Jayce Talis was young when he met Viktor at the river. It definitely wasn't something his mother approved of either, her omega son regularly talking alone with a random alpha of the undercity. There friendship felt so short-lived when he was banned from going to the river where they met. But even after years of studying magic and the Arcane, Jayce would never forget the voice of the alpha he met. But it's a lot harder to bond with him once they're both older and Viktor is so focused on Jayce's findings instead of Jayce's kind of obvious crush on him.
