Michael asks, confusedly.
“She’s a little devil whose sole purpose is to cause chaos. She never gets lost, is already dead, and can fly. I’m more worried about anyone who encounters her.”
“... I- ya I can see that.” Michael replies, thinking back on the day.
Dream lays down on his back in the grass, “I really wish we could’ve gotten some of that honey though.” He wines.
“Next time” Micheal replies.
“Heh, ya.”
They fall quiet, enjoying the moment.
“Hey, there’s lots of flowers around. Wanna learn how to make flower crowns?” Dream asks.
“Heck ya!” Michael exclaims.
“Sweet, come here.” Dream smiles, picking the nearest daisy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“There he is! Wait no- no that’s just a zombie.” Tommy trails off, killing said zombie.
“Maybe we should look more West.” Niki suggests.
“Which way is that?” Tommy asks.
“That way,” Techno answers, pointing to their left. He decided to join the little group after running into them forty minutes into the search.
“We already checked over there.” Ranboo rebukes.
“I don’t mean head straight over there, I mean turn more in that direction.” Niki responds.
“How about we travel in this direction for a few more minutes and then turn more West.” Tubbo suggests.
“Sure,” Techno responds curtly.
As the search waxed on with no sight of Michael, Tubbo and Ranboo had become increasingly irksome and anxious. It was, of course, understandable but it still caused unnecessary arguments and fighting to occur.
“Tommy, please stop!” Ranboo explodes.
“What? What am I doing?”
“You’re dragging your feet!”
“What’s wrong with that?!”
“It’s annoying! And it’s tearing up the grass!”
“What the hell?! Why are you-”
“Tommy,” Techno interrupts, “Just don’t.”
“No! I’m tired of all of his shit complaints!” Tommy yells.
“Tommy, his son is missing.”
“I know! And I’m helping find him, so why’s he getting mad at me?!”
“Tommy,” Tubbo warns.
“Not you too!” Tommy screams, throwing his hands up.
“Uh guys,” Niki starts.
“You need to calm down Big man. And stop being such a prat.” Tubbo continues.
“Tell that to Ranboo!”
“GUYS!” Niki screams before sprinting away towards an already running Techno.
“What… OH MY!” Tommy shrieks.
A huge swarm of angry bees come zooming in their direction, hot on their heels as they turn and sprint away.
“WHAT HAPPENED? WHY ARE THEY ANGRY?” Tubbo screams.
“I DON’T KNOW,” Niki yells back to them.
Finally after a few minutes they out run the bees, falling to their knees in exhaustion.
“Since- since when… have bees… been so fast?” Tommy asks between breaths.
Techno can only shake his head in response.
They lay in a scattered group, trying to catch their breaths.
“Wait… quiet, everyone quiet!” Tubbo yells.
“What, you mean stop breathing?” Tommy counters.
“So loudly, yes.”
It gradually falls quiet as Tubbo stands up, Ranboo quickly following.
“What?” Ranboo asks softly.
“Do you hear that?” Tubbo responds.
…
Just barely, he can hear the sounds of distant voices.
The two make eye-contact for half a second before sprinting in their direction.
“Hey!” Tommy calls after them.
They pay the others no mind, focused solely on the laughter they hear getting louder and louder.
“Michael?” Tubbo cries out.
“
Dad?”
They round a hill and jerk to stop, shocked by the sight in front of them.
Michael and Dream, sitting cross legged, surrounded and covered head to toe in… flower crowns?
Michael jumps up, “DAD!” He shouts running over to them, flower crowns flying behind him. They meet him halfway in a hug.
“You’re okay, oh you’re okay.” Tubbo rambles, crying lightly.
“I’m okay,” Michael confirms, squeezing them tighter.
“Thank heavens,” Ranboo sighs.
They stay there for a moment, soaking each other in and catching their breaths.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. I followed Hope out the window and got lost in the woods but then Dream found me.” Michael says, breaking away to look at said ghost.
Dream stood up slowly, trying not to damage the dozens of flower crowns wrapped around him.
“Dream?” Ranboo questions.
“Ya, he taught me how to do a cartwheel and then he dropped a bee nest trying to get honey and he taught me how to make flower crowns. See!” He says, lifting his arms draped in flowers.
“Well that explains the bees,” Techno says behind them, having finally caught up.
Tubbo pulls away and rushes at an unsuspecting Dream, tackling him to the ground in a hug.
“ACK!” He shrieks, landing hard.
“Thank you, Dream. Thank you” Tubbo whispers sincerely.
Dream smiles, reciprocating the hug
Ranboo suddenly lands on top of the two crushing them in an even tighter hug. “Thank you Dream!”
“Oh ho, you’re heavy.” Dream wheezes.
“Me too!” Michael exclaims, jumping on top of the pile.
“Hoo my gosh.” Dream gasps. “Thank you for your love…but you’re killing me.”
“My turn!” Techno calls.
“NO! NO NO!” Dream screams, “TECHNO DON’T YOU DARE. I’LL ACTUALLY DIE.”
“You’re dead dipshit.” Techno drawls, slowly drawing closer.
“NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!” Dream squirms, “NIKI STOP HIM!”
“Aye aye,” She responds, blocking Techno from the hug pile.
“Aww,” Techno wines dramatically, knowing full well he could get past Niki if he wanted to.
“Oh you’re a God send Niki!” Dream sighs.
Ranboo and Tubbo get off of the rumpled Dream and help pull him to his feet.
“Thanks,” Dream says, fixing his askew flower crowns.
“No, thank you for finding Michael”
“It was no problem. It was kinda my fault he got lost anyway cuz Hope was the one who led him out the window in the first place but-” Dream cuts off when Tommy punches his stomach.
“Good Job Big man.”
“Wh- what was that for?” He chokes.
“My way of congratulating people I don’t like.”
“...Thanks”
“Dream, Dream! Niki wants to know how to make flower crowns too!” Michael interrupts, grabbing Dream’s hand and pulling him away.
“Nuh uh young man, you’re still in trouble. I know you didn’t mean to get lost but you did leave the house when I asked you not to.” Ranboo says.
Michael lets go of Dream’s hand and solemnly walks towards his parents.
“We’ll teach Niki next time alright.” Dream says, smiling.
“Next time?”
“Ya! Next time you wanna hang out, bring Niki. She can help us get honey too.”
“I’m sorry, what?” Niki asks.
“Okay!” Michael giggles. “How about tomorrow?”
“Nope, you’re grounded for the next few days.” Tubbo cuts in.
“On Saturday then!” Dream grins.
“Saturday!” Michael echoes.
“Come on, let’s head back before it gets dark,” Tommy says, “I’ll message Phil and tell him we found Michael.”
On Michaels request, they gathered all of the many flower crowns, and headed home.
~~~~~
“You owe me two diamonds.” Techno declares.
“What?!” Dream asks.
“You lost our bet, so you owe me diamonds.”
“I did not! I have just enough wood and stone to build a house.”
“Ya, sure” Techno replies sarcastically.
“I do! You never specified how big the house had to be.”
“Whatever I still win.”
“Uh No.”
