Despite Danarius' treatment, Ariana shows resilience and kindness while casting aside traditional roles between slave and master. As their mutual desires grow, Fenris and Ariana must decide whether to ignore their feelings or submit and have an affair under one of the Imperium's most violent Magisters.
This work has a brutal depiction of Danarius and his treatment of his slaves. He is an evil man and will be written as such.

In the silent depths of Copper 9, six battered and malfunctioning cores, having recently attained individuality, managed to escape their confines due to large tremors and distortions of gravity. Once under the command of their powerful creator, the Absolute Solver — they were one of the first teams of Disassembly Drones that were sent to infiltrate Copper 9's Cabin Fever Labs but were unable to achieve their mission as they had been confined for years by a crazed Worker Drone that guarded its abandoned halls.
Now, stripped of their sleek bipedal forms as they are unable to self-repair and left as little more than cores with spidery appendages, they were bound by a singular purpose: to locate their creator.

Husk gave him a side eye. “…you want an empty glass?”
“Alcohol’s bad for you.” Angel said, nodding like he was a minister doing an assembly at a middle school.
“You’re nucking futs.” Husk grabbed the glass and slid it across the bar, Angel catching it before the light glass could rebound off of his leg.
With one fluid movement, Angel picked up the glass, took careful aim, and threw it directly across the bar and onto a wall. It shattered into a bazillion pieces.
“WHAT THE FUCK!?”

Aka, one of Charlie’s therapy methods might actually be working. Probably not in the way she anticipated, though.

Summary
This fic will be rife with hurt/comfort, 'cause look, Tintin needs to acknowledge he's not an invincible human being and not even an adult frankly for that matter. He's been through enough. Just because he's survived so many worst case scenarios doesn't mean he can keep doing this to himself. Though he's often had to rely on himself and Snowy to survive and managed, he really needs help. And a fainting spell and hitting his head on a bed post on the way down may end up being the cause of his admittance of that.

A few days after another case, Tintin tries to put his usual effort into getting back to normal and writing up his article for it. He's always one to push through his thoughts and feelings and get things done, however awful he feels, because he's so used to looking after himself whilst completing very dangerous cases and adventures, and he's not about to start now.
But as something that Tintin initially thinks is just a bad cold and is something he is able to treat without so much worry, it turns out that as soon as he gets back, it just gets far worse and far more difficult to simply just ignore. And that's with the fact that with the strong bond he has developed in his life with the captain, something he's really never had before, means that the latter forces him to confront it head on, and to be able to not only accept the love and care he truly deserves, but to be able to love and take care of himself when he really, really needs to.

Tintin thought he'd finally found peace within Christianity, in a way that helped him, unlike with how he was raised in it.
Unfortunately, it seems, with his history, job and lifestyle, something was going to come up and bite him back and snatch away yet another form of peace he'd tried to hold onto.
It really does make him wonder how appropriate this all comes back to him, in a church of all places, it seems.
