It was early in the morning, Eve was making breakfast while thinking of everything that had happened the last two nights. She was worried about Lucille's mental state and worried about how her brunette friend was going to react. She knew Alex was a good person and that what had happened wasn't her fault.
In fact, the blonde felt bad for the agent. Eve still did not understand how it was possible that Alex's mother had done something like that to her own daughter.
Having taken her daughter from her without even letting Alex hold her or even naming her. Then when she saw that her daughter was upset with her, she forced her to forget her own child. Leaving the kid alone to suffer, Eve would never forget how many days she spent in the hospital with Lucy and how many nights she spent comforting Lucy when something bad happened.
Being honest, since the first day so many years ago when she met Lucy in that library and knowing what she had went trough at such young age, the blonde was more than furious at the teen's parents.
When she first found out that her redhead friend was Lucy's mother, Eve was extremely close to punch and yell at Alex. Ask her why she abandoned some one as incredible as Lucy.
But then seeing how sad and hurt the agent looked, Eve was glad she didn't say anything. The blonde was going to help them to tell Lucy the truth but she
still didn't know how she would.
She even told them some things about the blue eyed teenager. But only good things, not about the nightmares, the abuse or what happend that night when Lucille ended up in the hospital practically anything about Lucy's past.
Eve was still debating in she should give Lucille's expedient to Kara and Alex... she was sure they weren't going to react in a good way.
She needed to figure out what to do with the whole situation quickly. Eve really wanted Lucille to be happy and to have a family, something the kid never had. There were too many things to think about but at the same time a lot of things made sense.
Why did Lena reminded her that much to Lucy or why the brunette had the same nose and personality as Alex.
She needed to figure out with Alex what they were going to do after they tell Lucy what was happening. Where was Lucy going to live, what she would like to do and ig she would like to try to have a relationship with her mom.
Eve was still deciding if she should give Lucy's papers to Alex. It was a thick red folder where was everything about Lucy's past. Foster homes, hospitalizations, past schools and failed adoptions. Honestly it waa a difficult decision to make, especially with Lucy's past.
The blonde knew that expedient to Alex, could hurt thr agent and that Lucy could get mad since it waa her privacy but there were things Alex, Lucy's mother needed to know if she wanted to be in the brunettes life.
The blonde was so lost in thought that she did not realize that the teenager with blue-green eyes had arrived home until Lucy started to talk. "Umm.. Eve?" The teen said with a frown, the blonde turned her head at the brunette "You okay?" Lucy continued while looking at Eve, the older woman limited to nod and gave the kid a soft and small smile.
Once Eve finished making breakfast both girls sat on the breakfast nook and started talking as usual in their meals.
Lucy told Eve about her sleepover with Ruby and how school was going and usual she complained about how stupid her classmates were. And Eve told Lucy that she and Lena had dinner together but she didn't tell her about Kara and Alex.
"I have to go to LCorp today, would you like to go with me? I promise I wont take long... I just need to finish some paperwork. Plus Lena will be there, she told me she wanted to show you a new project she's working and you can show her the book you are reading" Eve told the young teen, she knew that the blue eyed teen adored Lena so she wouldn't reject the offer.
"Okay" Lucy simply said and then they finished having breakfast and started getting ready for the day. One hour later they were on their way to the company.
When they arrived before Eve could finish parking, Lucy was already getting out of the car and practically running to her unknown aunt's office. Eve just laughed and shook her head.
Lucy had literally memorized the way to Lena's office. The office big doors were closed so before she entered, Lucy knocked the door. Knock knock knock. Lucille heard Lena's voice telling her to come in.
The raven haired woman was looking at her computer screen and the teen stood by the door quietly frowning.
Understanding that Lena wasn't goingto start the conversation, Lucy decided she would do it herself. "Hey, Lee" she said surprising the CEO a bit making her look away from her screen.
"Sweetie, hi!" The older woman said with a smile on her face and her eyes lit up. Lena stood up from her seat and walked to where Lucy was and gave her a hug. Now that she knew the truth everything felt different.
Both woman moved to Lena's lab since the raven haired wanted to show her niece her new project. It was nice to finally have someone who could keep up with her science rambles, even if it was a 13 year old. After a while, it was almost noon and both woman got hungry.
Lena ordered a salad for her and some potstickers and a thai chicken for Lucy.
The food was going to arrive in at least 15 minutes so they just sat down and talked about a book that Lucy was reading that Lena had lent her. They kept talking until they heard a knock on the door. Thinking it was the delivery man, Lena let him in.
Any of them really paid attention to him until they heard a gasp that made Lena look at him. The raven haired woman eyes opened comically which made Lucy frown. Lena stood up abruptly and walked to the door.
"Darling, Kara. Hey Alex" The CEO said while hugging thr sisters. Lucy who had turned around was looking at the interaction with curious eyes. The redhead's gaze fell on her daughter... This couldn't be happening while Kara was looking at Lena with panic. After some seconds of silence, Lena decided to talk.
-"I didn't know you would come..." The CEO said awkwardly while walking at her desk again. "Uhh guys, these is Lucy. Luce these are Alex and Kara" Lena continued, this time looking at the teen who raise her brow. Kara could feel her sister growing anxious so she decided to start the conversation.
"Hey, it's nice to finally meet you" The blonde simply said. Lucy offered her a small smile. Understanding that Alex wasn't going to make any movement, the blonde alien took her sister's hand and walked them to the sofa.
Finally, Alex dared to look at her daughter who was in front of her. "Hi, I'm Alex. I think we have never presented ourselves properly". The agent said gently and staring at Lucille intensely, thing that made Lucy fidget in her chair.
Noticing the action, Kara hit Alex's side with her elbow who caught the massage and dropped her gaze.
The agent heart raced when she heard a chair moving and then some light steps walking towards her. Then she heard a soft voice saying "Hi, I'm Lucille... but you can call me Lucy". Alex directed her gaze at Kara who was shaking hands with Lucy.
Then the teenager moved to Alex and offered her a small smile and then sticked her hand out for Alex to shake who trying to hide her nervousness shook her hand with her daughter.
This was her first interaction with her daughter in 13 years. Well... maybe not the first time, but for first time they weren't fighting. Alex had to take this opportunity to meet her daughter.
"So, what were you two doing?" The redhead asked looking at Lucy. The small teen send her a bright smile then she turned her head at Lena who gave her a nod. This girl was nothing like the one she met at Ruby's school.
"We were working in a new project. I was helping Lena with quantum entanglement... Lee is not that good with it" The teenager explained while raising a brow at Lena who rolled her eyes.
"Yeah? Can I see?" Alex said giving first Kara a look who nodded enthusiastically and then she looked at Lena who gave her a smile. Lucy nodded grabbing a notebook and showing it to Alex. The agent was impressed at how advanced the technique was for a 13 year old.
This way both Alex and Lucy kept talking while Lena and Kara were looking at them silently but fascinated.
Who knows how much time passed but both mother and daughter were immersed in their science conversation until this time the actual delivery man knocked at the door with Lucy's and Lena's food. And of course Kara got hungry at the moment she smelt the food. No matter how much the Danvers sisters insisted, the teen and the CEO ended up sharing their food with them.
It was Alex's first meal with her daughter and she absolutely loved it. Every second of it was fantastic, hearing Lucy making fun of Lena because she cried the last Friday while they were watching "Finding Dory" or hearing her complaining about how Eve didn't want to get her a hamster or hearing her talk about the few friends she had and about her dog.
Her daughter was amazing, Alex couldn't deny that. At that moment Alex decided that with no doubt, she wanted to be in Lucy'slife as soon as possible. Tomorrow she would tell Kelly what was happening and talk to Eve about her desicion.
After what felt like seconds, Kara and Alex needed to go home. Before they could reach the exit door, Eve stoped them not even caring to hide her surprise at seing them there but choose to not say anything.
"Here I need you to take this" Eve said, handing Alex a huge folder. "No, wait until you get home. Read it when you are alone... it'simportant" The blonde said stopping Alex when she saw her opening the folder. The agent thought if was weird but didn't argue... After that, both sisters went home...
