Jayce hurried down the halls of the academy, praying and hoping Viktor would be where he left him. He swung the door open with a loud bang, disrupting Skye at her workstation.
“Vitya,” he breathed, “I think I fucked up.”
He laid eyes on the shorter man, hip propped up against a desk with a cup of coffee in hand and the morning’s paper in another.
“It would seem so, my love.” Viktor replied, not looking up from the newspaper, “I’m reading about it right now.”
“It’s already in the paper?” Jayce questioned frantically.
Aka Jayce and Viktor get married during the time skip between act 1 and 2 and nobody knows about it until they do.

Instantly Viktor’s hands flew to his own body, he could feel the warmth of his own skin under the fabric of his shirt, could recognize the thud of his rapid heart rate. His hair was no longer long and unkempt but neat and short. He brought his hands down to look at them. Human. Completely and totally human.

Summary
Jayce Talis was young when he met Viktor at the river. It definitely wasn't something his mother approved of either, her omega son regularly talking alone with a random alpha of the undercity. There friendship felt so short-lived when he was banned from going to the river where they met. But even after years of studying magic and the Arcane, Jayce would never forget the voice of the alpha he met. But it's a lot harder to bond with him once they're both older and Viktor is so focused on Jayce's findings instead of Jayce's kind of obvious crush on him.
