A whine so quiet escapes Dean's lips, pulling at Castiel's heartstrings. He cups Dean's face in his palms and catches his gaze, "Are you sure you're feeling all right?"
He can already predict the answer, but they've worked hard on getting Dean to voice his worries. Nevertheless, Castiel has already begun drawing up plans to put Dean at ease for the night.
"Just thinking 'bout shit," Dean shrugs, voice soft. "Can't get my brain to shut its trap to save my life."
Tears spring up at the corners of Dean's eyes, and before he can hide himself away, Castiel tugs him down to press a kiss to his forehead. It took them quite a long to get to this point of vulnerability, and Castiel will never let him feel like there is a reason to hide.
"Let me take care of you."

He checked the chamber as he walked over to his door and glanced through the peephole. Nothing. Guess he’d have to do this the hard way.
Thumbing off the safety, Jaskier yanked the door open and felt a thrill of surprise burn through him at what awaited him.
