Summary
Ah, Kevin had his face on. Not his normal face, although that was equally as annoying. He was wearing that one face that was so smug it almost made Neil cringe. This is what today’s teenage girls crushed on? Ew.
His face only confirmed Neil’s thoughts: the rest of the team had bet on something, and Kevin had won. Early practice for all of them, then.

Neil is smart when it comes to math. Apparently, too smart, because he could spit out numbers like they were nothing, and it gets the attention of the team. -

Summary
Andrew was more than willing to turn down the Ravens' offer to be their newest goalie, unwilling to play five more years of Exy - let alone for someone with a too-sharp smile and a manic gleam in their eyes.
That was, until he realized that a member of their Perfect Court was his soulmate. (That was, until Riko Moriyama realized that Nathaniel Wesninski, the Ravens' #3 in waiting, was Andrew's soulmate.)
Andrew always knew that Fate loved tormenting him, he didn't need a reminder yet again via a too-attractive soulmate who appeared to loathe him. Yet things aren't always what they seem, especially in the Nest.

Summary
He patted the dashboard near Andrew’s hand, not quite touching. “As long as you know you’re the prettiest bird of all.”
“I will push you out of this car, junkie.”
Or: something soft and kind and just between the two of them in the weeks after The King's Men.

Summary
Jean blinks rapidly as Jeremy starts to climb out of bed. Jeremy’s little gold shorts hike up as he bends, reminding Jean why he can’t actually be that annoyed that Jeremy always wears them despite how hideous they are. The fabric pinches against the flesh of his thighs right above one of the little marks Jean left there last night. The shorts also do absolutely nothing to hide the tent in his pants.
Before he can second guess himself, Jean reaches out and grabs Jeremy’s wrist. Jeremy startles, one leg fully on the floor and looking back at Jean in confusion.
“Can I watch?” Jean asks.
Jean isn't feeling up for sex but still wants to watch Jeremy get off.

Summary
Love.
The word settled within him with startling certainty. This was love. Jeremy knew it then, without a shadow of a doubt, that he loved both this man and the dog cradled in his arms.
Jean. And Jabberwocky.
Jeremy goes to sleep one summer night before the start of his fifth year, on the eve of picking up a certain Raven from the airport. He wakes up a year later, in that Raven's arms.
He is wholly unprepared for how much better his life has become in the span of a single year.

Summary
“Stay,” Jean says suddenly. “Don’t go anywhere.”
“At the party?” Jeremy asks, amused.
Jean rubs his cheek against him again. It’s a silly habit he only ever seems to do when he’s very sleepy or very drunk. Then he stops, still resting against Jeremy’s jacket. When Jean looks up at Jeremy, he remembers just how big and sad Jean’s eyes can get when he really turns them on him.
“Stay with me,” Jean whispers. “Don’t go back to San Diego.”
Jeremy comes home between games with his professional team and takes care of Jean when he drinks at a party. It turns out they both miss each other more than they've been admitting.

Summary
“You didn’t lie,” Jean says with a breathy rasp that Jeremy feels in his gut.
He tilts his head up to meet Jean’s eyes, only for his boyfriend’s to skitter away off to the side. Huh. “About what?”
Jean seems to weigh his words, still not looking at him. Finally, he says, “Your mouth. You are very good with it.”
Jeremy gives Jean his first blow job. Feelings ensue.
