Chapter Text

Gregory impatiently tapped his foot against the carpet with his arms crossed. From Bonnie Bowl to the entrance of Rockstar Row, Bonnie had been swarmed by people asking for pictures and signatures. It seemed like it had taken them a year to even meet the entrance to it.

“Hey bud,” Gregory turned to the WET FLOOR: CAUTION bot with a sigh, “Do you ever think we’re gonna see Freddy together?” The yellow bot just beeped in return.

“Facts, honestly.” Gregory nodded, turning back to glare at the family and Bonnie, who were still taking pictures. He could tell that the younger brother and sister were spoiled, as he could hear them screaming about how they wanted to get picked up by Bonnie. It was really testing Gregory’s patience. Even though he just met the blue bunny, he felt as if he should defend him, because it was clear that Bonnie was getting uncomfortable.

Bonnie looked back at Gregory and shrugged, and his eyes flitted to Rockstar row and back. Bonnie mouthed “Go,” to Gregory. He wanted him to go to Rockstar to find Freddy alone.

Gregory froze for a moment, pondering whether or not to follow the direction and leave, but looking at the situation in front of him, he decided to go. Gregory waved at Bonnie, who didn’t wave back since he was now occupied listening to the adults scolding the bratty children, and turned to go to Freddy’s room.

With every step he took, the cold fear spread through him. What if Freddy forgets? What if Freddy finds adult-him annoying? What if Freddy hates him?

He quickly shakes his head, his hair flying everywhere. He's overthinking this! Freddy wouldn't forget him. Freddy deals with annoying adults many times. Freddy won't hate him! Freddy loves everyone. But what if he's wrong…?

He went past Monty's room- he saw through the window that it was perfectly made again. No scratches on the green walls, his red couch sewn back together. It wasn't a mess there, thank God.

He glanced into Roxy's room. It was the same as the last time he went in there, besides the flowing of children's pictures she put up on her wall. The same was for Chica, but with fewer Pizza boxes.

One room left. Gregory anxiously peered from the corner of the window and saw him. The main singer.

Glamrock Freddy Fazbear.

He put his entire body into view of the big window, and took a deep, nervous breath, trying to calm the butterflies in his stomach. He knocked on the window pane knock, knock, knock . Freddy turned from his mirror and waved. He had his microphone with him, so maybe he was practicing a new song? Gregory waved back, his chest lightening excitedly.

To Gregory's dismay, Freddy only turned back.

Regret heaved onto his chest when he did so. 'So, Freddy really did forget about me,' Gregory thought, trying not to ignore the small tears forming over his eyelids. He hung his head in embarrassment and shame. Gregory checked his watch, a quarter until 4. Maybe it was time to take Aiden home.

Defeated, Gregory was about to walk away when he heard a muffled " GREGORY???" from behind him. He whipped around and was met with big blue eyes.

The tsunami of happiness slammed him right then and there. A big large grin appeared on his face. "Freddy!" He called back. He placed his hand on the window. He was pretty much jumping with joy. Freddy, with a grin on his face, turned and pointed at the door. Gregory pretty much jumped over the ropes that were supposed to form a line to Freddy's room and scanned the Photo Pass he received from Vanessa earlier. The door slid open and waiting with open arms was Freddy.

"Freddy!!" He couldn't help but squeal and embarrassingly jumped to hug him. The animatronic squeezed him back, laughing. After about a minute of the hug, Freddy set him down.

"Superstar...Gregory! You're back! I have missed you!" Freddy said, gently patting his head. Gregory noticed how he was up to Freddy's chest and smiled. He wanted to burst into tears but he didn't want to embarrass himself. He was so happy.

"I missed you too Freddy."

"Superstar, after all these years, I thought you had...died,"

"Me? Die? Freddy, I survived a terrible night here once," Gregory sassed, "You think I would die out there? No way!" He smirked and proudly put his arms on his hips.

The bear chuckled and nodded, "You're right. I had total faith. I just could not help to think that you did. Where did you go? You left with no note,"

Gregory sighed, "Long story short, some old people picked me up and took me to school. I didn't have time to go anywhere besides school, work, and my home, so I couldn't visit here." He raised his hands and spun around, "But now I'm back! I'm older and much taller! See, I'm now up to your chest!" He didn't mean to make that so childish, but Gregory really couldn't help it. He felt like a kid again- joyous and dumb.

Freddy chuckled again, "And so you did, superstar. We have gone through many changes while you have been away... Did you see the new friend we have in the PizzaPlex?"

"Yeah, I did! Bonnie! I met him at Bonnie Bowl while I was trying to chase you around,"

"Huh? Chase me around?"

"Yeah!" Gregory held up his hand and started listing, "I tried to find you in the Atrium, Roxy Raceway, Monty Golf, and Bonnie Bowl. You just kept running away!" He pointed an accusing finger. Most of that was a lie, he was looking for his other animatronic friends, but why not poke fun?

"I am sorry, Gregory. I did not know that you were looking for me! I would have looked for you if I knew you were back." The bear looked slightly ashamed, and Gregory brushed off the guilty feeling.

"No worries. I'm not mad! You're a busy bear and everything, I understand!" He offered a reassuring smile.

"I am so glad to hear that," Freddy smiled. He turned back to his vanity and picked up the mic he set down.

"You know Freddy, I do have something I want to tell you," Gregory said, grinning.

"Oh, what is that?" Freddy bent down into one of his drawers and tried to fish out something from inside.

"I...I have a kid!"

"What!?" Gregory flinched at how fast the bear stood up. Freddy grabbed his shoulders and his jaw might have unhinged from its bolts from shock. Gregory nervously laughed.

"Gregory?! You have a kid!?"

"Yeah, Freddy! I have one!" Gregory smirked, regaining confidence. "I have adopted him and his name is-"

"Daddy!?!" Aiden screamed. Gregory jumped and Freddy fumbled a bit, letting go of his shoulders. Aiden was standing agape with a Monty plush in hand. Somehow the kid was able to open the door? Who took him here?

"Aiden!? How did you get here? And what did I say about screaming!?" Gregory choked embarrassment flushing through his face.

"Sorry dad, but you are friends with Freddy Fazbear!?" Aiden gasped. He toddler up to Freddy and opened his arms for a big hug. Freddy kneeled and hugged him. Aiden started to jump gleefully and started rambling to Freddy.

"Dad and I are really big fans!! He's the bigger one though! I've never been here before because I am 5. Um, Auntie Vanessa sends Dad recordings of you guys performing. You're great!" Aiden shined. Freddy chuckled and nodded.

"I am very glad, superstar. What is your name?"

"Oh! I'm Aiden!"

"Enthusiastic fellow you are, just like your father." Freddy glanced at Gregory while he said that, and Gregory rolled his eyes.

"And you know-" Gregory's hearing turned away from Aiden and Freddy to the muffled noises behind Freddy's door. Gregory stepped to open the door and peeked out, to be met with the giggling animatronics China, Roxanne, Bonnie, and a glaring Monty.

"You guys, sentient robots, are the worst at being sneaky," Gregory choked out. He didn't mean to say it like that, but the sight of all of them together and Freddy with Aiden, his heart could not take it. He wanted to cry happily.

"Oh! They took me here, Daddy!" Aiden said, coming out of the room and pointing to them. They waved, Chica waving excitedly, Roxy and Monty waving nonchalantly, and Bonnie only posing with his hands on his hips.

"You know, Showtime does not start until later, and we have plenty of time to hang out." Monty started.

"So, why not have us all hang out," Roxy suggested. Gregory's eyes widened in surprise and Aiden looked ecstatic.

"Yeah, yeah! Can we, dad!? I wanna play with them!"

Gregory laughed and looked back at Freddy who nodded. "Yeah. Like the old times, and with 2 new faces." They all cheered.

"C'mon, Aiden!" Chica waved, squatting down to his kid's height. "Let's go to Mazercise! We can have tons of fun there!"

The group spent the next hour playing Mazercise, all laughing with each other. Gregory got caught up with all the news about the PizzaPlex, and Gregory told him all about what was going on in his life, and what he experienced outside of the PizzaPlex.

Gregory was ashamed to even admit that he cried over the reunion in Freddy's arms, as Roxy and Bonnie were teasing him about it. (From experience, he expected Monty to tease him, not Bonnie who he had just met!)

Also, he got jump scared by Mapbot again when he was going to Mazercise and he let out an embarrassingly girly scream. Monty burst into laughter when it happened. But he refuses to talk about it too.

In the car, Gregory and Aiden listened to the radio, listening to the songs that were playing. The car ride home was pretty silent. Aiden was exhausted, no surprise. The kid came for a birthday party but ended up hanging out with the Glam Rock crew like it was a VIP session.

On the other hand, Gregory was happily humming along and tapping his steering wheel. He has never been as happy as he was today. The adrenaline from the day hasn't worn off yet as he kept thinking about the new core memories he made. He's going to treasure all the new photos and videos he got during the experience.

Gregory also wondered if he could go back another time, maybe at night. He'll ask Vanessa, maybe, because she still worked there as a nightguard.

"Hey, Dad?" Aiden's voice called, taking Gregory out of his thoughts.

"Yes, Aiden?"

"Can we go back there again? Soon? Pleeease?" Aiden begged. Gregory saw from the mirror his big pleading eyes and sighed.

"Maybe. Just when I get enough money." Or whenever Vanessa sneaks him into the building, hopefully.

"Anyways, Aiden," Gregory reached and turned down the radio volume. "How was the party? Was it fun?" He leaned back and enjoyed the rest of the drive back to their apartment building, listening to Aiden start to talk about the birthday party.
