Chapter Text
"Anakin," Obi-Wan said softly as he shook Anakin's shoulder gently.
"Wake up," he whispered and watched as Anakin groaned, squeezing his eyes shut before opening them.
"Is the ship under attack?" He mumbled as he rubbed his eyes but made no attempt to get up.
"No," Obi-Wan replied with a chuckle, "but we are back on Coruscant, and I'd imagine that you'd prefer to sleep in your bed at the temple."
Anakin huffed, closing his eyes again before slowly pushing himself up, sighing as he did so. The blanket that was covering him now pooled around his waist, and his hair was sticking up in several different directions, some curls flattened out from being pressed against the pillow, others now frizzy and messy.
"Feeling any better?" Obi-Wan asked, knowing that the last time that he asked the same question was a little under twelve hours ago, and there probably wasn't much of a change. Anakin still looked flushed, the parts of his face that weren't red were paler than usual, and the dark circles under his eyes were more pronounced than before.
Anakin shrugged, crossing his arms over his chest and wrapping them around his torso. His shoulder were hunched, and he sighed again.
"I'll take that as a 'no'," Obi-Wan noted and Anakin shrugged again.
"I'm tired," Anakin replied, his voice cracking as he looked at Obi-Wan and then yawned.
"Well it's a good thing that you'll be back in our quarters soon enough."
The ride up, back to their shared apartment was mostly uneventful. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were happily chatting away about a HoloDrama that she had been watching, while Anakin did his best to focus on their voices, and not the fact that he couldn't tell if he was going to throw up or pass out first.
"You alright, Master?" Ahsoka asked as Anakin pressed his forehead against the cool glass of the lift, exhaling through his nose as he did so.
"I'm hanging in there," Anakin muttered as he squeezed his eyes shut, trying not to gag as the lift came to a stop faster than he would have liked.
"You look like you are about to be sick," Obi-Wan remarked and Anakin opted to not comment and not open his mouth instead.
"He already is," Ahsoka muttered with a smirk and walked out of the lift, Anakin and Obi-Wan following behind her.
The walk was a blur in Anakin's mind, with being more focused on putting one foot in front of the other, he forgot mostly about anything else. And when the front door opened, he promptly made his way to his room, the door sliding shut behind him as he collapsed onto his bed.
He wasn't sure how long he had been laying there, or how long his eyes had been closed, but he did know that someone was shaking his shoulder. Again.
"Not now, Obi-Wan," Anakin muttered as he tried to move away, wishing that he had at least bothered to get under the covers first so that he could pull them over his head.
"You should eat something," Obi-Wan pointed out and Anakin shook his head, pressing it further into the pillow.
"Later," he muttered and Obi-Wan sighed.
"Later, but I will hold you to that, Anakin," Obi-Wan replied and Anakin heard the door slide open and closed again as Obi-Wan left.
He sat up, the room spinning much more than he would have liked and got under the covers, pulling them up, almost over his head and rolled away so that he was facing away from the sunlight that was coming in through the window.
When he woke up again, everything felt wrong.
The room was dark, and as a result, Anakin had absolutely no idea what time it was. His mouth way dry, his head was pounding, and his room was far colder than he remembered setting the thermostat to.
The door to his quarters opened again, but Anakin didn't bother with looking up to see who it was- he was already sure he knew, and he didn't feel exactly in the mood to be having any sort of conversation.
"Now is later, Anakin," Obi-Wan said softly as he sat down on Anakin's bed, who responded by pulling the covers up over his head.
"You've slept for almost six hours," Obi-Wan pointed out and then Anakin lowered the covers, staring at Obi-Wan with wide eyes.
"What?" He asked as he blinked and then rubbed his eyes. "What time is it?"
"It's almost midnight," Obi-Wan said, amused at Anakin's confusion.
"What?" Anakin exclaimed, his voice cracking as he did so and sat up, then pinching the bridge of his nose afterwards.
"You needed the rest, it seems," Obi-Wan pointed out and Anakin pushed his hair out of his face.
"I guess," he muttered, still in shock at the time, and shivered as a chill ran up his spine.
"How about something warm to eat?" Obi-Wan suggested but Anakin shook his head.
"Not hungry," he muttered, his stomach turning at the thought of eating anything.
"Just try something," Obi-Wan pleaded in response and Anakin sighed heavily.
"If I throw it back up, I'm blaming you," Anakin muttered.
"That's fine."
