Yoongi looks up, meeting his gaze dead on. He struggles to get down, forces his knees to buckle as he kneels in front of the prince. He puts his cane down next to him before he presses his forehead to the cool floor.
“Please… please make sure that you save my family and my people. Nothing more. I want nothing more.”
With an impending war threateningly looming over their heads, Yoongi's parents can only save their people by forming an alliance with the much stronger kingdom of the mountains. This alliance includes the marriage between the royal families.
Yoongi knows that this is the only time he could ever be useful to his people, the only time he could ever prove his worth to them. So, he fulfills his duty and joins the royal consort of prince Kim Taehyung. Things don't turn out the way he expected them to.

Summary
Jungkook is the “spare to the heir” - largely disregarded and now, bartered off in a political marriage to the most infamously monstrous man: Kim Taehyung, Lord of House Kim, whom they call the shadowed beast.
Taehyung, reviled and feared and worshipped from a young age for his terrifying powers, has no interest in the war for the throne. But when he meets and falls in love with his new intended, he thinks: he would climb the bloodied stairs to claim the accursed throne, if only to crown Jungkook as the rightful queen.
Lord Taehyung sees something worthy in Jungkook, who has only ever been treated as the spare to be discarded. And when Jungkook’s ability manifests and comes to light, the rest of the world, too, will come to see.

Jeongguk isn’t one to go out clubbing. But when his best friend, Namjoon, gets a promotion at work and invites him out, he can’t say no.
A gorgeous blond-haired, Jimin, hits on Jeongguk and takes his breath away. Jeongguk takes him home and afterwards, Jeongguk even asks Jimin to stay the night. They stay up and talk until the morning, and Jeongguk is already enamoured – even insisting on driving Jimin home.
