Chapter Text
Impulse stretches his wings, his scales glinting sharply in the moonlight, he’s been in Endor ( middle Earth) for almost eighty years now, and he hasn’t changed a bit. Sure his hair has been cut and styled into something more fitting of the area, but he’s been preserved in time. His memories holding as well. The days in this world blending together far more than his time, on his home server and hermitcraft. It doesn’t make sense. But he won't complain. He loves the people he’s met here, but… there’s something else. Something is missing…
The dragon hasn’t been able to return to his human form fully, his tail, horns, and wings staying. often shifting in his sleep. It’s been stressful.
The Ring had been given to Frodo Baggens to destroy it and the council had put together a fellowship. SO now they’re just waiting. Waiting for sunrise so they might travel safely.
Looking out at the stars, Impulse flicks his tail gently. His fangs poking just barley over his lips.
A flash of purple from above.
A scream.
Someone landing squarely on Impulse back forcing him to the ground.
“Oh sorry about that Professor Dibbledop.” He laughs. Freezing Impulse’s attempt to hit him with his wings. Skizz ruffles his hair as he refuses to move off of Impulse back.
“Sskizzz? Impulse hisses tring to rollover to get a look at his friend. “How?” He shifts and cranes his neck around to look at Skizz.
Skizz pulls a face and shudders, “Dude… never do that again. That did not feel good.”
A whine worms its way from Impulse’s throat. He paws forwards slowly.
“Aww come here,” Skizz opens his arms for a hug, “I’ve missed you homie.”
“It’s been so long…”Impulse coils around his best friend, hiding him from the world in his wings.
Skizz pets his head, “It’s been three weeks for me,” Impulse hisses, “How long has been for you?”
“Around eighty years.” Impulse can't keep the quaver out of his voice.
“Oh…” Skizz wraps his arms around Impulse's neck, “Oh DibbleDop i'm so sorry.”
They stay like that in silence for a while then Skizz sighs, “Can you let me up?”
Impulse growls.
“I won't leave you, my legs are just falling asleep.”
He stands up and turns back to human, fully back to human, “Whoa…” He looks down at his hands. Then smiles, “This is… it’s because of you… my hoard.”
“Aww” Skizz laughs, pulling Impulse into a proper hug, “I love you too.”
Purple flashes again.
They look over.
“Kevin!” Skizz yelps as his dog jumps up at Impulse trying to lick his face.
“Hey buddy,” Impulse laughs, “I missed you.”
“Kevin Bubbles Malone Refrigerator Jimmy MadEye Dugan,” Skizz says slowly getting his dogs attention. “I told you to stay put.”
Kevin barks. Shaking his brown fur out.
“Kevin no. You do not follow people into watcher portals.” Skizz scolds, as he paces in a circle. He barks again, Skizz sighs, “At least you have your leash…”
Impulse sits on the ground and lays back, “Oh man that feels awesome…”
Laughing Skizz extends a hand, “Are you ready to go home?”
Sitting up Impulse sighs, “We can’t, not yet. I said I would help get rid of a magic ring.”
“Let's do it.”
Kevin barks in agreement.
“It’ll be dangerous.”
“I am not going to let you do this on your own. I'm helping and you can't stop me,”
Impulse grins, “Alright let's do this.”
