Summary
Childe never really thought too much about his soul mark, not after the abyss. He had made peace with the fact he could never be with them after being tainted. But after a mission gone wrong the mark is unintentionally revealed to his Archon. Forced to fulfil a millennia old contract between gods she has to hand Childe over to the Geo Archon.
Childe now has to navigate an unfamiliar culture while trying to please his new husband and his family, as well as prove his continued loyalty to the Tsaritsa. Balancing on that tight rope will prove difficult as both sides fight to pull him down. The abyss is certainly ready to catch him as he falls.

Ahurewa, on the other side of things, had beared that curse her whole life. A sick, twisted being who could kill with her eyes alone. She was never able to see the smiling faces of companions, or a beautiful sunny day, or the flowers that bloomed in spring. The only thing her eyes were allowed to see were the deaths of others.
This isolation terrified Ahurewa, and yet she found she was not much different from other dragons. She still sought companionship, foolish as it might’ve been. She desired friends.

No doubt, he's sure his brother would be fairly amused if he was aware this was only the beginning to a look into his history.
But alas, even he knows that nothing would be left untouched no matter how much he suffers for answers.
"So just enjoy this one, your Eminence. Or should I say, dear reader?"
He smiles to the Heavens beyond the false sky before returning to his drink, taking a sip before getting lost in the faint reflection of his face. A face he knows belongs to the divine beyond this reality, it was clear when he gained a piece of their Eminence themselves after all.
He knows you can see this, but he knows these words are only that, words. But it's a story you wish to read, so who is he to judge their Eminence for writing this world into existence in the first place.
