Chapter Text
It had taken some doing to coax Aurelia out of the warm blankets of their bed and into the shower, and Derek ended up carrying her out in a warm, fuzzy towel. Before she was even completely awake, she realized that she was sitting up on the counter, in a cute bunny hoodie with floppy ears on the hoodie, watching him cook bacon and pancakes.
“I can cook, you know. I fended for myself before I met you.” He huffed at her blatant skepticism, but the slight uplift in his voice gave away the fact he was teasing, as well as the fact that she gave her a small smile.
“And I saw your fridge the first time I stayed over. I swear the milk could have opened the door and let itself out.”
Aurelia squealed as he growled, pouncing on her, tickling her cheek with his nose as he burrowed against her neck.
“Take that back! It was only a few days past due.”
She giggled, letting him nose his way across her neck. When he pulled away, to make sure nothing was burning, she let a hand rest against his neck. He sighed in happiness, leaning into the touch.
“It is too early in the morning for so much mushiness,” Jackson said, yawning as he emerged from the bedroom.
“Well, I had to think of one way to get all of you up. You guys slept through the alarm and Aurie’s abstinent assessment that she didn’t need to shower and put on some real clothes,” Derek said, noting the fact that the whole pack was piling out of the room. Once he got breakfast on the table, Lydia came in and made herself at home on Jackson’s lap.
Derek walked over and sat down, pulling Aurelia into his lap. She smiled and offered him some of her bacon, which made him smile. This was home, his pack, and he could get used to more mornings like this.

A crack of a twig was the only warning she got. The next second, Aurelia was tumbling through the undergrowth of the forest, landing breathless on her back with the warm weight of a werewolf on top of her and teeth at her throat. A kiss, a nip. She suppressed the urge to giggle at the familiar attack mode that Derek used when they played this game.
“You know,” her mate murmured, “there are all sorts of monsters in these woods. You should be more careful.” The werewolf pressed his hands easily to the grass above her head with impossible strength. “You could get in trouble.”
“Oh, am I in trouble now?” she twisted her head for a kiss, smothering a grin against Derek’s lips. “All the big bad wolves and girls in red coats. Whatever will you do with me?”

John, Melissa, Derek, Aurelia, Peter, and Chris all sat together at the graduation ceremony. As the months had passed, and the supernatural occurrences were taken care of before they became a problem for the town, the humans and the pack had become even closer. The pack had accepted several new members, including a kitsune named Kira and a young Beta named Liam. Aurelia had taken them in and accepted them, leaving Derek no choice but to grow to love them.
“Boyd, Vernon.”
“Lahey, Issac.”
“Martin, Lydia.”
“McCall, Scott.”
“Reyes, Erica.”
“Stilinski, Mic...Mieczy...Stiles!”
Everyone chuckled as Stiles stumbled across the stage, a bright smile on his face. John shook his head and smiled, glad his son was graduating and wasn’t dead.
“Whittemore, Jackson.”
“Yukimura, Kira.”
After the graduation ceremony was over, the adults of the group made their way down to the graduates. Aurelia was immediately pounced on by Issac and Erica, making her smile as she hugged them both.
“Well, we did it, we actually survived high school,” Scott said, pulling Stiles against him.
Stiles hummed, smiling up at his mate.
---8 years later--------------------------------------------------------------------
“Daddy!”
Derek laughed as he felt two little body’s hit his legs as he walked in the door from work. He had gone into business with Scott, running an animal clinic and nonprofit center for animals in Beacon Hills. After Aurelia had found out that Deaton was trying to reactive the dormant Nogitsune that was hidden within the Nemeton, she had gotten the council to remove him from the area. He looked down and found his four-year-old twins giggling up at him.
“Natalia, Leander, let your father into the house before you pounce. Have you learned nothing from your pouncing lessons with Uncle Peter?” Aurelia said, walking into the entryway.
She had their youngest, six-month-old Skylar, in her arms. The infant giggled as he looked at his father, fist in his mouth. Unlike his siblings, Skylar was not a wolf, but a witch, like his mother.
“Uncle Peter sayed that Daddy can’t ‘uspect us. Did you?” Natalia asked, looking up at her father.
“Nope, I didn’t suspect a thing. Hello, little cubs, were you good for your Mama today?”
Derek leaned down and lifted both children up, making them laugh again.
“Always good, silly Daddy,” Leander said, laying his head on Derek’s shoulder.
“Uh-huh, Uncle Peter and Grandpa John would disagree with that one. Hello, my love.”
Aurelia smiled and accepted the kiss he pressed to her lips.
“Hello, Big Bad Wolf. Your children were very well behaved, this little monster on the other hand.”
Skylar giggled again, turning his big, green eyes to look from parent to parent. Derek put the twins down and watched them dart off, taking the infant from his mate.
“What did you do, cub?” He asked, blowing a raspberry on his cheek.
Skylar let out a loud cackle in response.
“He decided that his bowl of cereal needed to be on his sister’s head, so he sent it there.”
Derek tried not to laugh, and he could see the small smile that spread across his wife’s face, but he failed.
A few hours later, they had a backyard full of pack members. After they had all gone off to college, they had all gravitated back to Beacon Hills and to their pack. Stiles and Scott were the first of the teenagers to acquire a child, a little girl from one of the packs they had encountered. Claudia was now three, and you would never be able to guess that she was not their child biologically. She was also an unusual mix of Spark and wolf, which probably helped. Lydia and Jackson had a two-year-old little girl, Serenity, that was the spitting image of her mother but had Jackson’s magic. Issac and the twins had the most children, even though their acquisition of the two sets of twins was a little odd. One-year-old Irina and Ashton were born to the same pack just moments apart, but they were abandoned because they weren’t wolves. Issac, who could feel magic because of his closeness to Aurelia, had been pulled to them. Ashton formed a closer attachment to Aiden, while Irina was closer to Ethan. Meanwhile, Annelise and Elijah were each found by Ethan and Aiden, respectfully, and brought home to their mate, the same day he had brought home Irina and Ashton.
“So, Big Bad Wolf, is this what you imagined when we decided to come back here, all those years ago?” Aurelia asked, pressing herself against Derek’s side as they watched their twins pounce on Peter, while Skylar looked on from the safety of Chris’ arms.
“No, this is so much better,” Derek replied, pressing a kiss to the side of her head.
