"Hi Mr Grace. I'm Leon Scott Kennedy. Your son's boyfriend." said the man, reaching his free hand out to Grace.
Grace just stared at the hand for a second, before realizing he was supposed to shake it, hurriedly doing just that. It was a solid handshake. Quick and firm. This guy was good at handshakes.

"No, you don't get it," Bryan tells him. "My family is weird. Really, really weird. Please don't come within a mile of the property."
Leon laughs, like Bryan's being witty instead of standing there like a prey animal. It's a very charming laugh, one that urges Bryan to fold. Bryan isn't going to fucking fold. "Everyone's family is weird."
Bryan feels like banging his head against the wall.
*
Bryan's proud of his family. Of course Bryan is proud of his family. He's proud of his freaky parents, and their freaky house, and the ugly mutations he has to keep hidden carefully under his flannel so people don't see them.
People like Leon Kennedy.
or; Bryan should've never had a shot with flawless, kind, normal Leon Kennedy. It's going to be fine, though, because Leon's never going to find out about the family drama, or the family kill count, or the family mutations. It's going to be fine.

Grace nodded, then said, “You guys mentioned there was a, a big angry ball of flesh? In Raccoon Regional Health?”
“Oh, yeah,” Leon said with a shudder. “Horrifying. We were planning to head back and take care of it once and for all, give it a quick end.” It was the very least he could do for—whoever it had once been.
“What if,” she said. “What if you could save them?”
