Summary
Tintin has finally had enough of Sakharine's games and decides to walk out on the both of them. Unfortunately, the latter has other ideas, and with him being a still very powerful, manipulative, obsessive and controlling man, and this being the 1940s and they're both male in their relationship, he decides to threaten the reporter in one of the worst ways imaginable to get him to stay exactly where he should be.

Summary
A mysterious man who disturbingly resembles a recent enemy of him and his friends' kidnaps Tintin, dragging him to a not quite abandoned underground train station to tie him to the train tracks so he can leave him to die a violent death. It's not quite the usual form of kidnapping he's used to, and neither is the fear and vulnerability rising to the surface when staring death helplessly in the face, instead of his usual confident quips and anger he's able to spit out, relying on his friends to save him before he's splattered mercilessly against the train tracks and platform in only 15 minutes.

And Sakharine's already well-prepared to return the favour; of which the reporter would wish he would've known so he could've walked out of Marlinspike with full control of all of his own mental and physical faculties.

“Oh, perhaps it is,” he drawled, never letting up that disturbingly sultry voice, “but I’m sure someone else knows who could lead me to him. This treacherous, idiotic crew of that drunken excuse of a captain did mention a pair of bumbling Interpol agents when they snatched you off of the streets for me.”"

He put sadistic emphasis on the last word, but he didn’t stop there.
“Or are your parents dead? Were you left at the doorstep of an orphanage? Running amok with all the other young children? It explains everything about your bratty, interfering behaviour, in all honesty.”
Something hit a nerve. He felt a rage rise to the surface, willing himself to spit more venom in the man’s direction. He still had fight in him, and he’d provoked him just a little too far over the edge.
“Fuck off,” he growled, his eyes making direct eye contact with Sakharine’s, “my parents have nothing to do with this. It’s not my fault people like you exist, and I’d rather do something than watch them destroy everything.”
“Such an attitude. Shame you never had parents to teach you better behaviour. It would’ve stopped you from getting in everybody else’s businesses.”

"Even though it was only a small syringe, there was absolutely no strength left in him to hide his terror at it, the strange clear liquid only adding to it as to what it could possibly be. Sakharine was resembling more of a mad scientist in this regard, the lamplight eerily glinting off of his spectacles and the silver point of the needle at the end of the syringe.
“Oh, it’s just amazing how I only find out your fear now,” he drawled, a dark, sadistic whisper up close to the side of his face, “you’d hide anything until it was right in front of you. You can’t slip between my fingers anymore.”
There was a brief, quiet and menacing laugh against his face, seeing his panicked breathing and wide, scared eyes like a deer in the headlights, unable to get up and run like he always did before.
