Summary
At debut, every idol act receives an egg they must nurture and treasure to ultimately hatch. This becomes a lifetime bond with your dragon! A celebrity status symbol, but the dragon is also there to bear the brunt that this life can have on growing young performers. The stronger the bond, the stronger the performer and group.
I would like to see a story about BTS and their dragons. Seven isn’t a lot compared to some groups, but that’s still a sizeable number! I’ve tagged all the relationship because it’s up to you! Any and all are great. Could be romantic, could be gen!
Some thoughts:
- Is there a market behind the dragon hatchlings? Do the big 3 have historic unprecedented access to specific breeds/types/skills? Are there hierarchies or types?
- Do the dragons and their human counterpart share a psychic bond?
- Are the dragons litmus tests for internal feelings? (aka when JK scoffed at the press conference and went back to writing, was his dragon breathing fire behind him?)
- Are the dragons miniature, or ride-able sized? (ARE THE DRAGONS USED IN CHOREO?!! DO THE DRAGONS MODEL?? or are the flashes of light not great??)truly the world is your oyster, and could be at any point in bangtan’s history, but the eggs are given to the boys at debut.

Summary
Dragon rider au. An alternative universe with dragons and riders and fantasy and so on. Namjoon has wanted to be a rider his whole life but when he finally gets his chance, things don’t exactly go as he’s hoped for. Yoongi, the dragon he’s paired with, isn’t the most open or welcoming creature neither in his human nor dragon form. Little by little both men gain each other’s trust until eventually their feelings are slowly deepened to something prohibited. Relationships between dragons and their riders are not exactly approved by the society, and the couple has to decide whether to hide their blooming relationship or come out to the world, no matter the consequences.
Smut would be more than welcome but not required (monster fucker!Namjoon please)

Dragons, although they are capable of shifting into human forms due to strong old magic, aren’t treated with respect or dignity at all. Summary
[Historic Taekook AU]
Jungkook, the prince of the country. Taehyung is a dragon who also has a human form. There are good and bad dragons. The bad dragons destroy the villagers farms and other things and also possess a threat to the humans. The leader of the bad dragons is Kim XYZ who also happens to be Taehyung's father. Taehyung is not like his father and wants to live peacefully without hurting anyone and is innocent. Because of his mother, Taehyung's father doesn't pester him much.
Jungkook's father decides to attack the bad dragons' clan(I don't know what the group of dragon is called so I will use clan for now, the writer can then later decide the right word to use). During the attack and fight, Some dragons along with some humans are killed but Jungkook and his army somehow get their hands on Taehyung. Taehyung is then caged and brought to the Kingdom and then to the prison.
Remaining story of them falling in love and sorting out stuff is upto the writer's imagination. Writing NSFW or not is up to the writer.

Summary
Taehyung loves to watch dragon movies. He believes that dragons are real but no one around him does. He loves adventures and frequently goes on adventure trips in the forest and secretly wishes he meets a dragon. His dream comes true when he finds an injured dragon while on a forest adventure trip, but he hides the animal from others and treat it bringing medicines and herbs from the camp sight where others are wondering how the first aid kit got missing. He is in the forest for a week and finds the dragon on the first day, so for the whole week he treats dragon and talks with it (even when the dragon can't reply with words it still makes some actions and sounds). When the dragon recovers in a week and it's time for Taehyung to go back to his life in city, he doesn't know why he doesn't want to return.

Remaining story is upto the writer's imagination and they have all the creative freedom to write as they want.

Taehyung’s art college finances his fine arts class a trip to an ancient temple, to experience the beautiful age-old art there.
In the temple, taehyung comes across a beautiful dragon tapestry and, without really meaning too, runs his fingers over it, unbeknownst to the fact that by doing so he awakens the spirit of the dragon in the tapestry, his touch one of the purity of a dragon’s heart triggering the soul trapped in it.
He feels a strange sensation and swears he sees the eyes of the dragon in the artwork flash, but waves it off as his imagination acting up. The rest of the trip passes without incident.
However, in the middle of that night when he’s back in the safe confines of his apartment, taehyung wakes up to a loud noise, when going to look for the source coming across a half shifted dragon jungkook standing in the middle of his living room, claiming since taehyung awoke him it’s his responsibility to take care of him now.
Lots of fluff and soft romance ensues.

Summary
In order to prove his worth, and so marry the princess from the neighbouring kingdom in a political marrige, Crown Prince Jeon Jungkook must embark upon a journey to slay a dragon.
On the way, he befriends an odd, by pretty man (not that he'll sa as much out loud, because he's supposed to be straight for the princess damn it!) named Seokjin.
Jin accompanies Jungkook to find the dragon, and they travel all over the kingdom trying to find one.
One stormy night, taking shelter in a cave, things get a little hot and heavy between them in the name of 'keeping warm'.
Jin admits his feelings for Jungkook and that he's been lying this whole time, in an attempt to save his own life. But he has to come clean because he's fallen for Jungkook. He is a dragon.
It turns out all mythical creatures are shape shifters and many have taken the form of humans to survive. Jin can appear as human, a big ass dragon, or anywhere in between.
Jin shows Jungkook proof by partially transforming an arm. Jin shows off his scales are pearlesecent with pale pink and blue tones. his claws sharp and the areas of skin exposed, where scales dont cover, is silky soft.
Jungkook spends the whole time before the confession saying things like 'I don't WANT to kill a dragon. but I HAVE to. I dont have a choice. I have to kill it, marry this lass who is probably very nice but I've never met, and unite the kingdoms.'
and Jin is constantly like 'But what if... hear me out... you just didn't do that and ran away instead. You could run away with me right now! We're having fun so far right? We could just do this forever.'

A classic TaeKook enemies to friends to lovers au, where dragons, Tae and Kook are students of a dragons (maybe combat training) academy (decide a name) and they both are the top students(not to mention most popular too) of the year, always fighting for the first position in everything. They are the tell-tale rivals who are always going for each other’s throats (CRACK 100%). But what they do not realize is they simply can’t see the other in pain. Queue one of them (consider character a) being hurt physically in someway, maybe while trying to save character b , and b losing it completely. Of course, b, who had to see his nemesis getting hurt cries a lot and the a guy comforts him(classic hurt comfort). Suddenly the b guy becomes extremely protective of the a guy after the accident, the a guy does not want to back down either, so becomes just as protective and pampering too. And slowly their friendship blooms (shower fluffs). Both start pinning for each other but are either too stupid and clueless to realize or are too coward to confess, because of course they value the relation they share within themselves a lot(slow burn and mutual pinning at its finest). But a storm in their relationship comes unannounced creating a huge misunderstanding and pushing them apart(ensue ANGST). But soon they realize it has become physically and emotionally impossible for them to remain separated from each other. They also realize they can no longer remain just friends, both craving for more. And then boom writer does the magic confession thingie and they are boyfies. And then put in some teeth rotting fluff because they are that couple who makes the whole room cringe with their presence alone and they are couple goals because they are so perfect, literally everyone gets jealous of them.

A dragon hunter AU somewhat inspired by the dragons in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild where the pairing chosen by the author are trying to find a dragon/dragons. Few people around the kingdom still believe dragons exist but some still look for them, scrambling to find evidence and leads to help them locate one. According to old myths a dragon’s scales hold great power(s), which is why some people still cling to the hope of eventually obtaining a scale. Character A and character B meet during their travels throughout the kingdom and they eventually decide to work together to find the dragon scales they're after.
Basically an AU where dragons have faded into legend and their scales supposedly hold great magical or sacred power which is why some still try to find them. The author doesn’t need to be familiar with the game to write the prompt, I’ve left it as open as possible so anyone can write their own take on this!
Everything from ship (and additional side-ships if relevant), rating and length is up to the author! Relationships can be romantic but they don't have to be. If the ship chosen is poly they may all meet like character A and B do but character C (and D etc. if applicable) can be introduced in any way the author wants.
The author is free to choose whether they want to include smut or not. Specific dynamics such as top/bottom don't have to be tagged or specified.

In times of war, Dragon Rider Taehyung and his dragon are at the forefront, fighting for their country almost every day. They’re good, an amazing team—until his dragon is shot down and killed by the enemy, leaving Taehyung hurt and alone to fend for himself.
Either: Jeongguk is a dragon of the enemy and after his cruel dragon rider gets killed he’s finally free, but with a broken wing there’s not much a dragon like him can do. Taekook stumble into each other, at first and despite their wounds, they try to fight each other until Taehyung realises Jeongguk only fights to survive not to kill. When Taehyung’s people find them, he persuades them to take Jeongguk with them too, they’re reluctant but take the dragon to base where after some time Taehyung shows Jeongguk what it’s like to be treated with love and respect, not cruelty and punishments — cliche enemies to lovers hehe
Or: wild dragon Jeongguk finds injured and unconscious Taehyung after the battle has ended and takes him to his cave to treat his wounds. Once he escorts Taehyung back to the human’s base, he’ll decide to fight with them against the enemy
Would be cool if the dragon and their rider share a bond, so once Taehyung’s dragon dies he’d obviously feel the pain and loss of that bond for some time. Would also be cool if Taehyung and Jeongguk bonded as dragon and rider in the future 👀

Desperate not to let his mother push him into an arranged marriage, Taehyung runs away.
One day, while he's searching for food, he finds an injured young man instead. He's thin and weak, covered in scars and blood. Taehyung could not in good conscience leave him there. It's not until he's back home that he notices the distinct shackle marks bruising the man's wrists and ankles. Just like Taehyung, Jimin is a man on the run.
While Taehyung struggles to ensure the two will make it through the winter, Jimin focuses on healing and recovering from his trauma. All the while, they must keep themselves safe from those who want to find them.
But really, Taehyung's not so worried. The Knights are spreading these fantastical stories about looking for a "dangerous dragon", and with the villages focused on such stupid rumors, surely no one will notice the pair of them. And in the meantime- Jimin has offered Taehyung an impossible proposal. He's going to teach Taehyung how to do magic.Vmin AU where Jimin is a shapeshifting dragon on the run from an entire kingdom that wants to kill him.
In this universe, magic is normal but limited to only a few people (usually those in high positions of power). It can theoretically be learned by anyone, but only those with a strong gift for it will be able to do much.
Also- Jimin, for all that he's too weak to shift right now, has very little idea how to be human.

These days, dragons mostly look just the same as you or me. Human. But that doesn't mean they aren't still dragons at heart. And dragons treasure one thing above all others: their hoard.
Namjoon is no different, although he collects something much more precious than any gold or gems. Namjoon hoards stories. His private library is host to some of the finest written works in history, including an original Gutenberg Bible and even a couple of works from before the Qin dynasty's burning of books.
So no of course he isn't going to let some dirty little human "borrow" one!aka: Yoongi sneaks into the restricted section of Namjoon's library and comes face to face with a very angry dragon. Somehow he manages to convince said dragon to let him study the book so long as he stays within the library under Namjoon's careful observation. Very careful. Super careful. Bordering-on-uncomfortable-with-how-close-you-are-to-me, careful. (No seriously, do dragons not know what a "personal bubble" is??)

As if expecting a trap.
“Yoongi,” he says. “Min Yoongi.”
“Min Yoongi,” Namjoon repeats, tasting the name on his tongue. He gestures to the computer again when Yoongi clearly hesitates before he finally approaches. Yoongi looks uncomfortable, shifting away from Namjoon, even as Namjoon reaches to log into the computer and opens his archive, typing in all three passwords to that. “Ruin anything in my archives,” Namjoon says, his voice low, breath hot. Yoongi shudders. “Ruin anything in my archives, and I will end you.”

Jimin's dragon likes to hoard socks. And sometimes boxers. This isn’t a problem, except that recently Jimin has noticed a lot of the boxers aren’t his. Turns out, the little dragon has been slipping away in the afternoons Jimin is at dance and stealing boxers from his neighbors house. Well, this is awkward.

In Gwacheon, (archeologist) Yoongi just so happens to stumble across what seems to be a sleeping dragon statue in a tomb with an incredibly beautiful dead man (Kim Seokjin if the he's reading the hanja right) in the open coffin next to it. It's just remarkable how the corpse is in such perfect condition and how detailed the statue is, especially considering how there was barely any other decoration in the chamber save for the incredibly elaborate lock on the outside of the door. It's definitely one of the weirdest things he's seen in his lif- Oh. Scratch that. The incredibly beautiful /alive/ man. And the now awake dragon that's definitely not a statue. Shit.
Story notes: You can decide pretty much the whole story past the description. I have suggestions for plot points that I'll put below. I'd just like to request that the story has no major character death (I'm weak and can't handle it) and is at least 10k (i really like fics as long as possible but if you think a short story works best then please, go ahead). Thank you :)
