Do people do retrospectives for fanfictions? Well, this was only to announce a couple things. First is that I’ve completely re-edited the entirety of this fic. Before, the formatting was atrocious and I apologize for having to make sense of when the speaker changed mid paragraph. If you’ve read my other works, you’ve seen that I’ve improved lol. Also, I have written a separate fic that is full of… spice. When I first started writing this, I would be embarrassed writing kissing scenes, but now I am a much more confident homosexual and enjoy writing romantic smut. I wanted it seperate from this fic for simplicity’s sake. It is just called Finding Live in a Hospital Room (Spicy Scenes).
Now for a more retrospective part for anyone interested. This was my first big fanfic and is extremely important to me. It helped me vent out a lot of things I was feeling around that time. Including a certain part of chapter 8 which admittedly is the only part I now find cringey lol. It was nice living out a gay romantic relationship through Rich and Michael and create an, admittedly, completely new world in Be More Chill.
Be More Chill also meant a lot to me since it was the first large queer fandom I was in and it helped my find out a lot about myself. Writing this fic also helped me figure out a lot of stuff about myself and what I wanted out of romantic relationships and friendships as well and I think I’ve accomplished most of that. Tinder still sucks though.
Anywho, thank you to everyone who read this fic and might be rereading it with the newly edited one if you want to relive your Be More Chill phase like I did before editing this. Also, enjoy the spicy scenes if they’re your thing. Thank you all so much for all the support!
