Chapter Text
A podcast.
That's all it was.
That's all it took for Dream to break.
He really shouldn't care.
He didn't know these people.
But their words hurt.
"Dream really is retarded, isn't he? You can't blame him for his terrible decisions, mother fycker has the brain of a rock!"
"That's what I was thinking. He- He has ADHD, doesn't he? Isn't there like- a whole thing about ADHD and autism being similar. It makes sense when you look at him!"
The man cackled, nodding. "God, you're right. The guy can't even speak properly! I mean, have you heard him talk?"
"Yeah- Yeah!" There was a laugh. "He's like 'o-o-oh I- I-I'm D-D-D-D-Dream'." He mocked. "Like shut UP, man!"
"He's such a retard, must be autistic. I swear, I don't know how he's so popular! He's said he doesn't take his ADHD meds, right? It really shows man, it REALLY shows."
Dream closed his laptop, shutting off the clip while it was barely half way through. He choked out an ugly sob, an awful feeling in his chest.
He wanted to throw up. The clip made him feel so awful. It made him feel so disgusting. He just wanted to scream.
Tears began to fall down his face before he could even register it. He was shaking.
He buried his face in his pillow.
He'd fall asleep eventually, even with all the tears.
