Summary
After Shiro’s disappearance, the Lions chose new Paladins. Lance, once bonded to Blue, now dawns Red’s armor, a change that feels less like honor and more like punishment, a constant reminder that he’ll never escape Keith’s shadow. But when a mission goes wrong and Lance is captured with the enemy thinking he is Keith, he must endure the consequences of that alone. Because one thing will never change, no matter the Lion, no matter the color: Lance would rather break than let anyone touch the people he loves.
~or~
Lance froze. Half-breed. Not fully human.
They thought he was—
Keith.
His stomach plummeted. This will be great for his self esteem as the new Red Paladin getting confused for his predecessor. Lance shook the selfish thought out of his head. He tried to keep his expression flat.
Panic clawed at him. If they captured Keith too like he thought, and they found out Keith was the real half-Galran. They could hurt him, kill him… no. He couldn’t risk it. He couldn’t let them know they had the wrong Paladin.

Summary
"Keith..."
"Lance can't be dead," he insisted, sounding petulant even to himself. "He lives on a farm, for heaven's sake. Why would anyone want to kill him? It makes no sense. There must be a mistake. Shiro..."
"I'm sorry, Keith." his brother's reply froze him. "But there is no mistake. Hunk and I arrived too late."
The words crashed into him like a tsunami, leaving him reeling and gasping for air. "No," he whispered, shaking his head. "It can't be possible. If it were true..."If that was true, when Lance called him, there was an attack going on and he was in danger, and he had called the first person who was supposed to help him. Except Keith hung up, ignoring him and telling him...
Keith put his hand to his mouth, holding back a gasp of horror.
The last things he had said to Lance was to call Hunk and not bother him.
*
Lance is killed during an attack by a pro-Empire faction, and Keith is forced to deal with long-repressed feelings and a life without Lance.

Summary
Dream thinks he would've noticed if humans came in and removed a gigantic chunk of the woods for seemingly no reason! He ducks lower, eyes scanning the ground to see if the humans have actually bothered using their huge artificial tundra, which is when he realizes that the stretch of land beneath him doesn't even have tree stumps anymore.
Which means humans couldn't have done this, which means something else did.
