Yennefer had woken up groggy. She looked around the empty dorm room and frowned slightly. She could have sworn that Geralt had brought her back… And he had said something. She was half asleep, and drunk but she was sure that she had heard him say that he loved her.
Geralt entered the room a couple of minutes after with a cup of coffee, and some food on a tray. He smiled at Yennefer fondly. Even with her being hungover, she was still so beautiful to him. He couldn’t believe his luck that he had when he looked at her. Damn it he was in too deep and in love with her.
Yen smiled at him brightly. She took the cup from him and took a sip of the coffee, grateful for it. She watched Geralt for a moment and hummed softly.
“Hey. So, I know I was pretty out of it last night. But I’m pretty sure that I heard you say something…” She told him.
“You did?” Geralt asked and swallowed a little. He was fearing an incoming rejection. But, he hoped that maybe she loved him too.
“About how you felt about me.” Yennefer continued. “That you loved me?” She asked him and raised an eyebrow at him.
“Uh- Yen. I-” He was at a loss for words. No idea what to even say to her with the news that she had heard him confess his love to her.
“Geralt, I love you too.” Yennefer told him and put the mug down, sitting up a bit more to reach him and kiss him softly.
Geralt was over the moon. He had never thought that she would even consider him as a second thought. And yet here she was. She was in love with him and he was in love with her. There was nothing better to him. He held her close to him, the food left forgotten as they fell back on the bed together. She was hungover and still smelled of stale alcohol but to Geralt she was beautiful.
The pair went through college, happily going on some more dates with Yennefer graduating at top of her class. They met each others parents, which went better than expected and even had a few group outings. Yen and Geralt, Jaskier and Priscilla, Eskel and Triss and Lambert and Kiera. The group was happy to share some adventures and after graduating, Yennefer had gone into further education. She shared a home with Geralt, and the two of them had quite the domestic life together.
