A pair of red eyes, glinting like the finest jewels, was staring directly at him from the far corner of the room. Izuku felt pinned by that gaze, as if he was a deer standing still at the sight of the wolf. The man, despite his clearly foreign attire, held powerful presence and confidence despite the stray glances thrown his way. That's how it started. A letter, an accidental confession, a Saturday afternoon. And that? That was the easy part.
Now, what they do - what they are - is secret. Because if anyone finds out... they don't even want to imagine. Lonnie would kill them both on sight. Mike's parents would send him away to some boarding school. They'd never see each other again. They'd be marked forever. Everything would come crashing down around them.
