Takemichi was like a sun.
Ever since they had met again since their elementary days and after being out at the orphanage and being with Izana, Takemichi did not change for one bit. With those same sparkling blue eyes and wide smiles that he swore could make the sun put to shame, Takemichi happily embraced him the moment he saw him again after so many years.
It was an accident. Kakuchou did not expect to see his hero again. One moment he was running an errand for Izana in Tokyo and the next thing he knew there were arms around him.
"Kaku-chan! It's really you!"
"What?"
"It's me! Hanagaki! What don't tell me you already forgot about me?! I'll be so sad Kaku-chan! I swear!"
"Ehh T-Takemichi?!"
"I'm glad! You still remember me hehe"
They had a talk of course, that time they both knew nothing about the gangs both themselves were involved with. 'Well you don't really talk about that kind of stuff so casually.' Not until Takemichi mentioned his boyfriend coming to pick him up.
"Eh you have a boyfriend?!"
"Yup. He is asking for my location. Maybe because I'm kinda late for our meeting considering I got to meet you again haha."
"You mean you did not message him you might be late? Should I get nervous that your boyfriend might be angry at me?"
"Nah I doubt. He's pretty tame you know and kind. Haha don't worry!"
"What do you mean by tame?! Sigh. Anyways, I did not expect you to have a boyfriend. The last time I checked you were just obsessed with being a hero in this town right? What happened to that?"
"Well, I must say that I still became a hero in my own way."
"Haha what do you mean by that? Got in a gang or something?"
When Takemitchi did not respond, Kakuchou knew that something was wrong. Like seriously, his hero being in a gang?
"Whoa. Are you serious right now Takemichi? You are part of a gang now?"
"W-well. I'm actually one of the founding members so you could say that I also formed it? Besides, we are not the type who only seek fight left and right, yes there are fights but we always do things with purpose okay?!"
"Takemichi. It's not like I don't trust you to take care of yourself but you know that being in a gang is dangerous, right? Like once you are in, it would be hard to let go and not get involved on whatever your gang's business, right?"
"What do you mean by that Kaku-chan? Toman is not a bad gang!"
"What?! You're in Toman?!"
'Shit this is bad. Takemichi is with Izana's brother's gang!'
"Kaku-chan, seriously what's wrong? You're scaring me with your reactions."
"I-I'm sorry Takemichi. I'm just surprised is all. Toman is such a big gang. I came from Yokohama and I knew that gang. I'm just concerned about you Takemichi. It is bad if you got caught up between gang fights."
"No need for that concern Kaku-chan! I'm glad but I can handle myself just fine! Uhm well maybe I'll get punch every now and then but I can stand on my own you know!"
'He sounds so proud. Sigh. Just like the old Takemichi ah.'
"Okay I understand, but please don't get involved so often okay? I know your record of going directly into fights without thinking of any plan. You tend to trust your feelings too much hero."
"Wha! Kaku-chan that was all in the past! Ughhhh don't bring up my embarrassing heroing please."
"Hahaha never change Takemichi okay? Oh. I think I need to go now Takemichi. Will you be alright?"
"Aww you going already? Yup I'll be fine, Mikey will be here any moment now."
"W-what? Mikey?"
"Hmm. My boyfriend, Mikey."
"Ahh okay that's good. I will be going now, see you then Takemichi!"
Kakuchou immediately went out of the cafe and to an alley near the place. He was glad for that abrupt goodbye as the moment he was in the alley, he heard the sounds of a motorbike coming near at the cafe. That was when he saw him. Mikey. Sano Manjiro. Of course he knew him. Izana has always talked about the guy, always with hatred so deep he did not know what to do with it.
And to think that Takemichi was in a relationship with this guy. This was a mess. Takemichi would surely be caught to this siblings fight. He then ran out of the area and could not help but to think of what their next meeting would be. Probably in a fight against Toman.
"Mikey!" Takemichi came running out of the cafe and went straight to Mikey's open arms.
"Yo baby. Did you wait too long?" with Mikey returning the hug just as tight.
"No, you're in time. But you just miss Kaku-chan!"
"Kaku-chan?" Mikey questioned with dark tone.
"Mou! Don't ask like that! He's just my childhood friend in elementary okay? But he moved away so I'm just happy to see him now after so many years."
"Hmm. So just a friend then? Nothing more?" asked with more scrutiny.
"Nothing more! Geez you and your possessive self."
"Well. I need to make sure right? You know that I hate having rivals over you. Doesn't mean I can't fight them to death though."
"Hmm I know. You'll always be winning anyways."
"Damn right. And I know you love me being possessive right?"
"Well. Could you blame me? You're hot like this. I could just drown myself in your eyes Mikey."
"Mitchy~ you should really stop making me feel like losing myself you know?"
"Haha but it's the truth though! But none of that! I thought we'll be having a meeting tonight? You know about a brewing fight?"
"Hm we will actually be going straight to the shrine. Everyone's already there."
"Okay let's go then!" Takemichi hopped in Mikey's bike, automatically locking his arms around his waist.
Mikey then proceeded to put the helmet on Mitchy. When both were already okay, Mikey started the engine and went to the shrine.
"Ne. Mikey? This fight. It's with your brother, right? What did Shinichiro-san say about this? He can't really talk with him?"
"No. That idiot older brother of mine is insisting on having this fight. He wanted to see who's stronger between us. Dunno what the hell is he trying to prove."
"Izana-kun is so hard headed sometimes. Please don't hurt him too much okay? I liked him when we were kids."
"But only as a brother right?"
"Hm. I can't help but to feel it's my fault why he is acting like this."
"He's just sulking you chose me over him."
"Mikeyyy"
"I know. Sorry."
"But yeah. Too bad because I'll still choose you whatever happens."
"Now I'm sure I'll win this fight."
"Cocky."
"Hahaha. But you love me."
"Yeah, I do love you anyways."
Unfortunately, the fight still happened. But there was a betrayal beforehand like on Mucho's case. Then some of Tenjiku's high ranking members targeted Smiley and Mitsuya. And the real low blow was when shitty Kisaki tried to kill Emma that one time Emma and Takemichi were walking on the sidewalk to buy some juice for the captains and vice captains' meeting that day. Takemichi, thankfully saw them beforehand and prevented the blow of the metal bat on Emma's head.
Because of the attempted murder on her sister and also for trying to hurt his boyfriend, Mikey, along with a livid Draken and all of Toman brutally fought hard against Tenjiku.
The fight was nearing its end with the two strongest leaders who were giving bloody punches and kicks.
It was clear that Mikey was going to be the victor with how much Izana's punches have starting to lose its strength. Everyone's attention was on the final fight when suddenly a gunshot was heard.
All of the fighting has immediately stopped. All were nervously looking to where the shot came from.
Mikey then noticed his boyfriend was nowhere around the area and called for Chifuyu and Inupi.
"Chifuyu! Inupi! Where is Mitchy?! I told you guys to stick to him, right?"
"Mikey! We know and we are sorry! We are just watching your fight with Izana while we are both supporting Takemitchy but suddenly Takemitchy saw Kisaki escaping and promise we tried to stop him considering his injuries but he insisted to follow that bastard saying Kisaki needed to pay for what he did to Emma. We then agreed to come with him but fucking Hanma came out of nowhere and punched both me and Inupi! We got separated with Takemitchy and we don't know where they are."
"Fuck. Mitchy's probably involved in that gunshot! Shit knowing how reckless he is! Let's go and find him! I have a bad feeling about this. And fucking brother!"
Mikey then turned to Izana who was also looking to where the gunshot came from.
"We need to find Takemitchy! He is missing you asshole! I swear if something happened to him I won't ever forgive you for this mess!"
"What? Take is.. Let me help Mikey!"
"Tsk. Fine. But one wrong move Izana and I'll fucking kill you okay?! Let's go! Spread out and find Mitchy!"
The war has stopped and both gangs were now on search for their crybaby hero. They relentlessly searched for every alley and area available near the place. No more gunshot was heard and that made the situation more difficult.
Until Mikey found Kakuchou kneeling on a deserted parking lot.
Crying. A lot. And he looked like he was holding of someone.
The moment Mikey heard the name of his boyfriend from Kakuchou, he felt all the adrenaline from the fight and searching left his body and ran closer towards him.
"Kakuchou."
Kakuchou immediately felt tensed and looked sideways at him. He could clearly see the distraught face of the guy which made Mikey feel so bad.
"I-I'm sorry Mikey. T-Takemitchy he.."
"M-Mi-k-key?"
Everything at that moment felt so damn wrong with that single word coming from his boyfriend.
His boyfriend who was currently bleeding.
His boyfriend who was on Kakuchou's bloody arms.
His boyfriend who was now looking at him with so much sadness.
His boyfriend who was now dying in front of him.
