Appearance: SCP-2402 is a humanoid figure with scales, similar to that of the Aulonocara
jacobfreibergi (fairy cichlid) in colour, covering its body. SCP-2402 has webbed fingers that give it the vague idea of fins. On the side of SCP-2402’s neck are gills. Protruding from its head are orange spikes that appear to have poisonous properties. SCP-2402 was brought in wearing a baclk sweat jacket with cyan trimming, dark blue jeans and dark blue sneakers. These clothes are currently not worn by SCP-2402 as its containment unit and is currently wearing a black wetsuit with half arms that possess the same cyan trim as the jacket it arrived in, upon request from SCP-2402 (Note: further investigation for the subject’S liking to this specific colour)

SCP-2402 has a fair skin with a green tint, due to the scales covering it, its hair is dark brown and is cut short-ish. Its eyes are dark aquamarine, with some staff members reporting that they appear to lighten in colour during unspecified times. The teeth of SCP-2402 are unnaturally sharp, appearing like those of a shark.

SCP-2402 stands at 5’8 with the spikes adding an additional 3 inches to its height. SCP-2402 appears to be in its mid to late twenties by human standards.

Containment: SCP-2402 is to be placed in a containment cell measuring 20 feet in height, length and depth. The cell is to be filled with freshwater. Half of the water is to be changed once every two weeks, with a complete change made every three months. During the time of replacement SCP-2402 is to be placed in a special containment cell measuring 4 feet on all sides, also filled with freshwater. SCP-2402 is to be provided with a diet consisting mainly of fish, shrimp and other seafood. These food not are to be seasoned with large amounts of salt to allow for normal amounts of osmoregulation.

Description: While never used by SCP-2402 itself, several of the other associated SCPs referred to SCP-2402 as a “Guardian” and a “Guardian-hybrid”. When asked about this during an interview SCP-2402 had simply shrugged with its shoulders and not elaborated, even upon further questioning. Tests have shown that the “Guardian” is indeed very protective of various things. Mainly structures, as shown when staff attempted to remove the LEGO® structures built by SCP-2402 and was bitten and nearly mauled. The same protectiveness it has over structures also extends to the HC SCPs as well.
SCP-2402 has an affinity for lasers, appearing to be drawn to them and upon the staff handing SCP-2402 a laser pointer, it handled the laser pointer like a bird would an egg and got extremely protective over it. Showing the laser pointer around its cell and pointing to various things and explaining them.

SCP-2402 is able to breathe underwater completely fine, due to the gills it possesses. SCP-2402 is also able to breath, and maintain consciousness, out of water. The length of the time SCP-2402 goes up to three minutes, and is dependent on the stress and adrenaline level of SCP-2402. Stress reduces the time drastically, while adrenaline helped achieve the record of three minutes, two seconds.

SCP-2402 was found on the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio, USA, drifting amongst the ships in the harbour. Despite being found there, SCP-2402 shows no knowledge regarding the place.
SCP-2402 is able to lift objects of great weight both underwater and out of water. Previously it was assumed SCP-2402 could only carry heavy objects underwater, but Test 12a showed the opposite results.

It gets along with other SCPs and has described the rest of the HC SCPs as its friends.
SCP-2402, along with other SCPs (all HC classified) is capable of opening a panel that grants it access to what SCP-8301 calls its „inventory“. This inventory appears similar to inventories from the videogame Minecraft and SCP-2402 is able to pull items (displayed as small icons on the screens) and place them in its inventory.
When brought into the facility SCP-8301 had the following items in its inventory: 1022 pieces of grass blocks, 2 diamond shovels, 1 diamond chestplate, 1 arrow, 34 torches, 1 “enderchest”, 38 pieces of obsidian, 1 empty metal bucket, 2 pickaxe made from “netherite”, 1 sword made from “netherite”, 1 bow, 42 rockets (Note: do not harm a person when fired), 60 pork chops, 1 diamond axe

Additionally SCP-2402 is capable of opening another window (all HC SCPs being capable of the same thing) that appears to be similar to a chatroom. The window is split into multiple chats between SCP-2402 and other HC SCPs, a large group chat containing all of the HC SCPs and an option to start calls.
