Chapter Text
By 3:15 they were all at the library. The three boys were sitting on some couches in a corner that were probably older than all three of the boys.
“So, uhm, I don’t mean to be mean but why is Connor here?” Evan asked.
“Because he is important to our discussion.”
Awkward silence.
It was silent until Connor apparently couldn’t take it anymore.
“Okay, Jared, are you just not going to say anything?”
“Well I don’t know what to say! This was your idea, I could’ve gone a couple more years!”
Connor sighed and rolled his eyes. “Okay, fine. I’ll do it. Evan,” he paused to turn over to the blonde. “I’m your soulmate correct?”
Evan’s eyes widened. “How did you—“
Connor interrupted him to get straight to the point. “But you’re not mine. Jared is. But I am also not Jared’s soulmate.
Evan looked over at Jared. His eyes searched the brunette up and down like he was trying to find Jared’s mark himself. Jared took his bracelets off and showed his left wrist to his soulmate.
“This has to be some sick joke.”
“Funny, Jared basically said the same thing,” Connor inputted. Evan ignored him though, his attention still on Jared.
“So when did you find out then, Jared? I don’t think it’s just a coincidence that your mark formed under the billion bracelets that you wear.”
“April, sophomore year,” Jared answered.
Evan was making that face he makes when he had a million thoughts going through his head and couldn’t figure out which one to express. If you were his childhood friend named Jared Kleinman you have gotten this look in your direction at least once for every unnecessary scheme you have ever tried to preformed.
“So, what does this mean for us?” Evan finally asked. “What do we do now?”
Connor and Jared glanced at each other.
“Neither of us really know,” Connor replied.
“But, we have literally all the knowledge we could ever want at the touch of our fingers!” Jared said, lifting up his phone. “How hard could it actually be?”
