“We need to talk,” Gotak said, stepping closer to his table.
Baekjin put down his book.
There was a beat, tension heavy as they all stared Baekjin down. Maybe this was about Baku. Maybe they were there to reveal to him that Baku had only asked him out on a dare, and he didn’t really care for him at all. Maybe they were here to tell him to leave their beloved captain alone, and that Baekjin would never be good enough for him.
Gotak bowed his head, harsh in one swift movement.
Baekjin’s eyes widened as the rest of them followed suit, all bowing before him.
“Please help us, Na Baekjin!”
Baekjin was not prepared for that.
Wherein Baku is so whipped for his boyfriend that he gets distracted from basketball, and Baekjin decides to give him a little extra motivation to bring home the win. (He's doing this for the sake of the team. Totally not as an excuse to do something special for his boyfriend. For sure.)
