Zayn had known from the beginning that his summer fling with Louis was just that – a summer thing, and no more. He’d known that Louis’ heart was already taken, known that this was just a chance for Louis to learn more about himself and his sexuality. Louis had been upfront about it the whole time.
Unfortunately, Zayn dramatically underestimated how easy it would be to fall in love with Louis.~*~
“Um.” Louis swallowed hard. “Okay. I just, like – have you kissed guys?”
Zayn nodded. “Guys, girls, a few non-binary people. I’ve met all sorts at the clubs near the university.”
“Could you-” Another pause. “Like, I was wondering, would you… just to see what it’s like?”
Zayn blinked. “Would I… kiss you?”
Louis’ face was pale, but his gaze was steady on Zayn’s as he nodded. “If you want,” he said. “You don’t have to, if it’s too weird, or like… but I just… I wanted to try. I wanted to know.”
