“Yes, like that.” He stops walking, standing in front of the entrance of the cavern. “Those monsters were human, once, a long time ago. Spend enough time in this place and you’ll get ‘corrupted’. I was researching evidence of another realm when I discovered something about it. Every life that ends up in said realm can never die as long as they’re in the realm.”
Different realms, immortality. Shikamaru knew that his life would never again be as easy as it was before.

Shikamaru's had an easy life. Different realms and a troublesome team is bound to change that. Not to mention the 'Akatsuki' group targeting him for whatever reason.

Summary
Years before he was a SHIELD Agent, Clint used to be a member of Medusa, a Black Ops Program created by the CIA. Not just any member but Delta One. Arguably the most dangerous member to come out of Medusa and never quits sane afterwards. He hid it well but there was always that fractured part of his mind that when push came to shove was there, ready to kill. Well Alexander Conklin makes a call to bring Clint back in but not in Medusa instead into the Treadstone 71st program to kill Carlos the Jackal.
In bringing Clint back into the fold Clint finds out the Jackal is hunting his brother. So it's a race against time and his team to find Barney before the Jackal does. And in failing that. Killing the Jackal. His mind already fractured from Medusa and Loki's actions this might be the final push of his sanity.
Coulson freshly out of the hospital and physical therapy now is in a race against time. Find Barton before he gets himself killed.

Summary
New York has four vigilantes. Or more like two vigilantes and two mercenaries. For the sake of simplicity we'll say four vigilantes. After all of them are seen working together the Avengers are tasked with finding out their identities, in case an ill intented team forms.
And then there's this group of friends. No one's able to find a logical explanation for how one of Stark Industries' finest interns, an unemployed guy with a shit ton of student debt, a blind lawyer and that one deaf guy that works at the corner store managed to become friends. All they know is somehow they are.
The question was: How long will it take for the Avengers to tie the two groups together?In short: The Avengers are after Team Red, and Team Red doesn't have the time, nor the energy for it, as there are mafia leaders to deal with.

A mitsukou and minabros-centric tbhk AU, in which Kou dies in Mitsuba's place.
A few notes:
Everyone's personality stays the same, and some ages differ (e.g Nene is a second year, and Akane is a second year), this is so it'll make more sense
Mitsuba and Nene are cousins rather than siblings, and any romance plot involving Hanako (who has not been swapped with anyone) as well as Nene's initial crush on Teru are ignored
