Falling, they were falling. Or were they flying? No, they were nowhere. They existed in the worlds between. Venti was speaking, but not in words. His hand covered the hole in Aether’s chest, the bloody chasm that once kept Aether’s heart. The heart he’d offered Venti, the heart that meant more to Venti than anything in the world. A light filled Aether’s body, blinding in its intensity. Venti’s hand felt like it was on fire.
If Aether no longer had a heart, Venti would give him his. He already had, after all.

“There is no need to act shy around me, Traveler. He did just kiss you in front of me - it would be hard to misunderstand your relationship.”
Eyes widening with shock, Aether stared up at the taller man, his mouth dropping open with surprise while heat enveloped his face.
